Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Whatever the overall score says, the last stretch of reviews is the weaker one. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.3 stars.
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 14 of 18. 14 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower. What nobody raises here is serving size — it goes unmentioned across all 18 reviews.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. That result dates from March 18, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: handwash sinks accessible and garbage and refuse.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Great atmosphere and a nice setting, but the food was really tough and not good at all. I wanted to love it, but the meal was disappointing overall.
-
Food is over priced in my opinion, everything just tastes subpar. Service was basically non existent. They forgot my salad so I didn’t get it until we were about ready to go. Had to flag our server down everytime. Steak and shrimp was good but crab bites $16 for 2 gross bites? No thanks.

Jessie and Britt are the best. $1,000,000 view and atmosphere. The best live music, too.
-
Great location and Britt and Jess are the best.
-
Love Jess and Brit!
-
Frozen seafood tourist trap. Every beach town has a place like this.
-
The Shrimp were so fresh and everyone was very helpful and nice. We also enjoyed sitting out back on the deck next to the ocean. If your in the area you don’t want to miss out on Crabbys!
-
Nice beach side experience.
-
Cudos to Jess Britt and all the outdoor staff. A friend and I come in every Friday for a beer after our round of golf. If Jess sees us coming she has the beer poured and ready. She and everyone are pleasant and personable. Great atmosphere, great service.

Great atmosphere due to being on beach of course! Hostess situation was frustrating couldn't leave within 10ft with long wait. Food was mehhh but typical for beach tourist trap. Server was running her tail off but still great!

Our waitress Hailey was fabulous.

First time here and we just grabbed some appetizers and drinks. Service was good for it being so busy. We ordered the gator bites with crab dip. Both were on point and definitely recommend for you to try on ur visit here

Miley T was a great server. Very friendly and attentive even in the midst of the busyness. Very honest about restaurant offerings and her recommendations were spot on. Appreciate her very much. Bobby and Debbie, Lake Oconee,Georgia.

This was my first visit to Crabby’s and my first time having lobster! I sat at the bar and ordered the coconut lobster bites and a piña colada to match. Both were excellent! The coconut breading on the lobster was very crispy and not at all greasy. The lobster itself was juicy and delicious and the piña colada sauce was the perfect accompaniment. I wish there had been more of it! Their tartar and cocktail sauces were also tasty. Prices are predictably high considering location, bar service, and seafood offerings. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. Would love to come back!

We have several meal here while on our vacation. The food is awesome, The wait staff were so friendly. We liked being able to look at the water while we enjoyed our meal. They have the best pina colada. We go to crabbys every time we go to Daytona Beach.

Party of 16 on Father's Day, Hailey T was an attentive, upbeat, and had a lot of great suggestions. My husband and I shared the Key West Grill, the kids had gator bites, chicken, and fries. The best meal we've had in a long time! Highly recommend!
