What diners say — our read

78% of reviews here touch on how guests are treated, more than any other theme. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 5.0, so it reads as a strength.

Of the 27 rated reviews, 26 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 25 of the 27 reviewers who rated.

On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (75/100) with 2 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 6 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That inspection was on May 29, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against Indian River County, it is safer than 10% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination and handwashing.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Kari was a wonderful server. Key lime pie rivals any I’ve ever tasted.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Waitress, Nanci, was the best. Thursday night was a bluegrass jam with Penny Creek. We will be back!

My friends and I went to Marsh Landings today for our friend Annette's birthday. We were lucky enough to have Kari as our waitress. She was simply fantastic! And as always the food was wonderful. Thank you so much, we had a great time.

Kari was amazing! On top of everything and even sang Happy Birthday for us.

Leigh, our server, did a great job. I’m vegetarian—vegetarians and vegans should be aware there’s a lot of taxidermy here—and Leigh helped me find some choices I liked. I had the fried green tomato sandwich, hold the bacon, and coleslaw. Good portions and delicious.

I usually don't get very excited about restaurants. But this place, WOW. My wife and I have eaten here a couple times. Excellent both times. I brought my 2 boys here Saturday after the gym. Nanci (with an "i") was our waitress. Kind, warm and always there with coffee or water. She suggested the chicken biscuit breakfast. All 3 of us ordered it. It was huge. And hands down the best chicken biscuit sandwich I have ever eaten in my 63 years. From the homemade biscuit to the fried chicken and gravy. Topped with an egg. Holy Crap. I'm sitting at work and feel like heading there for lunch. Don't take my word for it. You are greeted like an old friend and treated like a king.

Marsh Landing is one of those special places that keeps us coming back. The food is always great, the atmosphere is full of historic charm, and the entire experience feels warm and welcoming. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is our server, Lois (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly!). She serves every table with a gracious, attentive, and genuinely passionate attitude. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail make every visit memorable. In fact, she is one of the main reasons we continue to return. Thank you, Lois, for consistently making us feel valued and cared for. You are a true asset to Marsh Landing!

We have recently relocated from North Carolina to the Treasure Coast looking for good southern-style home cooking. Marsh Landing exceeded our expectations. The bbq pork tastes as good as any NC bbq. The corn bread has the texture of delicious homemade corn pudding. The meat loaf tastes like mom’s home cooking. Our server Jacki was very attentive, answered all our questions, and made some good recommendations. Don’t miss out on this gem restaurant.

We love Marsh Landing. The atmosphere is such a cool ode to Florida history. Great tea, great home style southern cooking and great people. Leigh was our server and as sweet as the applesauce and the tea!

Driving through town and hadn’t been to the restaurant in a few years. Awesome food! Awesome service! I’ve raved about this place for years and finally got my wife here and she loved it!!!

Our family has been going to Marsh Landing for many years and it has always been a great experience. If you get there for breakfast, the french toast sandwich is a personal favorite, but you cannot go wrong with the omelettes either. Stopping in for lunch or dinner? Try the southern burger, the club, the meatloaf and when you can get it the chicken and dumplings- ALL AMAZING! ,You will not leave hungry. I recommend the sweet potato fries, try the with a side of their remoulade sauce. SO GOOD! The service is always wonderful. On days that Lois is there, she always has a smile on her face - and has our drinks memorized! Beyond the food, and great service the fabulous old Fellsmere history that fills the place is beyond compare. It is worth any drive you take to try it out.

Leigh was our waitress, and she was fantastic! She took such good care of us and volunteered to ask the chef for a special request. The chef and Leigh took great care of us. The food was so good! Their pies are delicious!
