Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
There is no middle ground in these 25 reviews. Opinion on the staff is split — those reviews land at 3.5 on average. How long an order takes is the next most common subject, in 28% of reviews (averaging 2.7).
Of the 25 rated reviews, 17 sit at four stars or better and 6 at two or below. A third strand, whether food comes out hot, appears in 20% of them at 3.0 stars. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 14 of 25.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (92/100), with 1 high-priority violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from March 4, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 59% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. What the inspector actually wrote up: handwashing.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Terrible management!!! I had dinner here with my fiance about a month ago. The waitress was great but the food was terrible. I paid anyways. Then the manager said no he will refund us which he suggested, i didnt ask for. 2 weeks later still no refund to my account. I called and spoke to another manager named Ryan who told me he would take care of it. Another 2 weeks later still nothing. Dont say you're going to do something and not do it!

my family trying this place for the first time we came in got seated took forever to get drinks. after we ordered a party came in. our hostess basically told us we were not important that the party took priority. foid took along time coming out and when it did it was cold. left with boxes and food barely touched just to go warm it up in hotel microwave. will not try the brand out again.

Bartender Kris took amazing care of us ! We will definitely be back to see her !

I ordered 2 caramel piezookies for takeout tonight and then when I get home I find that they forgot to include both the caramel and the chocolate chips. It’s very disappointing to eat a CARAMEL piezookie without the main ingredient… CARAMEL. Disappointing service and now I’m stuck having to drive to Walmart to get my own caramel rather than driving 30 minutes round trip to pick up the caramel and chocolate chips they forgot

Good food, good prices, great service quality, and cold beer. What else is there?

It was such a phenomenal time. I enjoyed the food and everything with it. Bella truly made our experience great. Also for food I recommend getting the pizookie trio for sure, it was magical. Oh, and the boneless wings, chefs kiss. 😋 😚

Just ate here today and the food was actually terrible. I ordered the brewhouse sampler appetizer that included wings, mozzarella sticks, spin dip, and sliders…the only thing edible on the plate were the sliders. The motz sticks were cold, the wings looked old and were undercooked, the spinach dip was something out of a nightmare. The food also took about 45 minutes to come out, mind you it wasn’t that busy. No complaints about our server as she was clearly overwhelmed, we watched tables around us return their food, so we decided not to complain to her and just paid the bill. Will absolutely NOT be returning.

Great restaurant! It had been over 10 years since my last visit to BJ’s, mainly because we don’t have any locations in my home state of Tennessee. We arrived yesterday evening around 8PM. Our party of six was seated quickly, and from the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of by Peter. Peter was absolutely outstanding. He explained the menu clearly, answered our questions, and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. His positive attitude made the entire experience even better. The food arrived quickly, and everyone in our group loved their meal. The portion sizes were generous—so much so that we were too full to even try dessert! The garlic roasted vegetables were especially amazing. Before leaving, I asked Peter if he could bring over the manager, and that’s when I met Ryan. He was a true gentleman and was genuinely pleased to hear how well Peter had taken care of us. It's clear that Ryan takes pride in both his team and the customer experience. The excellent food was reason enough to return, but the exceptional service from Peter and Ryan truly made this visit memorable. Unfortunately, we're heading back home today, but if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. I sure hope these two receive some recognition from the higher ups. Thank you both for the warm hospitality and outstanding service. You made us feel right at home!

Peter was an INCREDIBLE server! We were there for graduation and he made sure everyone had a blast. We cannot thank him enough for being so wonderful!

It was nice

Came here for my daughter’s graduation. We originally booked as a party of 10 but ended up being a party of 9. Our waiter Triston was very nice and sociable. We waited a good 30 minutes for food to come out. Unfortunately only half of our table got their food. The other half had to wait another 20 minutes for the food to come out. Triston said, they are busy tonight and food is taking a little longer. I thought the food gets cooked at the same time for one table. Eventually my husbands burger came out and it was overcooked. Sent it back, and then the new burger was overcooked again. This time a manager was supposed to come and talk to us. The third burger came out and guess what, IT WAS OVERCOOKED AGAIN! The manager came out and blamed it on our waiter and not the person who cooked it. We were offered free pazookies and the burger taken off the bill. Triston was very nice and he tried his best. But he seemed overwhelmed. When we got our bill, and automatic gratuity was added to our bills even though we were a party of 9 and not 10. I think it’s safe to say this was a horrible first time experience for us and not sure we are willing to try again.

Waiter was awesome with the refills and food was quicker than usual however, my food came out 7 min after everyone else's. Not his fault but not a five star experience. Music was very hip and prices were acceptable.

Well I'm going start this that yes it was a party of 10... I always pay my bill and leave a cash tip more if the service was good. My whole party was taken cared of properly except me and another person. Note I'm also paying for 4 people on my bill. Never got a refill, never got an opportunity to order a bar drink and the cheese on the cheese and broccoli was off [ the other person just let it go because she was done with the place]. I know I won't be back. It would have been nice to get a refill while eating my food. Oh the one thing I do like was the Calamari that was awesome.

Love this place! Became a regular here. Bri is the best!

So I struggled with this one. To start, I don't love reviewing chains but we did have a good time so here goes. Our server was top tier so that really helped. She was attentive and helpful. The wings were perfectly cooked as was the ribeye. We even tried three of the Pizookies and they were all exactly what you would expect from a cookie skillet. My only real issue was presentation. None of the plates were wiped for serving and the signature vertical scoops atop the Pizookie were all melty and fallen over. The best thing we ate was the Cali Chicken Club. It was a perfect sandwich. Definitely give it a try!

Bella is an amazing server very kind very nice and the Dubai chocolate is amazing me and my girlfriend love it we will definitely be back a lot this summer! :)

I've enjoyed this place in the past. On my last visit the service was slow due to two servers calling out for the day. The server we had was very good, but overwhelmed being the only server there. Plus the kitchen staff was short staffed also, the manager was helping to prepare the food. Because of this, two of the plates at our table was returned to the kitchen because of poor quality (we were a party of 7). My meal was okay, but nothing to reorder again. I doubt we'll come back to this place again.

Peter at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse was actually the best 😂 Super nice, funny, and stayed on top of everything the whole time. Food was good but the service made it even better. Definitely ask for Peter if you come here!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
