What diners say — our read

The inspection says one thing about this kitchen, and a minority of reviewers say another. Opinion on service is split — those reviews land at 3.5 on average. After that, whether food comes out hot appears most often — 25% of the corpus, averaging 2.2.

If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (10 reviews). A third strand, how long an order takes, appears in 25% of them at 1.8 stars. Older reviews score better than newer ones (2.3 recent against 4.7 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (97/100), 3 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. DBPR last walked in on February 25, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. Ranked against St. Lucie County, it is safer than 72% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include plumbing installed & maintained and garbage and refuse.

Worth separating: the complaints above cluster on speed of service, not on the kitchen, which inspected well. Everything above is computed from the 20 reviews reproduced below.

Our food was definitely not the usual Cracker Barrel experience. We are visiting Florida and wanted some good ol’ down cooking. I order chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and corn. Nothing was seasoned!! Dumplings too thick with no taste. Meatloaf was dry with no taste. The fried catfish had no seasoning! We had a party of 12 and we ALL were very disappointed in our food. Our hostess Anna was great but the food was lacking. After dinner we went to the ladies restroom and it was disgusting and dirty. I’ve never visited a Cracker Barrel with a restroom looking like this one. Very disappointed ☹️

My wife and I had the campfire beef. It was served to us cold and dry. The Manger must not believe in quality control. We live local been there many times in the past years. Very disappointed. It was very apparent that these meals sat for hours before being served to us. Potatoes were cold, carrots were overcooked mush, and then meat was completely dry. For the hungry traveler's don't eat at the Ft. Pierce restaurant. Try Martin or Indian River counties. Your stomach will thank you. Terrible Father's day meal. John B.,Ft. Pierce resident

I can’t even convey how terrible this location is. Our party of 9 did everything right: name on their list (quoted 35 minutes), waiting patiently in the gift shop while we are told “you’re next” - only to have multiple other parties of same size sat in front of us. Their only solution after over an hour of waiting is “split your party up or keep waiting” - with an attitude, of course. Oh, and they only have 1 table that can seat 10 people. Two basics of customer service: don’t make a commitment to something you can’t do and be prepared to seat multiple large parties on a holiday weekend. First Watch sat our party 15 min earlier than their quoted time, maybe you need to learn a thing or two about southern hospitality.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this experience completely ruined the start of my Father’s Day. My meal was made incorrectly twice, which meant I spent more time waiting than actually enjoying breakfast with my family. To make matters worse, our table didn’t even have a complete set of utensils, so I had to wait even longer before I could eat. By the time everything was finally sorted out, my pancakes were cold. For a restaurant that’s usually known for good comfort food and hospitality, this visit was incredibly disappointing. Between the repeated mistakes, slow service, and lack of attention to basic details, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I expected much better, especially on Father’s Day.

Our family called to place us on a waiting list and we were told that they could not place us on a waiting list and we had to come in and that it will be about 15 minutes wait. When we arrived to the establishment the place was bursting with people waiting over 30 minutes, then when I asked the young lady at the front, she started to argue instead of finding out why we were mislead. Cracker barrel you can definitely do better treating your loyal customers.

Do not leave before you try the fried chicken and fried cat fish.

Pia our waitress was amazing. We tried to get her to come back to GA with us!!

  • June 15, 2026

Waitress was not friendly and looked very angry the whole time we were there. My steak came back crunchy because it was way over cooked, asked for med-well. Sides were cold, not sure we’d come back? Maybe go to a different location. (When is roast beef with gravy coming back, it was all I’d order and now it’s gone.)

Very rude and we had to wait for a while and the food was real bad

I like this restaurant while on the road, food is always great, service vary from location to location and time if the day. It can be too crowded or empty. But food is always good

The service was impeccable. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken and dumplings. Large portion and were delicious. My granddaughter had the butter garlic beef tips and said they were tender but wishes the server had asked how she wanted them cooked. She likes her steak medium and these were well done but were good. Wife had a vegetable plate and everything was good with the exception of the hash brown casserole which wasn’t as fresh as usual. Another granddaughter had the meatloaf and all was good. The youngest granddaughter had choc chip pancakes. I didn’t eat any but they looked sort of greasy and flat not fluffy. Overall I would give the food a B but an A+ for service.

RV parking, an good food, friendly service

  • June 1, 2026

Great service but all of the chairs were dirty. There was significant crumbs and dust on seats and slats of seats.

  • May 31, 2026

Excellent service and food. The waitress was perfect and the food arrived quickly. The only downside to the atmosphere was the dog that was permitted in the restaurant.
