Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Sorted by date, these 18 reviews trend upward. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.8, so it reads as a strength. How food arrives is the next most common subject, in 22% of reviews (averaging 3.3).
Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 11 of the 18 reviewers who rated. 14 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (96/100) with 1 intermediate and 1 basic violations. That inspection was on January 27, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 73% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were nonfood-contact surfaces clean and food manager certification.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Love the food here! The honey mustard brussel sprouts are my absolute favorite! I could eat them every day 🤤 I wish they were offered year round 🫶🏻🙏🏻 I also love the burgers and buffalo chicken sandwich. My favorite sandwich spot for sure!

I love this local spot in Deland for a simple yet tasty meal. You can get a variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads and bowls. For drinks there is beer, wine, non alcoholic beverages and coffee. There is also a cute homemade dessert menu. What I love most is how vegan-friendly it is! There is a delicious tempeh lettuce tomato sandwich on sourdough, and a homemade bean patty burger! Both are so good. Love that the veggie burger is homemade- hearty and tasty. Vegan cheese and aioli being available is a hugeee plus. You can also add the proteins to any other salad or substitute in another dish if you’d like. Yay! Service was good- our waiter was super friendly and sweet. Initially didn’t get seated right away. There is a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely return!!

I didn't like the fact that they told me to order on line because the waiting list wS 50 minutes and I did while I was waiting it got empty so I ask if I can it inside instead of outside si ce it was very hot and they told me NO because it was pick up. Also the chicken sandwich was nasty and sagy.

I'm in town for work and this place was on a list of the 20 best restaurants in Deland. The reviews were awesome so I placed a pickup order. The ALLICIN WONDERLAND was cooked to medium rare perfection and the sweet potato fries were seasoned just right 🤌🏼. 10/10 highly recommend.

A Crooked Stem Flowers & Gifts has had the pleasure of working alongside Bake Chop Catering at several events, and they consistently deliver an exceptional experience. The food is always fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Their team is professional, organized, and dedicated to making every wedding, corporate event, and special occasion a success. A special thank you to Taylor, who is always a pleasure to work with. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to outstanding customer service help ensure that every event runs smoothly from start to finish. As a wedding and event vendor, we appreciate partnering with a catering company that shares the same commitment to quality and client satisfaction. We highly recommend Bake Chop Catering to anyone looking for wedding catering, event catering, corporate catering, or private event catering in DeLand, Volusia County, and throughout Central Florida.

Group of 4, 3 of us had burgers. All were quite tasty. Chicken Terryaki was way over salted. Alley, our server, was amazing. Beautiful smile. Having a hard time w/ vendors adding an annoying service charge for use of a credit card. Just make an adjustment to your pricing. Nickel and diming patrons is not a good business model. Keep supporting the local beef providers who in turn provide a more healthy option.

Cute local place, very good service. Had the BLT and classic cheeseburger, no complaints about either. I liked the lemony dressing on the BLT. The mac and cheese was too liquid-y for me, so only order it if you like it extra gooey. Would come back to try the dessert menu, it looked very good.

Food was pretty good portions size could be a little bigger on the sandwich/burgers.

This place definitely does quality food. They use local farm produce and are always seasonal. I used to go here quite frequently when I worked in DeLand several years ago. I do wish they would rotate their menu a bit, though. It was nearly identical to the menu from 5 years ago, give or take a few extra vegan menus and a special. For a place that tends to be innovative in the kitchen, I was hoping for a bit more variety. Still delicious and would highly recommend if you’ve not been!

All boxes checked...fresh, flavorful, food...a super friendly staff... fun but relaxing atmosphere...definitely one of the best spots in DeLand!

Food was awesome here. Highly recommend it!

I’m so sad. I use to love this place but today I got take out. 37 dollars for a cheeseburger with a side of fries and what I thought was going to be a nice sized slice of key lime blueberry pie. Shrink-flation I guess but this tiny pie was not worth the price. Overall the food is usually good but as prices continue to go up it’s just not the best option anymore. This slice should have been double this size for the price!

Highly pretentious establishment that likes to nickel and dime. Burger is dry, under seasoned and overcooked! Bun is decent. You literally get like 9 fries. Way too expensive for the quality. Seems like the bowls could be better? Either way I won’t be back.

One star only because 0 stars was not an option. Before we could even get seated we were told by the young lady at the window that they were out of chicken and beef. They had burgers and fish but no sides. And sitting inside was unavailable. It was 85° out ! We laughed and left.
