Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The recurring subject in this corpus is the staff, not the food in general. Where front-of-house comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.5, so it reads as a strength.
Of the 18 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (16 of 18). Behind those, value for money is raised in 17% of reviews (5.0 average).
The kitchen graded a C (77/100) on 1 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 6 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. The visit behind that grade was April 2, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 23% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. For specifics, the last inspection cited in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and clean clothes.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Stumbled across this diner while on vacation. Wow! Great service, food and value. Burgers, chicken, open face roast beef and a seafood platter my son devoured. Everything was so good I forgot to take a photo

Fantastic food really over the top service and we had a girl named Brandy and she was fantastic! Back again, this time it was Leslie at the Nova location, friendly and perfect service. I come for the thick sausage links, everything is always great!

The service was pushy. The food was dry, old and over cooked. Never again. They allow dogs in the eating area. So pit bull owners here is your restaurant to take you dogs to eat with you. Old people will feed there leftovers to from there tables. Nasty nasty nasty place.

I have been coming here for years with my family and coworkers, first to the mainland location and then to this beachside location. The service has always been great and the food good. However my granddaughter was sick and wanted shrimp for dinner one night and I always try to support local so I looked up the menu and ordered her the kids shrimp dinner along with two adult entrees. I was told I couldn’t do a kids menu for takeout. This blew my mind. They refused to sell me a kids meal for carry out and so I was forced to purchase an adult meal for a 7 year old. That is the last time I’ve been here and when I told my coworkers what happened they have decided to not go back as well.
