Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The inspection record is the stronger half of this page. Opinion on service is split — those reviews land at 3.6 on average. After that, pacing appears most often — 58% of the corpus, averaging 2.4.
If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (6 reviews). A third strand, freshness, appears in 25% of them at 3.0 stars. Newer reviews score better than older ones (3.5 recent against 3.0 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (99/100), with 1 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. DBPR last walked in on June 3, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 91% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade.
If how much food arrives is what you care about, the reviews are the better guide here; if it is the kitchen, the grade is. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Fenomenal customer service culture the best on fast food restaurants, great job team!
-
Took over 25 minutes just to get up to the window to add on top of that order a large fry and I get half of it filled with fries and half of it filled with my sauce. Didn’t know you guys were cutting back on french fries like that.

I mean, Chick-fil-A, what more can I say?

Possibly the slowest drive thru in the south. Unfortunately made my mobile order online at 750pm 0.7 miles away. Got my food at 8:23pm after joining a drive thru line that literally blocked itself in because it was moving so slow. Most chic fil a's can handle a dinner service, but this location can not. At least not on a Tuesday night. The building looks like an old burger king and had a creepy poorly painted cow in the line. Of course my fries were barely warm by the time I got them. Do yourself a favor and just skip this location if you are hungry.

Today I ordered a sweet tea to go. I literally waited in my car for 30 mins and it never came out. The new owners and the employees are trash. This is not the first time I’ve sat in my car for a long time and they won’t bring me my food. I went inside an my drink was sitting there on the counter. Employees just standing around. Last week when I went inside my food was sitting on counter. Employees just standing around. Do not order curbside. They don’t know what it means.

Their food is too good. There's always a weight, but it's never long. They have a lot of staff and they're very thorough. They never missed anything in my orders and are always super friendly and super helpful love chick fil A

I stopped at this location for a late lunch. It was my first time here. I was amazed by the service, the crue(Chuck)kept cleaning everything around me. What a wonderfulemployee. . My burger was delicious.i had flowers on my table. As I was enjoying my late lunch, I realized that all tables had flowers on it. Not only mine. I highly recommend this place. Go and have a peaceful healthy meal and thank me later

2026 update: Can someone please take responsibility for what has happened to our beloved Chick-fil-A? Whatever the new management is doing, it’s not working. Please give Edgewater back the amazing Chick-fil-A we used to have. It now takes around 30 minutes or more to get food through the drive-thru, which is ridiculous for a restaurant known for fast service. We waited 34 minutes, and while dozens of cars were backed up in line, employees were standing around laughing and chatting. What’s even more disappointing is the decline in food quality. My fries were undercooked, soggy, and had almost no flavor. My sandwich was just as bad. The chicken filet was unbelievably thin—so thin that the lettuce was literally thicker than the chicken itself. You can clearly see it in the photos. As a local, it’s sad to watch one of my favorite restaurants go downhill like this. Looking through the recent reviews, it’s obvious that many other customers are experiencing the same issues. Management needs to pay attention and make some serious changes. This location used to be a 5-star Chick-fil-A. Please bring back the quality, service, and standards that made people love this place. 2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best chick fila location EVER! Food is fresh, warm and the service is incredible. The sweetest employees. DOMINIQUE is the manager and she is so helpful, caring and such a hard worker.

We were traveling through Florida today and stopped at the Edgewater location. After reading some of recent reviews, we were a little hesitant, but we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service of the restaurant! Yes, it took about 10 minutes to get our order, but it was definitely worth the wait. Everything was hot and delicious! Great location!
