Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
There is no middle ground in these 19 reviews. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.5 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, freshness appears most often — 21% of the corpus, averaging 4.8.
The split is 15 positive to 3 negative across 19 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 14 of 19. Behind those, serving size is raised in 21% of reviews (3.3 average).
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (95/100), with 5 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from September 18, 2025. That puts it ahead of 63% of graded kitchens in Seminole County. What the inspector actually wrote up: nonfood-contact surfaces clean and plumbing installed & maintained.

My daughter placed a delivery order through the restaurant website for us last evening and they forgot our drinks. So when my daughter contacted them about it, Blake, I guess a manager, responded saying how they strive to make every order correctly and did apologize for the inconvenience but offered no compensation for their mistake. Not right. 😡

Taco Tuesday's are the best!
-
The food is consistent good. The staff are friendly and go around checking in and providing drink refills from your table. They do get overwhelmed during peak lunch hours on Tuesdays though, so be prepared to wait.

Simply very good!

I like the size of their tacos and the fact that they use fresh jalapenos right from the garden.

Ordered 2 tacos. I started feeling ill after eating them. No more Tijuana Flats for me.

We were so disappointed when our local Tijuana Flats closed, but we’re happy to say we’ve found our new go-to spot for Taco Tuesday! From the moment we walked in, Sophia provided outstanding customer service—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing. We’ll definitely be back and are excited to make this our new Taco Tuesday tradition!

I went there on MLK day while on my lunch break like I do every week and me and my coworker always get a small amount of queso to go with the chips(sometimes they put it in the box or sometimes we would ask). So when we went on MLK around 11:15 it was a worker named Alex I believed he had glasses me and my coworker asked him for the small little serving of queso like we usually do and Alex said “no I can not give you that we do not give those out you would have to buy it” so I said “we just came here yesterday and been coming here since August and it is always offered or given” and Alex looked me dead in my face and said “oh maybe it was a special condition on why we gave it” so I asked “what was the condition if you don’t mind me asking but I can pay for it now” he said “oh just a special condition” so I go to the register and rung me up for a large queso when I had a good 8 chips in my box so I said “I will be doing a review about this special condition you are talking about what is your name”. He did not want to provide me his name, he walked away from me multiple times while I asked for his name, then when he gave me the queso he had cheese all over his hands and all over the cup and did not provide a lid for the queso then when my coworker asked for a lid for the queso he shrugged it off and the lady in the back that was also work said “oh they’re by the sauce station”. I said “you know those don’t fit”. So Alex gave us a lid and we left . I’m not sure what was going on…

UPDATE: Tijuana has shown incredible follow up service to make things right after my recent disappointing experience. We will of course continue to patron our favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Extremely disappointed in latest experience. Ordered TWO fiesta meal kits for 6 as we had 9 people over for dinner and figured that would be plenty of food with leftovers. WRONG - only enough protein for 12 tacos so we ran out of food. Embarrassing. Do not recommend meal kits for large groups.
