What diners say — our read

The newer reviews here read better than the older ones — 4.8 against 3.9. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.2, so it reads as a strength.

5 stars is the modal score, given by 16 of the 24 reviewers who rated. The split is 21 positive to 3 negative across 24 rated reviews.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (92/100) with 1 intermediate and 5 basic violations. That inspection was on March 23, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 49% of graded kitchens in Brevard County. Among the items recorded were potentially hazardous foods properly thawed and dishwashing facilities.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Great vibe, better pizza! The views from the deck have never been beat, you will never go wrong with a slice from Ryan’s, couldn’t recommend this place more highly. It’s an absolute must stop!

Stopped in at Ryans for some wings and vibes and boy did they deliver on both fronts. The wings were perfect, and the entertainment, “Adam Abstract” was amazing. The variety of music he went through was wild! Will be back 🌊 🏝️

Great roof top viewing area and, of course, restaurant. The downstairs portion is great also. The staff are friendly and the food is great.

  • June 27, 2026

Extremely varied menu (not just pies and calzones, although that is what they are known for) and an awesome rooftop deck (the main draw in my opinion) with great views of Cocoa Riverfront Park and the Indian River!

Finally, after many years of just not finding the right time to swing in to grab a bite it happened - in the middle of running a bunch of errands we decided to stop for lunch. Sat at bar with a little more than a half a dozen 'lunch break'/day drinkers and and got great service from Kelly. Kicked of the meal with some Garlic Fries - very yummy. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside dripping with garlicky flavor. Enjoyed fish tacos (cobia today) and a sausage parmesan sandwich. Knew we'd be running around most of the afternoon, so grabbed a white meat lovers pizza for dinner and next day lunch. It was very good, little light on the total amount of meat (assuming so they can keep price reasonable in these days of high food prices), crust was perfect thickness and not greasy.

    Pizza was great

  • June 13, 2026

Had drinks and pizza on the rooftop. It was out first time here. Absolutely loved it.

There's an option to sit upstairs, outside on their rooftop bar and restaurant with a spectacular view of the river or downstairs inside dining is offered as well with beautiful views of the river and historic Cocoa Village! They have been serving Brevard County for over 20 years!!! Some of my favorites are their homemade stuffed spinach slice and beer battered fish and chips basket! They are well known for their pizza, calzone and stromboli! The dough is made from scratch daily! There is something for everyone on their menu!

Very bad experience.... it seems to be a good place to get drunk with your friends watching football, but without expecting a great service or food. The MANAGER itself brought the pizza to our table and just left right there.... next to our table.... without serving us or even letting us know that we should serve ourselves! My basket of beer battered shrimp came with exactly 12 super small shrimps and 5 pounds of french fries. The kitchen garbage can was 5ft away from my pizza... nasty! Not coming back anymore.

Wonderful spot in Cocoa Beach, we sat upstairs on the deck and in the shade we had a very peaceful and delicious meal. I had the stuffed spinach and cheese slice, was quite yummy, would definitely recommend

Had lunch June 8. Second floor is open air with nice view. Had cheesesteak sub and house salad. Sub was good but light on meat. Salad was very good. Shay our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Restroom doors need cleaning and new paint.

This is one of my all time pizza places! Very nice staff and atmosphere. Very welcoming and the food is out of the world!

For our first visit here, Sydney made the experience amazing. From her warm friendly welcome to the last laugh we shared, the entire visit was great. The view from the upstairs deck was spectacular with a cool breeze the entire time. The drinks were reasonable and refreshing. The garlic knots, pizza and wings came out quickly and tasted delicious and fresh. Sydney’s recommendations were spot on. We can’t wait visit Ryan’s again.

    Love the food and view!

  • May 31, 2026

I cant quite give it 5 stars but I will say 90% of the time or more this is a great place to go. On my days off work I would be able to have a lovely river view combined with great views. Cocoa Village is a great place to visit and take in. If someone is not feeling Ryan's as a place to eat there are plenty of other great options. I personally suggest Ryan's.

UPDATE: So I decided to give "in house" a try on 5/18 at roughly 4:30pm. Wouldn't ya know the EXACT same thing happened. My "Ryan's special" pizza slice came out looking like a old, over cooked version of a meat lovers pizza that was thrown a overly healthy does of black olives and this time.... sliced red peppers. (Red peppers weren't listed and a topping for the Ryan's Special) No green peppers and no mushrooms. When I confronted the waitress she said "that's how we do it". When I pointed out that the menu said it would have specific items....she literally shrugged her shoulders and said "that's just how we do it". Once again my pizza was gross and NOT what I ordered. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ITS OVERRATED!!!! Ryan's is sooooooo 8 years ago! 🤮 Ordered through DoorDash...... I ordered the Ryan's Special (I've ordered this many times before).... tonight my order was an disgustingly OLD version of onion and pepperoni pizza turned into a Ryan Special. And by attempted ... I mean they took a old, leftover piece of pepperoni and onion pizza and threw some black olives on top. They weren't cooked....literally sliced and chucked on top. It was DISGUSTING. I CLEARLY received the "we're lazy version" of the Ryan's Special. Won't order from them again. Thanks for wasting my money!
