What diners say — our read

The trajectory matters more than the average on this listing. The staff cuts both ways here, averaging 3.9 among the reviews that raise it. How long an order takes follows at 21% of reviews, where ratings average 4.3.

15 of 19 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 19. Whether food comes out hot shows up in 16% of reviews as well, averaging 5.0.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. That result dates from January 9, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Brevard County restaurants we grade. No violations were recorded at that visit, which is the cleanest result available.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Not our first time here, but first time with subpar service and food. Hopefully was a 1 off, as always had good service and food before. Came in Sunday for lunch, quickly sat, greating not too far afterwards. But ordered app and 2 types of tacos, both tacos came out before the app, tacos were horrible - shimp chewy on one set, and fish was so over seasoned you could not taste anything but. Server told about the issue, says oh thats not good and walked away. No other offers to correct, no offers for more drinks or anything. Then when he came back with out check and took both plates of uneaten food he advised "I took 10% off your bill for you" - I was not looking for a discount, I was looking for edible lunch. Usually get good service and great food, maybe a bad day for server and cook - i dont know.

This is the pinnacle of FL beach vibes. The staff, drinks and food are great, it's on the beach itself, the atmosphere, music and people are fantastic.

Madilyn (I think, but we kept calling her madison) was wonderful and patient with our table of 7. She gave good recommendations and knew the menu well. The food was great but I do wish the jerk seasoning had more cayenne. It was still tasty nonetheless. The salsa was good and chunky too!

We had an amazing experience at Coconuts on the Beach! The food and service were both excellent. Our waitress, Shay, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations. We ordered the grouper tacos and the mahi bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. For dessert, the pineapple crème brûlée was incredible, and the signature frozen drink, the Pain in the Ass, was the perfect beach cocktail. The ocean views are beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy a meal. We also really appreciated that they’re service dog friendly, which made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re in Cocoa Beach, Coconuts on the Beach is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I was told my group of 5 just had to come here to eat. From the moment we came in we were met with sub-par customer service and then less than sub-par food. Our waitress, Olivia, was half asleep and no help at all and a bit snarky when we were paying the bill. The scallops had “sand” or let’s hope all it was sand in them. So they were dirty. The other plate of Shrimp Scampi, the noodles were way over cooked. I believe mine just had a gallon of sauce poured on my plate. I cannot even begin to talk about the other two plates of food. This is a popular place and yet we all walked away just feeling blah about our whole experience. Do better. Do better.

If there is a launch at the Cape, this is the place to be, fantastic. Food is ok but your are there for the view, it's a beach bar and a busy one.

In town for a few day and decided to try Coconuts on the Beach. The wait for a table was about 20 minutes on a Thursday evening. The staff was friendly and pretty prompt (it was very busy), food arrived quickly and fresh, it was also pretty amazing! Would definitely return and highly recommend stopping here if in town.

Jerk Mahi is highly recommended! The fish dip was excellent and the shrimp and scampi appetizer didn't disappoint!! Jerk Grouper tacos were tasty too. Our group of 10 had an amazing server! Be sure to buy the cooks a shot!! We included our server, she was very thankful (said that has never happened)🙂

If you go for a birthday make sure to not pay bills before getting the cake. I went for my wife’s 40th and after about 5 times reminding the waiter about the cake he thought it was smarter to charge everyone before the happy birthday which made people think night was over and start leaving. Do NOT celebrate a birthday there.

The corn and crawfish chowder was incredible. Great selection of tasty frozen drinks and a lovely view of the beach.

We went here to start our trip to the Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area and we do not regret it! Our waitress, Lisa, was super nice and friendly. Our food came within 10 minutes of ordering, too! I ordered the 10 wings made in BBQ sauce with ranch. I finished all of them and they were excellent! My grandma got Coconut Shrimp and says it was awesome and she loved the curry sauce with it. My grandpa got the Cod Sandwich and says it was wonderful. Also, the environment, both with the beach and some funny low-flying birds really demonstrated an excellent restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere.

Would have given it 5 stars but someone there tried to scam me with taking a photo then charging 20 dollars and kept pressuring me on it. absolute scam, will never willfully go here again.

I love everything about that Beach

I ordered chicken tenders, and they do not have honey mustard. I have never been to a restaurant that does not have that flavor.
