Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
No strong feelings in these 22 reviews — the ratings sit low and steady. Reviews that raise the staff average just 2.4 stars — this is where the complaints concentrate. After that, how clean the place looks appears most often — 27% of the corpus, averaging 3.0.
More reviewers landed on 1 star than any other score — 7 of 22. What nobody raises here is serving size — it goes unmentioned across all 22 reviews. 10 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 8 are two or lower.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (77/100) with 1 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 9 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That result dates from April 7, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 23% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: cross-contamination and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

the only reason I came is for pizza and that have stopped serving it

Very friendly staff. The girl at the ticket counter, the kid at the concession, and the guy at the entrance to the theaters were all smiling and friendly. Nice place to enjoy a film.
-
Nice theatre.
-
Clean theater. People talk along during movies though
-
Good food and snack options with tray tables that sit in your chair’s cup holder, bar area, comfy recliners, overall great experience
-
Do not go to this place! Dirty dirty dirty! 20$ per ticket? 🎫 nope!
-
No paper towels in the restrooms. If you buy a ticket online, you still have to get a physical ticket at a booth inside. Nice seats in the IMAX theater and decent prices.

Clean

Kind of a ghost town vibe tbh and the employees seem less than enthusiastic honestly I’ve been there a few times the last year and have never seen one of them smile or even have a slight upbeat tone in their voice

Everything here if out of date, including the service!

Ok so annoyed thought it was a true dine in theater its not. You have to order from bar/resturant and bring it yourself. What kind of dine in theater is this? I might be a little spoiled from dine in movie theaters. Oh well will spend my money on food somewhere else.

I am so disappointed with decline of this theater. Bathrooms were dirty, floor was sticky, chairs are peeling, my chair was broken. We were there for the first showings on a Tuesday. No excuse for things not being clean. This has been my go to theater for years-not any more.

Great location! The line was long and unnecessary when you’ve purchased tickets on advance.

The movie was great and sound was awesome. But for some reason you allowed a woman with three stinking and rambuncious dogs and sit right next to us. Fortunately we were able to move down. But why in the word would you let someone do that. They were not service dogs, just pets.

Sir???

Good, classic 90's movie theatre. Clean, good picture and sound. Way better than Cinepolis Hamlin.
-
Good theater, nice chairs and sound.
-
Just a reallynice theater. Has a restaurant and is located in a nice area.
-
Nasty theater, popcorn everywhere the movie, was late starting. Then you only can get certain cup when you want to buy things.

I hate to leave this on the local theaters page, but it seems like expecting any sort of response via customer service on the app is an effort in futility. I reached out 10 days ago as my Birthday ticket never populated in the app. I initially received a couple of responses telling me to do a couple of things I had already done, and then suddenly just stopped getting any responses. I have since sent 3 more “Contact Us” messages with 0 response. All I’m trying to do is claim the ticket that according to their Rewards program is rightfully mine.

My husband & I attended this theatre to see Michael on a Tuesday because they have a sign stating $8…..I was informed the price was $12 because it was in an IMAX feature…I asked to speak with a manager to understand the confusing advertising….I was introduced to Tim Keefner who is the General Manager…. His lack of customer service skills & attitude were unacceptable….I asked for a one time accommodation & he refused…it’s not the additional $8 that upset me, rather his unempathetic persona… I have no idea how he got this role but it’s truly a flawed decision by upper management.. I have been in customer service for over 40 years & have ALWAYS went above & beyond to give a customer A+ service….Tim Keefner you are NOT an asset to CMX Daytona….I suggest you read some leadership/customer service material so future customers can have an enjoyable experience going to the movies…not to mention theaters are empty with current technology…. with this horrible experience it’s no wonder that theaters will soon be extinct like blockbuster!

Inside theatre was clean but lobby before you went in was a mess. Only had 1 cashier and they were slow so long line to get popcorn and drinks. Normally it is not bad there I guess maybe it was mother's day and not enough employees to cover for the amount of people.
