Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
64% of reviews here touch on service, more than any other theme. Reviewers who mention service rate this place 4.5 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
One subject never comes up here: what it costs. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (18 reviews). Of the 22 rated reviews, 21 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (95/100) with 1 intermediate and 2 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on May 8, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 63% of the Seminole County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include nonfood-contact surfaces clean and food manager certification.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

First time at this place. Food was delicious. However, I drove an hour to meet my niece and her friend, both from Iowa, at the restaurant to have a nice dinner together and catch up before they went back to Iowa. We felt very rushed by the staff asking if we were done with our plates, bowls, etc while we were still eating. Then the gentlemen that walks around to the tables greeting everyone, told us he needed our table as there were people waiting outside. I have NEVER been scooted out of a restaurant before. This was a Sunday and they opened at 5pm and we were basically asked to leave about 6:15pm. We were winding up and probably would have naturally left in the next 5-10 minutes. Left a bad impression. I feel like because we weren't having after dinner drinks, they wanted to get rid of us for people who would have a larger bill. Didn't like that treatment at all, and won't hurry back any time soon, if at all.

Great service. Decent food.
-
Amazing experience, one of the best examples of italian food, enjoyable atmosphere, and the absolute nicest staff, Heather was super kind as was everyone! Food was handmade and made with care! Try the Tiramisu!

Whoever hired the manager as a server needs to think twice. He was very demeaning and told us change comes from within, when giving him a $24 dollar tip. I used to serve and was a manager before, I would never treat paying customers like that. Service was terrible! Maybe change your perspective on how you treat others.

The best dining experience I've had in a while! Stefano and Maria treated us like family. Excellent food, large portions, great hospitality and even better management! The reviews are spot on for this place. We WILL definitely be back!

To be honest, I had just returned from a three week trip through Italy so my expectations for Italian food were pretty high. Nonno’s exceeded them. The Caprese appetizer was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious, and the star of the evening was the pesto...it was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The gnocchi pillowy pasta was rich and creamy, the baked pasta was comforting and cheesy, and even the chicken and broccoli dish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Every dish that came to the table was a hit. The portions were generous, the food arrived hot, and the service was friendly and attentive.

The food is fantastic and the service is the best I highly recommend it!

Amazing. So glad to find the original owner of the Stefano's I used to date my wife at on Aloma. The best pesto in the world...and I've been to Italy. Food is amazing and no corner is cut. He brings in food from all over to ensure the finest ingredients. Don't let the location fool you. This isn't a strip mall restaurant. Update; LOVE the new lunch menu and the addition of sandwiches. Excited to see if a sandwich makes the specials list during lunch as well.

What a nice find. Delicious peppers and onion sandwich. My husband had the meatball sub.He said it was fantastic. Very welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service. The decor is so nostalgic. We will be back.

Nonno’s is a true gem. Tucked away in an older strip mall the facade may be deceiving. Inside is a cozy family atmosphere and quite possibly the most amazing Italian food you’ve ever had the pleasure of putting in your mouth. Try the specials- you won’t be disappointed. They have a small bar with beer and wine, and they offer all the Italian favorites you know. Supper starts early (3pm), and we arrived at 6:30 and waited about 15 minutes for a table. “First available” sometimes translates to bar seating. Sweet spot is about 5:30 pm. Reservations only on Weds, Thurs and Sundays and must be at least 5 ppl. TLDR: eat here. It will ruin all other Italian restaurants for you.

Ate here for the first time. The pesto bread dip was amazing and so was the service by Shannon. Food portions were great and tasted out of this world. I will definitely be back.

I came here with some coworkers after work. I hadn't really ever heard of Nonno's, but someone else did, and I love local recs, so off we went. Ambiance was really nice. Very old-world-Italian-esque. We got seated in a nice corner and got started. I started off with an order of Bruschetta (Toasted bread topped with marinated tomatoes, garlic, basil & a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan) for the table. These were the best I've ever had. Nice, thicc chunks of toast that were actual toast and not just crackers. Also, the pieces of tomato were multicolored and very well coated with that garlic, basil, and Parm. Seriously, the best I've had. Very good stuff. For my main, I had the Veal and Shrimp Parmesan (A classic surf and turf: Breaded shrimp & veal, lightly fried, topped with marinara and baked with melted mozzarella). Wow. This thing was a spectacle. The veal and shrimps were very well pounded thin and very nicely coated with a seasoned breadcrumb mixture. Fried crispy, tasty marinara, tasty melted mozz. Just another great dish. Overall, if you specialize in national chain Italian places, definitely step outside of your comfort zone and come to mom 'n' pop places like this. The quality different is astounding. I loved it here. I'd come back.
