What diners say — our read

On paper the kitchen passes; in the reviews, a few visitors were not convinced. Reviews mentioning how guests are treated average 3.7 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. The state of the room follows at 20% of reviews, where ratings average 1.0.

5 stars is the modal score, given by 4 of the 5 reviewers who rated. The split is 4 positive to 1 negative across 5 rated reviews. A third strand, wait times, appears in 20% of them at 1.0 stars.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (96/100), with 4 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That inspection was on February 12, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 73% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. Read the numbers above with the sample size in mind: 5 reviews is not many. Among the items recorded were in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and garbage and refuse.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Everything above is computed from the 5 reviews reproduced below.

I absolutely adore Waffle House! It was the most enlightening experience of my life. If you don’t come here and go to High Tide instead, I swear you’re wasting your money on hard waffles. Here, the waffles are soft and well-cooked. The service is amazing, and the staff is incredibly polite.

Slowest, least welcoming WH I've ever been to. Definitely not the WH standard. All the tables were dirty when we arrived. Service slow but also impatient. Lots of staff leaning, but not cleaning or serving.
