Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The recurring subject in this corpus is front-of-house, not the food in general. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.7 stars. Freshness is the next most common subject, in 23% of reviews (averaging 4.2).
A third strand, pacing, appears in 23% of them at 5.0 stars. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 22. 18 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (100/100) with no violations cited. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from March 30, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. That puts it ahead of 100% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. Nothing was written up at that inspection at all.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Quick service, great experience. Food could be better specially steak seasoning. Restaurant is right on the main road, easy access, plenty of parking. Overall was great!
-
I think it’s one of few locally owned breakfast restaurants on the island. Great food and very friendly staff. Treated everyone like family. This place is well worth the visit.

Pretty good pancakes. The hot chocolate? Could've been better.

Thought we wanted Waffle House while in Daytona, since we don't have any nearby our house. Shocked to see the All-Star breakfast has gotten to $16 without the hashbrown fixings! This place was on my list for breakfast and glad we decided to eat here. Place was packed, but didn't have to wait for a table on a Sunday morning. Coffee started the meal and I went with the sausage and egg biscuit with hashbrowns. I would have asked for crispy hashbrowns, but the meal was solid. Instead of a waffle, I got the apple fritters and this was the complete breakfast I needed!

What is it with restaurants not being able to make your onions well done? Raw onions hurt me, I like my onions in my omelets and other Foods well done caramelized or even burnt. Have been to Cracked Egg many of times where they have done my onions the way I like them. This time waitress brings my plate and says that's the best they can do. Onions weren't even close to being well done. I can't be the only one who visits the restaurant that likes well done onions, why don't they keep onions on the back of the grill for those who like it that way? I like to pay for food the way I ordered it not the way they like to do it. Lazy?

Food and coffee was so watered down and bland. If you're not in the seasoning this would be the place to go. They didn't have black pepper in gravy !? I will give them credit on the pancake it was good .

Love this restaurant!!!! Within one minute of sitting down, I had a great server. I love to sit near where the cooks are. They are so cool so amazing. I had my fried egg sandwich literally within three minutes of ordering it and it was perfection. The restaurant is clean. The service is amazing. The food is amazing. I notice everything and this restaurant does everything perfect! I love it so much more than the other restaurant that begins with peach in the name. I love that the crew they work so hard and the men in the kitchen they know what they’re doing and they have fun and get along so well! What a phenomenal team! It’s so good to hear laughter and see people enjoying working and always doing their best! You don’t find this in too many places! We have a beach condo. We only get over here once a week and I always go to the cracked egg restaurant!!!! 😊

Very nice diner. Stopped here for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly. We both got the Cali chicken sandwich and upgraded the chips to onion rings and sweet potato fries.
