What diners say — our read

The recurring subject in this corpus is front-of-house, not the food in general. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.0 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, how clean the place looks appears most often — 41% of the corpus, averaging 3.6.

The split is 14 positive to 6 negative across 21 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. Behind those, pacing is raised in 27% of reviews (1.6 average). More reviewers landed on 4 stars than any other score — 7 of 21.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (93/100), with 1 intermediate and 4 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from March 26, 2026. Ranked against Volusia County, it is safer than 62% of the restaurants we score. What the inspector actually wrote up: water source safe and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

I love that I can see the ocean from the pool deck. Beautiful view to just sit out there, or walk down the stairs to the beach. Walkable to restaurants, ice cream shop, 7- eleven. Close to the causeway so easy on and off. Very safe. Needed room key to use elevator and go in and out. Daily parking rate was not outrageous.

Walking into the Inn was surprisingly nice. It is an open plan with modern decor. Very chic and well maintained in the inside. When we went in to check in it was so incredibly hot that I almost didn't check in. I was assured the rooms were not hot but well air conditioned. It still didn't help when you go to have breakfast or sit at the bar and it being hotter inside than outside. They did have fans but....it's Florida and they can only do so much. The staff all over are very friendly and ready to help with whatever you need. The front desk lady even told my young daughter that she had a few things she could borrow for her to have an even better beach stay. One of the managers (who seem to always be there) always had a smile on his face and anticipated our needs as we came down and asked for towels. That was big for me bc we have had terrible experiences at other places. They have a full bar with one of the most amazing bartenders I've met. Sheila has such personality that grabs your attention and keeps you there just to hear her side of things. She's easy to talk to and makes a killer drink. The pool and hot tub were nice and big enough to enjoy without having people crowd around you. This has easy access to the beach as well. Our rooms were clean and spacious. We had everything we needed for our short stay. I wish the air worked better. I mean I like it really cold at night but that's not really an option. The beds were fine for one day but after that I hated them. Ugh I…

The property is beautiful. The front desk female clerk was amazing on Friday, June 26th (night shift). The bed was comfy. We definitely enjoyed walking to the beach at night and then watching the sunrise in the morning. My only complaint is that during breakfast (Sat, June 27th) we were in a rush to pick up our son from a cruise line so hubby decided to grab fruit etc and take it to the car (on plastic paper plates) so that we could still enjoy our breakfast on the road. When he walked back in and asked a dark skinned male (with an African accent) where the forks are? His response was so RUDE, nasty and degrading as if we didn’t belong. No greeting, no good morning - he proceeds to yell “You don’t see the forks over there!?” He was very hostile for no reason and quite frankly it was too early in the morning to be greeting others in that manner. My hubby responds “sir if I saw them I wouldn’t have asked”. Clearly he was having a bad start to his day or assumed we were “taking” breakfast we didn’t pay for even though we were guest. Idk what his problem was but being nasty in a hospitality/customer service driven industry is unacceptable. We would definitely stay here again but Hope we don’t run into this man as he can most definitely spoil a great mood.

First of all the employees at this hotel are friendly, helpful and a joy to deal with. Hotel rooms very roomy and clean. Our AC stopped working had a very hot night out of the 7 we stayed. Manager cut our room rate in half for that one day. Unfortunately they could not repair the older unit and we were asked to move to another room. For our inconvenience the manager stated he was giving us 20,000 Marriott points since we had to pack and move our stuff. Have to say we are very disppointed, we never received the extra points. While we were there the lobby AC was not working. Breakfast later in am can be a little warm. They have a standalone unit in the bar but hard for it to cool entire lobby. The shower drain in room 707 is higher than the rest of the shower pan, so water fills the entire pan when you are showering. Still drains but you stand in 1 to 1.5" of shower water while showering. The pan slopes the wrong way. The hotel has a great location, easy access to the beach. Happy hour was Noon to 5pm every day. Pool and hot tub were great. You need to sign out beach/pool towels which makes sense, so they get them back. We would stay here again. They have a great buffet breakfast, fully stocked consistently. Don't let the exterior of the hotel bother you it does need cosmetic work. The interior of the hotel is very nice.

The worst experience ever since I became a member of Marriott. Where do I even start? Well, we arrived on June 7, 2026, the first thing we asked was for a room upgrade because of our membership status. After going back and forth with the front desk ladies working that day, they didn't upgrade the room. When they assigned the room, which was Room 506, the room had air conditioner problems, the fridge wasn't freezing enough and the toilet wasn't working properly either. My wife reported everything and the maintenance guy came. He fixed the toilet but the air conditioner and the fridge kept having problems. After that, I went to the front desk and Taylor helped us to change from room 506 to Room 706. In this room, the only thing working properly was the toilet, I have to call again because the fridge was having problems too and the air conditioner didn't cool down the room enough. Even though on the website says that the hotel is fully renovated, this hotel needs a new renovation. The central air conditioner wasn't working, the ice machines were broken, and the temperature in the gym was 90 degrees. During one of the nights, I couldn't shower because they turned the water off at 12 am and I didn't know at what time they turned the water back on because I got tired of waiting. Also, I don't understand why I have to pay for parking when I'm staying at the hotel. Is this a new way of ripping off the people that are staying? Vanessa was also very unhelpful and had terrible customer…

The hotel it's self is great. We brought our family here for vacation for the 2nd time. We brought our nephew and his mom, because he had never been to or seen a beach. We checked in at 4 in the morning drove over 10 hrs to get here. There were technically 3 adults but according to hotel standards our 15 year old daughter is considered an adult and the rest were children. We had booked a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed. My family took the room with the 2 queens. My nephew and his mom took the sofa bed. We got up the nxt morning got our food for the day so we could cook. Made pancakes, got burgers for dinner. Later that evening we took the kids to a near by park then dropped the older two off so we could ho get our nephew a football to throw on the beach. Our oldest daughter called us bc she and our son were locked out of the hotel room. They called us and her dad told them to go to the desk. She went we stayed on the phone with her. Some one at the desk asked my daughter if they could help her she told them they were locked out of our room. They got the manager, he said I'm going to need to speak to your parents. They said there were to many people in our room. We came back to the hotel, mind you it was 730pm, my husband went in to speak with them. John the manager, told my husband we would have to leave, that there were to many in out hotel room refused to try to help accomidate our needs. I went to try to see what was going on. I have been a very loyal Bonvoy customer and, despite having many hotel options in the area, I chose Marriott as I always do. Unfortunately, during this 3-night/4-day stay, I had my first negative experience with the brand. Although the suite was very comfortable, I had the unpleasant experience of my son’s car being towed just three hours after we arrived at the hotel. This happened during the daytime. I can understand having such a policy at night and charging guests for parking, but enforcing it during the day seems unreasonable, especially when the hotel was not fully occupied. What disappointed me even more was the complete lack of empathy from the staff when I raised my concern. No one even offered a simple apology. I received the same response from Oscar in Bonvoy Customer Service. My son had driven four hours just to come and see us, making the situation even more frustrating. Overall, the hotel is in need of repairs, fresh paint, and significant improvements. I will not consider staying at this property again, and I will also be reevaluating my loyalty to the Marriott brand. I do not recommend this hotel. There are far too many excellent alternatives in the surrounding area.

Hotel is super clean and modern, breakfast is best buffet I've ever seen at any hotel. Suite Rooms are huge and are a great value. Front desk staff Taylor and Itasu were incredible, super nice, accomdating and went out of their way several times for us. Will be back to stay at this wonderful hotel. Highly Recommend. Five + stars, especially Taylor and Itasu!!

  • May 26, 2026

This was our second time staying here. Both times were a pleasure, and we plan to come again in a few weeks! The place is super clean, everyone is exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Taylor at the front desk. We came and brought elderly, young adults with children, and all had the best time and made beautiful memories that will last a lifetime! Everyone has asked to make this place our new annual family vacation getaway!

The rooms was clean and views were magnificent

  • May 2, 2026

The rooms in our one bedroom suite were very nice bathroom lovely, bedroom nice comfortable beds separate living room with TVs in bedroom and living room so the kids could watched what they wanted and the adults could watch something too nice sleeper sofa for kids to sleep on at night a full kitchen with Full size refrigerator to hold our leftovers microwave over stove and oven cabinets and drawers with tableware, cooking utensils and pots and pans etc to cook with if we chose to cook in. We mostly at takeout for dinner but the hotel provides a great selection of breakfast choices hot and cold plus apples and bananas to take back to room for later snack. The restaurant/bar has a number of choices of food for lunch and dinner including kids meals which we enjoyed while we were on vacation we and the bartender attendant Sheila Allen was so nice and friendly she really is an asset to the hotel. The other staff we engaged with were friendly as well. Overall I give this hotel four and half stars this was the second time we stayed at this hotel we stayed here last year around the same time of year we even stayed an extra day because we like this hotel we will probably stay here again next year because it's so nice here the only thing that would improve this hotel is a paint job on the beach facing exterior.

Love this place. Stay here when I can. Great breakfast, location and value for the money.

  • April 20, 2026

The location is great and it has a great view, but that's about it. Marriott lists this hotel as "Fully Renovated" and I'm not sure why. The rooms are decent, but the exterior is falling apart. Paint is chipping everywhere, there were cracks and a hole on my balcony, fountains at the pool don't work, signs are taped up everywhere, an emergency exit on the pool deck is bolted shut, and the elevator certificate was expired. The breakfast staff front desk agents are extremely nice and helpful, but the management is very poor and don't have basic hospitality skills. I requested a 10am check-in in advance and arrived at 10:45am. The front desk agent told me it was the manager's policy not to allow anyone to check in before noon, even though they had rooms clean and available. I asked to speak to the manager and she called John Ellis. I apologized for pushing for the early check-in, but that I had been up since 3am and just wanted a shower. He cut me off and said (on speakerphone in front of other guests) that I was "being difficult". Ultimately, he agreed to let me check in, but chastised me for it and was very rude during the entire phone call. I spoke to other guests who said he was disrespectful and rude while working at the bar as well. Every interaction I saw him have with guests throughout the weekend were the same. I practically live in Marriott hotels (100+ nights a year) and have never had any interaction like this or seen any manager with so few hospitality skills.…

When I came to visit my best friend from Chicago, she booked a specific hotel room in advance. Unfortunately, when she arrived, the hotel gave the reserved room to another guest. That was unacceptable because it was the room she paid for and confirmed. They tried to blame it on an outdated system, but that doesn’t change the fact that the reservation should have been honored. I’m not happy about how it was handled at all. If I were staying there again, I would honestly be very frustrated. As someone who travels often and stays in resorts frequently, this is not the kind of experience I expect. Buyers beware double check your reservations and confirmations. I usually prefer Airbnb stays, but experiences like this definitely influence future travel decision

I stayed for 1 night. And had a very relaxing time, as i needed. Staff, food, and overall stay was great. Will be back for another well needed relaxing break. Free breakfast was great.

  • April 12, 2026

Very nice on the inside not so nice on the outside, but you know what they don't judge a book by its cover

  • April 12, 2026

Stood at the restaurant unacknowledged, so we ate elsewhere. Shower in master- the handle fell off- looks dingy, couldn't get it working so took shower in 2nd bathroom which flooded the floor because the shower curtain is too short & blows in at you. Fully renovated- I don't think so! Rusty door hinges, looks like someone slapped paint around randomly to try to cover up the filth, showers gross, dirty floors, hair all around Charged extra for a discover daytona package for breakfast and when asked about it at the front she said "yeah I don't know why the website does that" so I asked well if everyone else is getting what I thought I was paying extra for then can I get a refund? I'm still waiting for a manager to call me back 10 days later! So now I have to call corporate. $15/day for parking after being overcharged for a breakfast special that doesn't exist? Unbelievable! Never going back here again.

I've stayed here once before, the staff were great and the room was nice, we had no issue. As listed on their website for check in policy it says "Minimum check in age: 21," and that's it. We arrived to spend the night, the reservation was booked for a 23 year old to check in, the same person who checked in last time we stayed, who at the time was 22. The employee checking us in (Vanessa) was immediately hostile, she said she needed IDs for everyone staying in the room, we were traveling with my two 15 year old siblings, so I provided my ID and the person who was checking us in and we were told we were unable to check in because everyone needed to be 21 or there needed to be a parent there. I mentioned we stayed here 5 months prior with MORE people and it wasn't an issue and was told the past worker must have violated their "policy." After being denied we said we were going to go to the car to figure out a plan and we would come back in, about 10 minutes later I went back in and the manager, John told me he canceled my reservation, I was given no option, they took it upon themselves to cancel it. I then asked to see the policy stating "everyone needs to be 21, or a parent with everyone under," which again, we had a 23 year old and a 20 year old in our group, and was told it was on the website, I then pulled up their website and showed him exactly what it said, and he became upset and started to raise his voice, almost yelling "That's what that means!" I then said we travel…

Beautiful rooms friendly staff would’ve liked to stay closer to downtown but overall satisfied Great location to ride on route one get down to the Harley dealership Daytona really convenient would definitely stay there again thank you

The pull out couch was horrendous. Purely springs with absolutely no cushion. When asked if we could get some extra blankets to pad it, they gave us a single blanket and only one additional pillow. We had 2 full beds, but they were barely willing to provide us with 2 full sets of bedding aside from the sad and dusty excuse for bedding that was tucked away in the closet. Thankfully we weren’t spending much time in the room, but if you’re depending on the pull out couch, find somewhere else because they won’t care. The hot tub was more of a warm tub but it was still nice and very clean! I don’t remember smelling like chlorine, so it might be a salt water pool (not 100% sure on that).
