Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners writing about this place keep returning to how guests are treated. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.5 stars. After that, speed of service appears most often — 21% of the corpus, averaging 4.2.
Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 25 of the 29 reviewers who rated. The split is 25 positive to 2 negative across 29 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a B (84/100) with 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 5 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That inspection was on February 26, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 24% of the Brevard County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were clean clothes and dishwashing facilities.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Shannon was great and very helpful! We appreciate all of her great service!

Shark pit bar and grill is amazing. Ask for Paul and Shannon they mix great drinks and are super friendly. Happy hour is from 3:00PM to 6:00PM and I would not miss it! Paul recommended the white pizza with ham and pepperoni plus J. Linder Cabernet and the combination was to die for!

Richard treated us right and the food was yummy! Five stars isn’t enough for Richard! From the moment we sat down, the service was absolutely exceptional. He was attentive without being intrusive, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and made us feel like valued guests throughout our entire meal. His professionalism, positive attitude, and attention to detail completely elevated our dining experience. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely takes so much pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. Honestly, if anyone should be running this restaurant, it’s him. He sets the standard for what outstanding customer service should look like. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for him every time!

Richard so attentive even when very busy, gave a+ service!
-
Emily, Teresa and 2 young guys so welcoming and informative. Pizza (especially paradise), app sampler and potato waves so so good.

Service was overall slow despite only a few people dining alongside. Gator Bites were decent despite the price. Water we received tasted weird, idk if it was bad storage or actually tap water from the sink. Overall Shark Pit left much to be desired.

Wait for a table was long even with empty seats. Seemed like the staff was in the weeds. Food was great but a bit overpriced. Atmosphere was nice but small.

Shannon was awesome and took care of my relentless family with grace.

Very impressive hotel restaurant, food is good and prices are very reasonable. The hamburgers and pizza are some of the best in Cocoa Beach. The pizza dough is made fresh on site and belive me, you'll notice. The staff is exceptional, Shannon, Emily, Theresa and Paul are extremely friendly and very attentive. With all of this greatness, I can't recommend the Nachos. Too much cheese, too much toppings. My stomach grumbled later that evening. The atmospher

Shannon was our waitress, and she was amazing! Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food, and friendly service! Thanks Shannon for making my daughters birthday a night to remember!

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed, and the employees looked exhausted and overwhelmed throughout our visit. My eggs were not cooked as ordered, so I politely asked for them to be remade. When the replacement plate arrived, I found hair in the food. At that point, it was difficult to feel comfortable eating the meal. It may have been an unfortunate accident, but the presentation of the replacement dish made me question the level of care being given to food preparation. I understand that busy days happen and staffing shortages can make things challenging, but better quality control and attention to food handling would greatly improve the customer experience.
