Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
An average is a poor summary when the underlying reviews look like this. Where front-of-house comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.2, so it reads as a strength.
Of the 14 rated reviews, 9 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (8 of 14).
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (100/100) with no violations cited. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. The visit behind that grade was April 17, 2026. Ranked against Osceola County, it is safer than 100% of the restaurants we score. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Acabo de comprar un pollo con arroz y frijoles para llevar y me dieron un pollo quemado y tienen características de que allá sido devuelto por otras personas le aconsejo que revisen su comida antes de llevarla.

The food was good. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the fried yuca bites, which is one of the main reasons I come here. Aside from that, the service was extremely poor. One of my orders was prepared incorrectly, and when I asked for it to be fixed, one of the employees practically threw the plate at me. She remade the dish with a very rude attitude and then slammed the new plate down again. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I won’t be returning to this location.

I had quite a few people recommend Pollo Tropical to me, so I was excited to finally give it a try. I even looked over the menu before my trip, and while it seemed a little plain, I was still willing to give it a shot. Overall, the food was good. Everything tasted fresh, and I can definitely see why people like it. That said, it just wasn’t anything that wowed me or made me want to come back. It honestly reminded me of the kind of meal I’d order if I were meal prepping—simple, filling, and nutritious, but not something I’d go out of my way to crave. I’m glad I tried it, but it’s probably a one-and-done for me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at the location near the Loop. Food was a good value and the tables were clean.

Fast service super clean

The food is catered to the Hispanic community mostly with traditional Hispanic Caribbean food. I love the grilled chicken with the garlic sauce.

We have been going to this location for years and the staff are good people. Like any business staff members come and go but its always good people. Thank you for taking care of us all these years.

It helps a lot if you can speak Spanish at the Kissimmee’s location. The food is good and the service is reasonable

People don’t pay attention anymore even when you repeat your order it’s still wrong. I asked them to strain some juice off the black beans on my tropic chop and ask for extra chicken. They gave me no beans sometimes the chicken comes in a separate cup. Sometimes the chicken comes mixed in the tropic chop bowl inconsistency seems shady. I do not feel like I’m getting my moneys worth when you do it different ways please pay attention. This is how you lose customers. We don’t wanna pay for something that’s wrong.
