There is no middle ground in these 21 reviews. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.1 stars.
What nobody raises here is whether food comes out hot — it goes unmentioned across all 21 reviews. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 15 of 21. 17 of 21 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (94/100) with 6 basic violations. That result dates from April 20, 2026. Ranked against Osceola County, it is safer than 57% of the restaurants we score. What the inspector actually wrote up: food & equipment thermometers provided and accurate and cross-contamination.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Overall had a really good experience. We were impressed with the food at all the restaurants (minus old hickory just because we didn’t get to try). The hotel was huge, like it was its own city. We traveled with a 6 month old so we had plenty of areas so walk and things see. The saltwater pond was incredibly cool One thing was very disappointing though. The fridge in our room was at 56deg (brought thermometer) when we got there, it’s one of those fridges you have to hit the “2 hr cool” on, once you hit the 2 hr cool, it would get down in the 30s but then go back up. How is this safe for food? I went down to talk to the front desk and ask if they could do something about it because we had to keep breast milk in there, and they told me no, but you can bring your breast milk and put it the hotels fridge… That was completely unacceptable for so many reasons. So I had to go buy a cooler and keep filling it with ice. One area for improvement would be to change one of the two Starbucks to another coffee shop.

My teen and toddler loved exploring around the hotel. The staff was super awesome and the pools were great. Such a large place to explore. :)

My girlfriend and I had an amazing vacation. Bryan and Gavin at the front desk are awesome! We had great pretzels and lemon hummus at the pool bar and bomb service from Ian. We ate at Wreckers twice is how good that buffalo cauliflower was! We also loved Theresa U. She provided great service and was really wonderful. Update: family trip late June 2026. As soon as I got to my room, I bumped into Annette H. from housekeeping and she’s an absolute gem. Her wonderful personality and urge to help others and say hello to my kids is what made this stay really stand out. I then went to the waterpark and the teens who are in charge are some of the most professional humans I’ve encountered. Some of the kids were absolutely harassing employees. We stood in line for a slide for about an hour due to an employee not showing up and kids were just hounding Brian and he really handled all of it so well and he was beyond patient and kind. Matthew who was another lifeguard manning the slides was awesome as well! They both were so nice to my kids over and over as they couldn’t get enough of the slides. Jeff at wreckers was very kind and funny and definitely enhanced our vibes at dinner. We were there at the busiest time possible and the hosts were handling everything so efficiently! The downside here is this place is severely understaffed and to add to it, they sell day passes so anyone can get into the waterpark for $50. If you cannot keep up with the guests who have rooms booked and paid a…

Great location. Very well kept. The property is well maintained. Restaurants can use some upgrades in terms of service and options but there is so much around the resort that if you just wanna eat out you can. Water park is mostly for kids.

This stay completely changed my perspective on where to stay when visiting Nashville. This past weekend, I returned for the Alan Jackson concert, and all I can say is…wow. The hospitality started the moment I checked in with Joel. He is the definition of Marriott Brand Standards. As someone who stays in hotels throughout the year, it’s become rare to find a front desk associate who genuinely acknowledges your loyalty status and proactively offers the benefits you’re entitled to without you having to ask. That level of service seems to be a lost art these days, and Joel absolutely nailed it. Five stars to him alone. I also want to recognize Jason, who I believe was part of the concierge team. He was standing at the “How May I Assist?” sign and was incredibly attentive and welcoming. Mina at the front desk was equally wonderful, helping me with a late checkout and replacement room keys with a smile and genuine willingness to help. As for the hotel itself, I honestly had no idea just how much it had to offer until my last day. I found myself wishing I had explored sooner! 10/10 buffet that I stumbled upon looking for a last minute spot for breakfast!!!! The game room made me feel like a kid again, I wanted to play every game. The indoor water park looked amazing, and I immediately thought about bringing my nieces and nephews for a future trip because they would absolutely love it. Between the beautiful indoor gardens, shopping, restaurants, and even the complimentary shuttle to…

We had an amazing stay at Gaylord Palms! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with stunning indoor gardens, water features, and immaculate grounds that make you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. There were so many things to do without even leaving the property, and the restaurants offered delicious food with great service. The attention to detail throughout the resort really made our stay feel special. Whether you're visiting for a family vacation, a couples getaway, or just a relaxing weekend, I highly recommend Gaylord Palms. We can't wait to come back!

Por supuesto. Aquí tienes una versión natural y apropiada para una reseña en inglés: I booked this hotel specifically to enjoy the pools, which were one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. Unfortunately, the pools were closed almost three hours before their scheduled closing time due to a supposed storm. The disappointing part is that it never rained, and the pools were never reopened. I completely understand that guest safety comes first during severe weather, but in this case the decision seemed unnecessary and significantly impacted my stay. If guests are paying to enjoy the hotel’s amenities, they should be able to use them during the advertised hours whenever conditions allow. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.

Our family stayed during the homeschool convention to have our special needs daughter participate in prom and graduation. She was completely overwhelmed at the end and we left quickly, accidentally leaving her diploma under her chair. Within 30 minutes of leaving, I began a barrage of calls, had parents who were still there trying to find it, and received assurance after assurance that something as valuable as that wouldn’t be discarded. Todd S. An asst director finally reached out a week plus later and continued with what was now, fake assurances, including that he would call me, email me, etc. but did not. I totally get that it was us that left the item behind, but we gave specific information down to the chair where it was located, and called before they could have been breaking down the room. Given the level of importance of this item, there should have been something more than platitudes offered. In this day and age of instant communication, how hard is it to find the supervisor for the area in real time, send someone to search and ask relevant employees and maintain timely contact? I literally could have turned around and come back. My daughter is devastated. What is the most disturbing is the lack of concern and follow through. It’s unprofessional and not representative of the hotel brand. Unfortunately it has overshadowed every other aspect of our stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Gaylord Palms Resort was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we checked in until the day we left, every detail exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a balcony room overlooking the breathtaking atrium, and waking up each morning to that incredible view made the experience even more special. The resort itself is stunning, immaculately maintained, and there is always something beautiful to see around every corner. The restaurants were top-notch, offering outstanding food and exceptional service no matter where we dined. Every meal felt like part of the vacation. The pool area was the highlight of our trip. Renting a private cabana was worth every penny—it came equipped with a safe, TV, comfortable sofas, and plenty of space to relax while still being just steps away from the action. It made spending the day poolside both luxurious and convenient. And the lazy river? Simply spectacular! It was the perfect way to unwind, soak up the Florida sunshine, and create unforgettable family memories together. Gaylord Palms is more than just a hotel—it’s a destination where memories are made. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a couples getaway, or just looking for a resort that has it all, I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will absolutely be back!

This resort is over the top in just about every way you can imagine. Everything is inside except the kids play areas, the pool and water park areas. We weren't expecting this at all, but we were blown away by just how awesome this entire property is.
-
Overall very clean. Good entertainment for families with kids. There can be quite a bit of walking, especially on the first day figuring out where to park and getting to your room.

Si bien no posee el desayuno, es un resort que lo tiene todo.. es caro adentro pero, vale la pena ir por una noche para allá a vivir la experiencia

I was attending the AOPO annual event. My team could not have picked a better place. This location was absolutely beautiful in person. The staff were also amazing.

Love love love Gaylord Palms Resorts. They are clean, love the scent throughout, the vibe. Service is top notch. They even provide 2 bottle of water in the room which is needed. I always look forward to my visits here.

Beautiful place but very very busy! Balcony suites are very nice.

My family and I went during Christmas time to go to ICE and watch the Cirque show. It was a lovely stay.
-
The place is nice in general. Pool operations are atrocious, including the manager. Not to be confused with the f&b service at the pool. Just the actual pool operations. Don’t buy the premium seating. They just let anyone sit in them without paying. Pool management is poor. Customer service at the pool is non existent.

We visited the Alpine Village at this hotel last Christmas, and let me tell you... its beautifull! We were blown away by all the ice sculptures, and the ice slide is awesome. If you have time this holiday season, don't miss the chance of visiting this place.
