Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
There is no middle ground in these 21 reviews. Where front-of-house comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.4, so it reads as a strength.
Of the 21 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (16 of 21).
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (98/100), 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was April 22, 2026. Ranked against Lake County, it is safer than 92% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited nonfood-contact surfaces clean and insects/rodents/pests.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Chesser's Palace Café is such a charming little breakfast spot almost diner vibes style in downtown Clermont! They have a wonderful variety of breakfast options, and everything we ordered was very fresh. I had the spinach, tomato, and feta omelet with grits, and both were excellent. The omelet was fluffy and flavorful, and the grits were creamy and cooked perfectly. Our server, Heylee, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing, making the whole experience even better. One of the best parts is the location. It's just steps from the Clermont Waterfront, making it the perfect place to grab breakfast after a morning walk, bike ride, or parkrun. If you're looking for a cozy local restaurant with great food, welcoming service, and a relaxed atmosphere, Chesser's Palace Café is definitely worth a visit. I would absolutely dine here again!

The food was absolutely wonderful. We had breakfast there this morning. Our server Katie was wonderful! Every everything was so good. We had to have a piece of cake for dessert which was also spectacular. On top of all that they leave you a cute little note saying thank you for coming, which is a fantastic touch

If you haven’t been to Cheesers Palace yet, you are seriously missing out. We ordered the shrimp and crab eggs Benedict, and it was a total knockout. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with fresh flavor. Beyond the incredible food, the staff treats you like family from the moment you walk in. The service is incredibly warm and friendly, and the entire space has an inviting, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. We will absolutely be back!

Staff super friendly!!!

I tried this café because they have good reviews and they have one some award, but their crêpes dried my tongue out severely. I have never had that kind of experience. The sausage did not look appetizing so I did not eat them. The omelette was pretty good. I felt like I wasted my $40 but the people inside were nice.

Delightful breakfast nook with excellent menu and healthy options. A local favorite, and the popularity shows. Recommended as good breakfast choice

We stumbled upon Cheeser’s Palace Cafe by accident, and it turned out to be an amazing find! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back.

VENDING MACHINE IS BRILLIANT! Everything was closed to eat and I was able to get a quality tomato soup with French bread and two desserts, ALL for less than $20. The Biscoffi cake and strawberry cake was very good! LOVED having this option.❤️

Food and service were really good.

Homie restaurant. We went for breakfast. They always busy. Healthy and light breakfast

The service, food and environment awesome. Honestly don’t leave reviews unless the establishment is exceptionally well or poor and I would say they deserve 5 starts!
-
Delicious food and outstanding service at Cheeser's Palace Cafe! Excellent place to gather +30 Esplanade's Men ROMEOs for breakfast to eat, socialize, and get to know each other better. Most definitely coming back again with our retired guys at Esplanade for another Men's Breakfast or Brunch Event. Hopefully Amanda had as much fun cooking as we had eating! Thanks again Amanda & Staff for an awesome morning!

This place is very excellent

Very disappointing experience. The Hollandaise sauce smelled awful, the Eggs Benedict came with a fried egg instead of a poached egg, and both the table and the cutlery were dirty. The service was not good either. Sadly, the whole experience was a disaster.
-
Sadly we weren’t able to eat anything because the restaurant was a mess, the waiters were NOT polite! They didn’t really care of having me and my family with kids as costumers. We waited for more than 40 minutes, and after that they informed us that they wouldn’t be able to attend us.

great food + great service

I had gluten free French toast with eggs and bacon. My husband had the egg Benedict. It was delicious. I also had the cappuccino and it was good as well. Our waitress and everyone was friendly.

This is wonderful local restaurant! We go often for breakfast; they have a good variety, the food is good and is ready quickly. The service is excellent.
