What diners say — our read

There is no middle ground in these 25 reviews. The staff cuts both ways here, averaging 3.6 among the reviews that raise it. What it costs follows at 24% of reviews, where ratings average 2.8.

More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 15 of 25. 17 of 25 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 7 are two or lower. Pacing shows up in 24% of reviews as well, averaging 3.3.

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (94/100), 1 intermediate and 3 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from February 13, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 56% of graded kitchens in Orange County. What the inspector actually wrote up: storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils and plumbing installed & maintained.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Visited on a Sunday evening for the character dining on our FIRST night at Disney! We were so clueless on how to use the dining credits and they were incredibly helpful and patient. The food at the buffet was good, lots of drink options, fun characters, overall great!

This was probably the worst most expensive mediocre dinner ever. We had to walk from the distant parking lot down the road and across the street because the courtesy driver shuttle called out of work we were told. Once we finally got into the hotel, the restaurant was difficult to find as there are no signs. Our reservation was at 5:35pm and we weren't seated until a little after 7pm. I made the reservation months in advance. We were definitely treated like an afterthought. The food was sparse and terrible. The only positive thing I can say is that the kids enjoyed seeing the characters. I would never visit this restaurant again.

The food quality and selection were unacceptable, particularly for a premium-priced restaurant at Disney’s flagship resort. Among other issues: • The eggs were gelatinous and unappetizing. • Many of the items intended to be served hot were cold. • Omelets took approximately 15 minutes to arrive, and our server indicated that they were not prepared on-site. • The fruit selection was extremely limited. • No milk was available at the buffet for the cereal, requiring guests to locate a server and then wait for it to be brought to the table. • The bagels were hard and stale and appeared comparable to low-quality frozen grocery-store bagels. There was also a strong and extremely unpleasant odor throughout the restaurant. It was difficult to understand how the condition could have gone unnoticed or unaddressed by the restaurant staff. The service was slow and inattentive. Basic requests took an unreasonable amount of time, and the overall level of service was nowhere near what a guest should reasonably expect when paying more than $300 for breakfast. The experience felt disorganized and neglected from beginning to end. The character performers were excellent, and the smoked salmon was good. Unfortunately, those limited positives could not overcome the poor food, inadequate service, unpleasant odor, and lack of basic buffet amenities. I am genuinely shocked that an experience of this quality is being offered at the Grand Floridian under the Disney name. The food and service fell…

What an amazing place. The buffet was very large and a lot to choose from (carved meats, pasta, salads, veggies, soups, desserts). The character dining is very cool and worth the price. They really go out of their way to make it fun.

Had reservations for dinner so we could see the princesses after taking my daughter to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and we arrive 15 minutes early, after walking through florida heat for 15 minutes... to find out the reservations are running 35-45 minutes late... this is the 3rd terrible experience we've had. 0 for 3 at disney resort dining.

Food was delicious, Helen was attentive and friendly. Loved it so much.

  • June 12, 2026

Worst character experience ans horrible service. Our waiter was retirement age came over and spilled all the drinks on ous and our food. The characters come to your table once ONLY and if you party is not all at the table they ignore you and your kids excited little faces to see you and move to the next table. DO BETTER DISNEY this place is very expensive and the vibe is all off. The waitors and other workers are rude and just want to clock out. Retire your old staff and train people to actually want to work. What happened to the disney standard? Save your money and go to mcdonalds. You will get treated the same honestly

Our waitress Steph was amazing! Explained everything in detail, very friendly, made sure the kids were taken care of! Would 10/10 recommend this place, they made sure to ask if all the princesses visited our table and snow white made a special trip to come and see our kids. Food was excellent as well

This is one of the best character meals at Disney. This is one that after going the first time, you know you are going back when you plan your next Disney trip. The breakfast buffet is loaded with variety and it is all so very good. It makes you rethink your park day. Thankfully as much walking as you will do, that feeling subsides within the hour. The staff are all amazing, kind and quick with drink refills. I will always request this character dining every single time!!

For the price what a adventure, large buffet with something everyone should like. From prime rib to cheese pizza. The dessert are just as good as the shrimp. Plus Disney Characters make a guest appearance at your toes. I would suggest saving a little money and go enjoy a once in a life time meal at a beautiful resort

The brunch buffet here was fantastic, lots of options and the strawberry soup was a standout.

This was our second time at this restaurant. We loved it even more than the first time! We had delicious food, great service, and met Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel & Tiana. The staff there were all so kind & helpful! I highly recommend this restaurant! ❤️

It would be way better if you still played the band organ on the balcony.

  • May 13, 2026

Absolutely amazing in every aspect! Love it!

The food was probably the worst part of the experience, it was better then another buffet place we tried at disney, but still not very good and wasnt worth going back for seconds. I've had better buffet food not at disney. Service was pretty decent, best part was they were very fast at refilling our drinks, which we very much appreciate while being at disney and walking around a lot, need to keep hydrated. The best part is meeting the characters. But they swapped out a character when we got there and gave us no warning or anything. We might not of done the dinner if we knew they were going to swap mirable for snow white. Snow white is cool and all, but this was our third time seeing her. Never got to interact with mirable while on our trip (which Encanto is my favorite disney film). Aladain tho was really great, think he was the highlight, he sounds so much like the character and was just so much fun. We met tiana before at another dinner, but I liked that this time she had her explorer outfit on, so made it different and fun. My mom was very happy she got to get a pic with Cinderella (her favorite princess). The inside of the dinner area is ok, not that fun to me personally. But I guess it does match the rest of the buildings look, but none of it is as fun looking as other disney buildings.

Character interactions was wonderful!!!!!! Each character not only stopped at our table but stayed and talked to each child for a long time. Our waiter Bob was phenomenal and offered suggestions and took great care of ua.

On our “off day” in the middle of the week, we scheduled a breakfast buffet at 1900 Park Fare, located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The setting is elegant, and the buffet is excellent, with all the classic breakfast offerings. The highlights had to be the Mickey-shaped waffles—particularly delicious, even without syrup—and a standout breakfast pizza from the kids’ section: gravy, cheese, egg, and bacon on a croissant. Phenomenal. The default mango-guava juice was also excellent. Four characters were roaming the dining room, giving the kids a chance to meet Cinderella, Aladdin, and Tiana, which made the experience even more memorable.

We had such an amazing night at 1900 Park Fare! It was by far my kids favorite night of our trip- thanks to the cast member who played Aladdin. He made it unforgettable for my son and I am sure he will be talking about it for months! What a wonderful experience and dining option.

This is the worst breakfast at Disney World. It is on par with included continental breakfast available at places like Hampton Inn, but at a very high price. I strongly suggest they end breakfast service to save face for the hotel to maintain its image. I will never return.

  • April 14, 2026

One of the best character breakfast at Disney. The characters move through quickly so you’re not sitting for extended period of time waiting trying to keep kids entertained.

  • April 6, 2026

I visited this restaurant for dinner and found it to be very accommodating overall. One of the highlights was the character dining experience—four different characters visited each table, which made it especially fun and memorable. I did not use the meal plan, and the total for one adult and one child came to $120.35 after taxes. The dinner food itself was very good, with a nice Southern touch that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, dessert was a major disappointment. The vanilla cupcakes were extremely dry and tasted like they came from a grocery store rather than a restaurant. The biggest issue, however, was the service. My reservation was delayed due to accessibility-related conflicts, which was frustrating. During the meal, I felt rushed by staff—they began cleaning and even sweeping near my table while I was still eating. I was also repeatedly asked to give up my plate while I was clearly not finished, which made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, while the food and character experience were enjoyable, the service significantly impacted my visit in a negative way.

  • April 3, 2026

The breakfast buffet was severely lacking. For the amount of money they charge per person, it was beyond disappointing. I’ve seen better looking food options with more variety at hospital cafeterias. There was nothing special about this.

Had a wonderful time at our dinner. The service and atmosphere is incredible. Foods just ok but you're paying for the experience. Would absolutely return

  • March 19, 2026

Delicious buffet, characters are fun and charming, and they are wonderful with unusual allergies!
