What diners say — our read

An average is a poor summary when the underlying reviews look like this. Opinion on the staff is split — those reviews land at 3.0 on average. Plate size is the next most common subject, in 24% of reviews (averaging 3.5).

What nobody raises here is whether food comes out hot — it goes unmentioned across all 17 reviews. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 9 of 17. Of the 17 rated reviews, 11 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below.

The kitchen graded a B (85/100) on 3 intermediate and 6 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. That result dates from March 23, 2026. Ranked against Brevard County, it is safer than 26% of the restaurants we score. What the inspector actually wrote up: food & equipment thermometers provided and accurate and cross-contamination.

Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Came here for Fathers Day, shame on me for not having been here before. Hands down the best Churrasco steak, served with a side of chimichurri, but doesnt even need any. The steak stands on its own. The Paella Campesina is also delicious, must have! Will visit more often

Came here to celebrate my birthday with some Spanish food. It was very dissapointing. The service was extremely poor..with open tables, the kid hosting refused to sit us unless it was at the tables he wanted. Its the failure of process superceding service. Then they started speaking in front of us, in spanish about us, and we both speak Spanish, which made the experience more awkward. We ordered the breaded steak and a sandwich. The breaded steak says "tostones" and "maduros", do not be fooled, they mean ONE tostone and one maduro. The food was NOT made with hispanic seasonings. When the server found out how much we disliked the food, she agreed that the owners were stingy, and still didn't make it right. Then she told the manager in front of us, and the manager never came over to ask us about our experience. Very sad.

Really wanted to like this place. We weren’t seated right away even though there were several tables open. We were told that since we were a party of 2, we had to sit at a 2 top table and had to wait. The place was not full and there was no one else waiting or any explanation for this. Then, wait staff was rude. The food was okay but one meal didn’t have any salt or flavoring and one dish was over salted. There were several other things that were off about the meal. Our server was nice and tried to make it right, said she’d tell the manager but the manager never came out to remedy anything. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place and will not be returning, it was a terrible experience.

I grew up in Miami and I’ve had Cuban food so I understand what it’s supposed to taste like. This is the worst place I’ve ever eaten in my entire life and I am 72. I highly do not recommend this place. It was horrible. I could not eat it.

    small buainess, very cozy atmosphere.

We love this little place, and much like everything else- the people who moved hear from 2019 onward have found our secret Cuban Island Rest, but have thankfully not ruined it like they have the rest of Brevard! The authentic menu has inspirations from local cuisine- lobster bisque, coconut flan, and grouper are staples here. Couple that with the beautiful live music, it's an atmosphere that leaves nothing to be desired! We always bring our family here, and have never been disappointed!

Rice under cooked, was hard and bean lacked flavor. Waitress was amazing and the guitar player was good.

    Always the best!

This Cuban restaurant was the worse Cuban food we have had. We ask for a larger bowl of a simple black beans and rice. Bowl was big but very small amount of beans, nickel and dime operation. We had to ask for the rice because the waitress forgot it and the bread was extremely tiny. What a joke. Never again!! Stay away!! Trap!

We order food to go and it was delicious. Portions were reasonable and everything came exactly as it was shown in the menu. Definitely will eat here again.
