What diners say — our read

Not every diner trusts the room — though the last inspection found little to support that. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.5 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it.

Behind those, pacing is raised in 15% of reviews (5.0 average). More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 6 of 13. 9 of 13 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower.

That matters because 15% of reviews raise cleanliness and rate it 3.0 on average — a complaint the inspection record does not support, since DBPR graded the kitchen an A (100/100). That result dates from April 24, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Brevard County restaurants we grade. Nothing was written up at that inspection at all.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

I recently had my wedding here and Jillian C did such an amazing job as our wedding planner and coordinator. She helped facilitate each of the outside vendors to work with us to help make our day special. Our guests also had an amazing time and the Courtyard did a wonderful job. The food, drinks and service was phenomenal and we are so grateful for such a wonderful and very special wedding.

The most disrespectful staff I’ve ever dealt with after staying in Marriott properties over 65 days this year. Rooms were dirty, staff was unacceptable and so rude. I would never stay here again!

Great experience from the front desk to the pool to the custodial staff - very friendly and well maintained comfortable hotel with many amenities. Beach is a little far walk but pool is very nice!

I have had a great experience while staying at the Courtyard Marriott Cocoa Beach,FL.|All the staff have been very nice to me but one person who stands out is Dhara, |She went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable here and she added to the pleasant experience. We had family come from|3 different states for a special memorable experience and she added to that. I was under the impression. She was the general manager due to her likeness, her kindness, her experience, expertise and Customer Service.. ||Though we are just arrived from Connecticut, she made the arrival exceedingly better by checking us in to a very nice room with a balcony. The view was amazing. The room was extremely clean. She added that final touch to such an amazing day. It was really fine, very clean. Very pleasant The Customer Service from every single person we counter was amazing. I might add that the young lady that work’s in the evening was quite pleasant. Also on the young lady that worked at the Courtyard Cabana was very kind, pleasant with us as we continue to have more than our share of fun, but again just wanna say thank you as well to the housekeepers housekeeping manager should be so proud of her team members as that room was impeccable. ||Again, thank you for such an amazing experience. Should we arrive back to Orlando Florida for the next cruise to Stephanie will be our destination hotel. ||Dhara one day you will be hiring me. It would be a pleasure to work for you. You’re such a…

Orfu and Dawson were great getting us checked in after a long day. When we first arrived Dawson was very cheerful. Got checked in the room and it didn’t have a couch and I thought I reserved that as part of our room. Went back to front desk Orfu said no worries we can change it with a couch with the same rate. Went to get our stuff and Dawson had our room keys ready! The rest of the staff was pleasant the rest of our stay as well!

Charged for the stay twice. Guys - please get your act together. When I arrived you tried charging me for the stay then realised I had already paid. Then upon leaving you asking for payment and again realised I’d already paid. Now you’ve charged it to my credit card! What the ….. Upon arrival single bed not made up and being late evening with two little ones on my own being told I can make up the bed myself … not great I’m happy to amend the review once I have received an apology and a refund.

Terrible customer service they don’t care about guest and let random people charge to your room and make no effort to fix

The staff here were all amazing and made sure my boyfriends birthday was memorable. They were also very helpful when he hurt his knee.

Rochelle was the bartender in the bistro bar and she was amazing. Great service and fast. Perfect drinks.

The rooms were very nice and the food was reasonably priced at this hotel

We stayed at the Courtyard prior to a cruise departure and were impressed. Our last stay here was 2018 so it has been a minute. The updates were well done - best I have seen for most hotels. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly at the front desk and the Starbucks / Bar area. It was so easy to grab breakfast and coffee in the morning before heading to the ship. While it is a littler further from the port, it is well worth it!

My favorite hotel in the area. About 15 minutes from the port canaveral cruise port with an indoor restaurant and outdoor pool. The hotel food isn't that tasty however. In walking distance to other restaurants as well. The rooms are large with a balcony and comfortable. This hotel is pricey however but convenient. Pass on the cruise shuttle and take a ride share if staying there and you then need to cruise. The shuttle takes too long, and goes to many other hotels before going to the port.

Nice place, nice location. It's also the first Marriott I've stayed at that doesn't allow outside food or drink by the pool. They require that you get food/drink from them. Pretty crappy.

The staff here was so friendly and engaging. The room and hotel is clean and has a chill vibe.

We stayed here for one night before a cruise and were really disappointed. The photos are misleading — they make it look like an oceanfront property, but it’s not. Our room overlooked the parking lot, and there’s no real ocean view from most of the hotel. I travel frequently and have Marriott Gold status, so I’m very familiar with what to expect. When I asked for bottled water at check-in, I was told they “don’t participate in that,” which was surprising and not consistent with most Marriott properties. I was also told this hotel is independently owned, but regardless, it reflects poorly on the Marriott brand. We did eat at the pool bar, and I want to call out that the bartender/server was excellent — friendly, attentive, and clearly doing her best. The food overall was good, but my mahi was almost raw. When I sent it back, I was told they couldn’t remake it due to timing and was given chicken instead (which was cheaper), but the bill wasn’t adjusted. They offered a free dessert. Again, the server handled it well — this felt more like a management issue than a staff issue. Between the misleading photos, lack of basic elite benefits, and how issues were handled, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again — especially if you have Marriott status. I shared all this with the front desk clerk when I checked out, but there was no resolution with the restaurant charges.

Thank goodness for fine folks like Ellen, made my arrival amazing after long day traveling. As frequent visitor, she provided quite the welcome back

We spent 5 nights at this Courtyard and had a great stay. Dawson at the front desk easily stood out as one of the most helpful and dedicated employees I’ve ever encountered at a Marriott. Thank you Dawson for all of your help at check-in and throughout the week! The laundry room right on our floor had ample machines that were always available, and the meals we ordered in the restaurant were prompt and delicious! Easy beach access, with only a short walk to the beach. Our only issue all week was pigeons rendering our balcony unusable though I imagine the hotel has little control over this issue.

    Great location for cruising.

Our family enjoyed a two-night stay at this hotel, largely thanks to Dontay at the front desk. He was incredibly helpful and friendly when checking us in. Later, when our friends arrived, Dontay went above and beyond to ensure they had a seamless experience and helped get our rooms close together.||We appreciated the outstanding customer service!

  • March 20, 2026

My birthday stay was amazing and Dontay from front office made it special with the room and amenities!
