What diners say — our read

This is the pattern the site exists to surface: strong reviews, weak inspection. Front-of-house tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.7 stars.

The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (16 of 20). Of the 20 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 2 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on how much food arrives at all.

None of that is visible in a star rating: the most recent DBPR inspection graded this kitchen a D (68/100), citing 2 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 7 basic violations. Diner sentiment and inspection result are measuring different things here, and only one of them is checked by the state. The visit behind that grade was January 20, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. Ranked against Volusia County, it is safer than 11% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited potentially hazardous foods properly thawed and cross-contamination.

What to do with that is a judgement call — the reviews describe the experience, the grade describes the conditions behind it. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

    It's ok

We’ve been driving past this restaurant for quite a while and we decided to stop in for Breakfast. It was quite disappointing, they did not have honey for tea, seeing the freshly made baklava on the counter, you’ve gotta have honey. and what breakfast place Doesn’t have whole wheat bread ? While the homemade bread was good, it was just very plain and not very good for toast. And it wasn’t much of an extensive menu it seemed quite limited.Eggs were super runny and we just didn’t enjoy the experience so we won’t be back.

The staff is nice enough. Chicken orzo soup was well seasoned but that was about the only thing. $82 for two adults and a child and that didn't include the tip.

Stopped in early for breakfast after watching the sunrise on the beach. The food was really good, as was the sweet tea. The waitress was really nice, talkative, and informative. The dessert section looked amazing, and I hope to go back to try it. A year later... The food is still amazing. The bread is freshly baked every day and you can even buy a loaf to take home. Sweet tea was perfectly sweet. The waitress was attentive and informative as always.

    Good diner food and atmosphere

Okay- wow a great restaurant- came for breakfast and can’t wait to come back for their famous Italian lasagna. Bread for toast was house made. The breakfast special was so big we split it. House made muffins, cinnamon rolls all cooling on the counter. Christina made us feel welcome and service was 10/10!

Been here several times since moving to Florida a couple years ago. It's become one of my favorite spots! From beautiful omelets to biscuits and gravy to homemade soups to enormous meals! Food is always good and plentiful. The service is excellent and helpful!!!

This was the warmest and most inviting place we've been to in a long time. All of the waitresses were so nice and gave great recommendations. We came back 2 days in a row! Christos made my husband a chopped cheese (not on the menu) he came from the back and spoke to us like we were family. I will definitely be back. The bread was a show stopper for me as well as the burger. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ! 10 STARS!
