What diners say — our read

The 4.2-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.3 stars. How clean the place looks is the next most common subject, in 27% of reviews (averaging 4.3).

More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 21. Of the 21 rated reviews, 17 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below.

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (97/100), 1 intermediate violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from May 18, 2026. That puts it ahead of 79% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. What the inspector actually wrote up: food manager certification.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Was a great time that’s to Paula for all the hard work and for helping with all the accommodations for everyone. For the room can get better with some cleaning. Everything else is perfect place to be . I will definitely be back . Bless day .

This hotel was very disappointing. It has a barely deserved four-star rating. The rooms are small (medium at best), they still have carpet and tub/shower combos. Condensation inside the rooms is a significant problem. Room amenities are more in line with a basic three-star hotel. There is no self-service laundry, only weekday laundry service—which makes little sense considering the pool is open everyday. This place is better for travelers who prioritize location over modern amenities. My ratings (1-5): Customer Service: 4 Cleanliness: 3.5 Maintenance: 3.5 Atmosphere: 3.5 Location: 5 Parking: 2

Cockroaches on the balcony. Not welcoming reception clerk. Strong air freshener scent in the room! I had a headache because of it. Not a 4 star hotel.

Honest review: Checking in wasn’t overly efficient initially. But I was sent to a different person named Tator. She on the other hand was a real rock star. Definition of professionalism and efficiency. The rooms we got were good. Beds comfy, pillows are so so, room was clean. Not sure if the restaurant is part of the hotel, but they will definitely treat you like they are never going to see you again. Aka not well. Nor does the manager care. One last thing that eats me up is having to pay for parking. Just add it into the room’s rate, not surprise them with it when you check in! If you like honest reviews please hit that like and follow button. Have a great day!!!

Room was spacious and had a balcony facing the ocean. Staff was easy to find, friendly and eager to help. Hotel is beachfront, right on the strip with restaurants and shops in walking distance. Absolutely recommended.

Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach delivered a solid stay and generally lived up to expectations. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with live music, DJs, and easy beach access giving the property a true vacation vibe. Front desk, room service and store staff were exceptionally friendly and check-in was a breeze. My king suite was spacious and well-appointed, with nice touches like robes, a soaking tub, and a long balcony. The pool and hot tubs were excellent—open late and even featuring music piped underwater—and food and drink prices were surprisingly reasonable (for a resort). Their Constant Grind coffee shop was a couple bucks less than Starbucks and had decent quality offerings. That said, the hotel has its quirks. Parking was an absolute mess, with weekend valet charges climbing above $40 per night! ($25 to self park across the street). Some service was inconsistent, the pool bar remained closed, and access to Sessions Bar was oddly blocked by signage then locked during my stay. If you’re seeking a quiet beach escape, this isn’t the place, as the music and activity didn’t really wind down until close to midnight. Overall, I had a good experience and felt the hotel offered good value in the $100–250 per night range. While nothing about the stay truly wowed me, Hard Rock Daytona is a nice, energetic hotel that I’d happily recommend—though I’m not sure it’d be my automatic choice for future Daytona visits.

First time staying here for a weekend getaway! You’re welcomed into the lobby with their signature scent, which is a great first impression. The front desk, coffee shop barista, and folks working in Sessions were extremely kind and friendly. Rooms were clean and very nice, having a balcony is a must! Overall great experience

I highly recommend this property. The location was perfect and right on the beach. Parking is valet or self which is across the street. The property has everything for a perfect stay. The entertainment, food/drink, pool and overall vibe of the property was awesome. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed.

Fabulous room, excellent service. Thanks to Jerry at reception for a super quick check in, and he went the extra mile to make our anniversary visit special, thanks so much Jerry! Highly recommend staying here, we'll be back again thanks to his brilliant five star welcome and service.

Stayed two days for a conference. The staff was amazing, the food at the conference was fantastic. The location of the hotel, the views, the gym, the pool, it was all great. I really liked the total vibe of this place, the decorations, the music playing in the lobby and elevators, the entire theme of this hotel was well thought out and made for a rockin stay.

The rooms were decent, but the experience with the money spent brought this down to a 2 star. I paid $1200 for 3 nights in an upgraded courtyard room and had no wifi in my hotel room the entire stay. I informed the front desk and they had me bring EACH of my electronics as they had a different wifi but wouldnt give me the password. Whatever. I complied. It didnt help. I complained. They said they would look into it and just never would get back to me...so I did without the entire trip (...with ATT at 1 bar). The rest of the hotel was OK. Coffee bar, diner, pool were not bad. Its on the ocean. This is a 3 star hotel if the wifi were working.

Extremely rude front desk staff. I booked rooms for employees and had to go through the process of providing credit card authorization forms for their stays, as I expected I would need to. I handled these forms a month before their stay. (They had a lot of issues getting my email correct, but we finally arranged it to come to my personal email and completed the forms on May 4th.) I had the employees arrive, and they were told they needed to put their cards on file because credit card authorizations were not on file. I called to address this issue and was directed to the front desk. The lady was extremely rude, interrupting me as I was trying to explain I had multiple employees whose accounts all needed to be accounted for and requesting her to check them all in case the form was associated with one of their accounts instead of all of them. She continued to tell me I had not done it and to search through their emails to try to find it. She asked me to fill out the form and call her back when I completed it to confirm they received it this time. I filled out the form and called back, and I also found my previous confirmation of the form submission from a month earlier. As I was directed to the front desk, she picked up the phone and complained to another employee about me, saying, "She was adamant about sending it, but we don't have it." I then explained I had resubmitted the form and was calling back as she requested to confirm they got it. She sounded extremely irritated and…

Upon entering i was greeted by valet staff. (They are not directly connected to the hotel so i guess they dont have to be friendly). Clearly saw handicapped sign, however had me park far away just to have me re ente, go aroubd circle again to take luggage upstairs) I dont think he wanted to help us to be honest. Besides that first impression, I was happily greeted by front desk staff and manager. Our room was perfectly located right on oceanfront. Bathroom and floors were Impeccable. We asked for a mini microwave and was delivered right away to the room. Housekeeping was also kind and provided me exchange of towels since we asked for no service. I experience breakfast and lunch which both went on beautifully. Excellent service from staff. Dinner time was a little weird, our server assumed we only wanted one salad, but we were a party of 3. We had to call him several times for refills of refreshments and drinks. We couldn't eat together because my salad came much later and not as full with all ingredients as should be. Still beautiful property. Very well kept. Music was loud even far away, or with closed windows. I think they have live concerts on Fridays and Saturdays until 11pm. Having the tv on wont help, you just have to be part of the party or just hold on pass midnight. Property is about 10 minute walk away from main downtown/touristic area.

This hotel is pretty cool. We stayed for a few days for a work conference for my husband. We had one of the Rockstar status rooms and it was perfect because it was so close to the pool and the beach. I would wake up and go look at the sun with my tea. The rooms had a cool vibes and were spacious. I really like the cool lights next to the bed. It had a table in the side room which was great for me to eat my meals. They have Nice free amenities like you can borrow a yoga mat and also a record player which was a fun extra thing to do. You could also borrow a guitar and amp but I didn't do that since I don't play lol. The pool area is really nice, there's two pools plus a hot tub. I personally liked the smaller pool in the shape of the guitar because it was less people and had some water features you could play around in. And of course the beach being right there is great. We like walking around the hotel and looking at all the souvenirs. Make sure you go visit each floor because they had a souvenir by the elevator entrance. The restaurant was pretty nice too. I'm on a very limited diet because of health reasons and they were able to custom make me some grilled shrimp and grilled asparagus. I didn't have housekeeping clean up the room while we were staying, but I did call them twice to request extra towels and waters and they did bring them for me promptly. Overall it was a really nice day and the hotel had a cool vibe and I love hanging out by the pool and the beach. The night…

Had a great time at Hard Rock Daytona. The food is great and the accommodations were great. The staff were friendly and loved our little doggie. We had great service and our server last night, Jeff, did an excellent job. They had concerts there on Friday and Saturday night which were great if you liked that style of music. We were in the courtyard and it was super loud. Friday’s music was tough for me but Saturday’s was better. They play until 11 pm.
