What diners say — our read

People either love this place or they do not, and the ratings show it. Reviews mentioning service average 3.8 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. Pacing follows at 25% of reviews, where ratings average 3.4.

Behind those, freshness is raised in 20% of reviews (3.0 average). If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (12 reviews). Newer reviews score better than older ones (3.8 recent against 3.3 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. DBPR last walked in on February 12, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Seminole County restaurants we grade. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Everything above is computed from the 20 reviews reproduced below.

Great food and great service! Always the same friendly smiles and they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, I've even received an extra slice on occasion just because! Can't find a better local pizza joint!

  • June 22, 2026

We usually come around 8:30 to get their last few slices and refuse to go anywhere else, genuinely the best pizza we have had. both the guy making the pizzas and the lady at the front are super friendly and make it worth the extra $$

You can't pay me to go back to this place. Nothing like New York.

  • June 15, 2026

Very friendly pizza fixed specially how I ordered it. Was going to go back after my salon visit to order a pizza to go but the manicure and pedicure took 4 hours and I was just worn out. But Anthony's pizza is the best around either eating in or to go.

Well..... ill never be returning here... smh! My fi4st time here is walk in i order my food and then I tell the young girl that rang me up im going to go sit and she said ok. So I went found the table I was going to eat at an waited patiently, the same young girl comes over with 2 boxes an says that was to go right an I said no mam I was staying to eat I had said I was going to find a table she responded well I already rang it up to go so your going to have to leave owners rules, stunned by the remark so I said but I never even mentioned anything to go and she said well I assumed it 2as for take out an I said no sorry it wasn't. Then as she com3s over to hand me the box I said this is crazy ive never heard of such a thing she said well that's what it is and I said thats wild definitely bad business then she replies well thats your opinion and walked off..... I can honestly say that was one of the most bizarre and rude unprofessional interactions I've ever had in a restaurant instead of a simple oops im sorry let me fix that it was your going to have to leave. Sad... just sad.

Rude server complaining to regulars about our the fact that I complained that my Alfredo was cold and gritty along with the cold pizza we were served

Tonight was our first visit to Anthony’s pizza in Casselberry , but it definitely will not be our last! We had the veggie pizza which was one of the very best I’ve ever had… Cooked perfectly, delicious and full of fresh ingredients and exceptional cheese. and the garlic knots are deliciously decadent! Friendly staff, the order was on time, and Dollar for Dollar one of the best values in town.

You cannot order ahead for in restaurant seating. That’s not why the rating is 1 star, it was just important so I wanted it to be at the top. We did order ahead, but we had little kids and they were okay about it. However, they were not busy and yet we waited 20 minutes AFTER we came in, when we called ahead 20 minutes before, meaning 40 minutes had elapsed since ordering. It was a plain pizza. It never came out. My kids were too hungry and we had to leave. They did try and give us an order at one point and it wasn’t ours. Instead of apologizing the woman got mad at me and huffed off. The names were not close or similar, nor were the orders. I wasn’t mad or rude, I was actually very polite and don’t think I deserved to be treated that way. Would not recommend and will not be back.

Ridiculously expensive. 10 dollars for 2 slices not including tax

Went to take out for lunch and wanted to throw a nice review because the pizza is good! My lunch cost 16 and change for two specialty slices and a medium drink. Pretty darn expensive for a quick pizza lunch to be honest. Service was friendly and quick, no dilly dallying like you see at a slice shop often. The pizza was actually very good, crispy, super thin but stable crust, good cheese and sauce flavor. Toppings were made nicely too. Would love to come try a full pie soon, but its above average pizza for central florida notorious for mediocre pizza.

Okay pizzeria just average miss my New York pizzas.

  • January 19, 2026

Been here 2 times and every time the staff looks miserable, like customers are inconveniences. Ordered their lunch special which comes with 2 cheese slices and a soda. Upcharged me for a slice with toppings (common) but when my order was ready, box was flung on the counter and guy behind the counter just walked off, didn't even care to ask about the drink. Main waitress also handles cashiering and looked like she could care less. Never coming back, sad since the pizza isn't all that bad. Deff doesn't taste like a New York style pizza either.

    The best pizza

  • January 4, 2026

Ordered calamari and pizza. Friend ordered minestrone. Calamari were undercooked very pale. Minestrone looked like northern bean soup. Dont know whos in the kitchen but its not good.

  • January 2, 2026

This is our go-to for pizza and drinks, and we have tried lots of places, but none come close! Thank you Eva and team for always treating us like family!
