Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The 4.4-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.3 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, what it costs appears most often — 25% of the corpus, averaging 2.8.
Of the 16 rated reviews, 14 sit at four stars or better and 2 at two or below. What nobody raises here is tidiness — it goes unmentioned across all 16 reviews. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 16.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (94/100), with 1 intermediate and 3 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from February 19, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 56% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Chef Mickey is absolutely wonderful. Its pure magic with my daughter getting to see all 5 characters and interact with them. The staff is wonderful as well and the food is great. You will definitely get full on the food

Had a fun time, ate too much and got to meet all my Disney friends 🧡

Best experience at a character meal I've had in all the years I've come to Disney. Great kid friendly buffet. Great food selection. Excellent food allergy specialist. Good job Disney.

This was one of the best experiences! Book it! I have heard mixed reviews on the food and I felt it was great! The experience was magical for our kiddos.

Food was average. Definitely not comparable or worth the money. The only thing you are paying for are the characters to come out to say hi. The server was rude and cleared my phone into the dishwasher. Criminal!! Our family about 10 of us were going back and forth taking food. He took the drink orders from the others first. I asked for the same drink when he was putting down their drink. After 10 mins I came back from the buffet and I still didn’t get my drink. So when he came to start clearing plates I asked him again. He claimed I gave another person at the table the drink he put down. ?? I didn’t because I don’t even know what the others ordered as I was busy trying to get food. The drink wasn’t at my seat in front of me. He started bickering with me till his co worker stepped in and offered to bring the drink over. Also they cleared my phone into their dishwasher. I went to wash and placed my child’s placemat and spoon back to the stroller and than went back to the restaurant to settle the bill with my husband and his cousin. I didn’t see my phone on the table. After I reached the monorail and realised the phone wasn’t in my bag I went back twice. They claim that they don’t have it but let me look at where we sat which had everything cleared and directed me to the lobby. I insisted they take my husband’s number in case it turned up as I was pretty sure the last time I used it it was at the table. I went to the lobby and they didn’t have it, a lady kindly let me call my…

Absolutely had a blast. My kids had a wonderful time meeting all the characters. The food was great as well. Yeah, it's pricey, but you're paying for not only the food but the whole experience.
-
Buffet food was excellent and having the characters is special.

Expensive.

The early morning option is best option (Just make sure the Monorail is on time).
-
Amazing time at Chef Mickey! The characters ensure they go around to each table and my kids were in awe and the whole experience was just magical! 10/10 recommend!

Experiência ímpar, tomar um legítimo café da manhã americano com a presença dos personagens

First time we ever did this at night, we usually do the morning visit! The people that do the characters are really Awesome! Very patient, Very attentive to every child that wanted to be with them! The food could have been better, wasn't that usual great tasting food we have been used to there.

We had such a wonderful time here. The customer service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the character interactions were perfect. Every character visited our table, giving us plenty of time to take great pictures and make wonderful memories.

We have been doing this breakfast for 26 years. It's our favorite character dining option.
-
Absolutely fantastic and the food was seasoned to perfection. Enjoyed the entertainment and the staff went above and beyond. Loved every minute

The reception was fine, but the food is bad—poor quality, a disorganized buffet, and limited options; what is available is cold, reheated fast food. I wouldn't even recommend the character experience. They visit every table but don't stay for more than five seconds, and there is zero interaction. The atmosphere is crowded and disorganized. It’s overpriced—dinner for three children and two adults cost $350. I do not recommend it.
