Best cheese grits and home fries (with jalapenos)

Gwen was our waitress she was excellent and the food was too. We had breakfast and man there was a lot of food, highly recommend this place.

We always visit Metro Diner when we are in Daytona as they usually have a good breakfast selection. I ordered a veggie omelet with a side of grits and crispy bacon. My daughter actually got the crispy bacon. I thought maybe they got them mixed up so instead of asking for my daughter to give me hers I just asked the waitress if she could get me crispy bacon. They brought out burnt bacon. As you can see I did attempt to eat it because the waitress went to the trouble of bringing me more but it was not edible. The egg part of my omelet was cooked perfectly but the veggies were undercooked in a nasty rancid tasting oil that overpowered the flavor of the cheese. The grits were the best part of my breakfast. I tried to eat the first batch of bacon but it was too soggy from grease and cold at that point. I know for some people they would say the bacon I got was fine but it is all about the texture and I can’t eat soggy bacon. I am really disappointed that even the waitress would not point out to the kitchen that the bacon was burnt. My daughter got the basic breakfast with eggs, potato’s, pancakes, bacon and toast. Her pancakes were like heavy cardboard cakes. The guys didn’t elaborate on their breakfast but I assume they would have eaten it regardless as they were hungry. I don’t think I will be going back to Metro anytime in the future as I have decided they are overrated. I will probably try something new next time we are in town instead of the regular Metro stop. Friendly people and delicious food. Serving sizes were big at a fair price.

I had the chicken Benedict. Chicken was very tender and juicy, the eggs poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was smooth. The nice lady gave me options like what style of hash browns and did I want them well done? Every one should ask you that, nothing worse than bland, colorless hash browns. I mean they are called browns not translucents. My wife enjoyed her traditional breakfast as well and the price is better than First Watch.

Very popular & crowded, which meant servers were stretched to the max. Our server was great & friendly. Food was excellent. We were 6 h had avocado toast with an egg, croissant French toast, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, protein plate, coffee special - a coconut blend & OJ. All was excellent. Over easy eggs were perfect & high compliments for biscuits & gravy & coffee.

No wait on a Saturday! The banana pudding waffle was on point! The corned beef was a little too busy per my husband but otherwise always a great choice!

We had Shelbe as a waitress and she was fantastic, nice , friendly, had a smile the whole time we was there. Helped us with food choices. The teriyaki salmon plate that I had and shrimp and grits. My mother had both of them were fabulous.

The food is great not expensive, with nice portions. Service is wonderful staff are friendly and helpful our server Gwen was not only friendly and outgoing but very attentive. Want great food at a reasonable price this is the place to go!

In town for welcome to Rockville. Stopped by the diner for brunch and it was delicious. I got the breakfast plate but was able to customize it to fit my exact preferences, which included 2 eggs, sausage patties, a side of fruit and a biscuit and gravy instead of bread with a small up charge. Definitely would recommend!

Online ordering wasn't working. Told me items only available 12am-3pm. Went into location and was met by the amazing Jamie. Very personable! Great customer service. Happily took my order and seemed to actually care. Rare to find someone in hospitality that is thoughtful and friendly
