Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Whatever the overall score says, the last stretch of reviews is the weaker one. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.1, so it reads as a strength. How long an order takes follows at 26% of reviews, where ratings average 3.3.
Of the 23 rated reviews, 17 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 23.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (100/100), nothing cited at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from February 6, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against Brevard County, it is safer than 100% of the restaurants we score. No violations were recorded at that visit, which is the cleanest result available.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Too expensive for what you get and service is bad

First off I want to say brett the manager was awesome but sadly kasandra the waitress had a bit of an attitude while serving us even gave me a look and a sign , and when we said our food was cold she just quickly yanked it away . The bathroom smelt a bit probably cause of the water and the turkey was a bit dry. The food wasn't bad .

Tiara is the best server, ever, everything was quick, we were checked on, she was funny and friendly, g told us all the need-to-knows about their specials, and when I forgot my take out food, I came back a long time after when I realized and it was sitting at the table for me still, which I really appreciated, as I thought it was a long shot going back for it.

Once again the Economy has caused the decline of a once-great restaurant. The Brunswick stew had maybe a teaspoon of meat crumbles. It was basically vegetable soup. The pulled pork nachos had barely any toppings and much less pork than just two years ago. The burger consisted of two fast-food-thin patties that had almost no flavor. It's sad, this used to be my favorite BBQ place in the area but I doubt I will be going back. What you get isn't worth the price.

I had one of their brisket burgers and it was delicious! 😋 Our server was very helpful and friendly. The decor was a little funny...they were decorated for Christmas. I assume that keep the decorations up year round. I'll definitely be back!

One of the best for BBQ in Brevard. Worth a trip over the bridge.

Charlie and Jake’s BBQ absolutely knocked it out of the park at our wedding. From the moment they arrived, they made everything easy. We showed them where to set up, and they immediately got to work—no hand-holding, no constant questions, no added stress. They came fully prepared, brought everything they needed, and handled their setup with total professionalism and confidence. The food was incredible. Coming from a family and friend group that knows and appreciates great BBQ, that says a lot. The brisket was outstanding, the pulled pork was excellent, and everything held up perfectly throughout service. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the food was. What stood out just as much as the food was the hospitality. Debbie and Zoie , in particular, were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Debbie went out of her way to compliment my wife, tell us how beautiful the wedding looked, and genuinely made us feel cared for. That kind of warmth and professionalism is rare. Their service, accountability, and overall hospitality were second to none. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Portions are horrible here. My sister is holding up the brisket that is additional $3. Not great either. My turkey was drier than a fart. All of our garlic bread was harder than a rock. You could probably use it to start a fire. Fries were nice and crispy. Both my sisters said ribs were tough but no flavor, plus you get only 1 rib on the mini combo. Ranch taste like it’s from Sysco. Service was okay. Haley was our server, very slow and not attentive. We were one of 3 tables and 10 guests at the bar on a Monday at 2pm. Rather go to Dustin’s BBQ.

Brisket should be tender and flavorful. If you like sides go ahead but $35 for a terrible brisket plate? My 6 year old refuse to eat it. It was his special request for his birthday. Never again.

First time visitor to Charlie and Jake’s. Great food and atmosphere. Shannon was EXCELLENT! Appreciate the food and service! Will be back next time in town.

My wife and I had dinner here earlier this week. We have eaten there a lot over the years and I have always had some sort on BBQ, either on a bun or plate. It has always been good. On this trip, I spent more time reading over the menu which is extensive. I am very glad I did because I had the 8 oz Prime Rib Dinner. It was delicious and was much more than I could eat. I will definitely go back just to have the same meal again.

Food was good but came out Luke warm and was soon cold with the AC on high blowing right on us, which seemed unnecessary considering it was only about 70 degrees out.
-
Great service and great food as always.

I don't usually write reviews but the waitress summer is the best awesome experience I will definitely be back.
-
Summer is amazing and Jessica is a doll. There are two of the most honest people I’ve ever met dropped a $4000 ring, and Jessica wouldn’t take reward money. I have had summer three times now for my server, Side from the fact that she arbitrarily puts on gloves, she is amazing. She’s compassionate, and beautiful, I hope I get to see her in the future when I come in.

Music was very loud and not appropriate for the age of their patrons

Outstanding

Probably the best bbq around but I still love the prime rib Sammie, nice slice of prime rib on garlic toast or roll, w/ au jus and horseradish.. very big sandwich for sure... ate it so quickly I neglected to get a picture. Haven't been here in many years before today and just as awesome as i remember.

Great food and service
-
Service was a little slow but I feel like they have a server shortage in Florida so not a surprise. Food was really good. It's a little loud but they had to put everyone in one section due to the lack of servers. I think if we were spread out it would have been quieter.

Great BBQ! Wonderful atmosphere, especially outside. Very nice staff for the most part. We had a waitress, Eden, who was inattentive and didn’t even bring us bbq sauce to our table. The bartender was lovely and made sure we were taken care of. Would definitely go back, but would want a different server.
