Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
One subject runs through these 23 reviews more than any other: the staff. Reviews mentioning front-of-house average 3.9 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, freshness and temperature appears most often — 26% of the corpus, averaging 2.5.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (12 of 23). A third strand, value for money, appears in 17% of them at 5.0 stars. Of the 23 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 6 at two or below.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. The visit behind that grade was November 13, 2025. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. Ranked against Lake County, it is safer than 100% of the restaurants we score. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Chicken critter salad is ALWAYS delicious! 😋 Country fried chicken is a large portion size. Chili as a side is tasty and upgrading to bowl is only $1 but big portion, well worth it. Casual environment with friendly servers

Food was very good and service was excellent. The restaurant gets noisy when they get busy...so it's difficult to have a conversation.

Awesome meal, great service! Such a treat!

I was BEYOND disappointed with my visit to Texas Roadhouse. Sharon, we need to have a conversation. First of all, the bread was FLAT. Not fluffy. Not warm and heavenly. FLAT. And don’t even THINK about blaming the baker because she’s “new.” I. Do. Not. Care. If you’re serving bread, it should resemble bread, not a pancake. Now let’s address the Caesar salad. Sharon told me they were out of croutons. EXCUSE ME? I literally saw Billy at the next table happily crunching away on croutons like they were going out of style. Sharon, please don’t lie to me. My salad showed up with sad, brown lettuce that looked like it had fought in three wars. I had to send it back. Then I specifically mentioned it was my mom’s birthday. No birthday song. No yee-haw. No free dessert. Not even a candle. Sharon smiled like everything was fine, but actions speak louder than fake customer service. And DON’T get me started on my Coke Zero. It sat empty for 30 MINUTES. I should not have to wave my empty cup around like I’m trying to signal a rescue helicopter. SHARON, WATCH MY DRINK. I had to ASK for a refill. That’s unacceptable. I’m not a Karen, Sharon. I simply expect the quality and service I PAY FOR. This visit completely ruined Texas Roadhouse for me. At this point I’d rather go to Hooters, where at least the servers seem motivated to earn a tip. ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Better luck next time… preferably with someone who remembers the bread, the croutons, the drinks, and the birthday. (btw i put sharon because…

Never disappointed.
-
Horrible customer service. Everyone jammed together for lunch in one section when the entire restaurant is wide open.. The Reason ; " oh we don't have enough severs right now and we don't want them to walk an extra 15 feet to serve the patrons" PATHETIC !!

Can't go wrong with Texas Roadhouse. Great prices, great food.

Got take out for Father's Day, very good. Did have a problem with online.

Well, unfortunately our experience was very poor! Not the usual Texas Roadhouse experience we are accustomed to. Steak was very, very tough, and raw. Shared this with the manger that promised a replacement in 5 to 10 mins. 20 mins later, no steak, no manager to be found. We left! Also. The broccoli was very raw and crisp. I enjoyed a wonderful baked potato for $15! The steak and broccoli was not the Texas Roadhouse standard. Our server was inattentive and avoided the issue. Never saw him again or the manager which assured us the steak would be right out! Such a disappointment on Fathers Day.

Food is great, service is great, and prices reasonable! Our favorite place for filet mignon 😁

Very good meal for Father’s Day! Paul made our experience super great and the food was delicious.

The restaurant with clean. Sidney, our server was very good. My vegetables weren't cooked, almost raw. I'm not sure why they don't quality check before it leaves the kitchen. The mac and cheese was average. I'm surprised a restaurant chain of their size does not have a signature mac and cheese. I think it would sell very well. The shining part of my meal was the smothered chicken. With no gravy. The mushrooms and onions were kind of bland but the chicken itself was fantastic. It had great flavor and it was very tender. I would highly recommend I would order it again.

Food was okay, service was good Place was extremely dirty. Bathrooms are the worst.
-
Nice place if you like extremely loud noises...not a place for people with PTSD or autism...but excellent quality food and friendly staff...

I’ve been to nine locations in seven states and this location bested them all.

Service was excellent. Fiod was amazing. Texas fillet that melted in your mouth. Huge baked potato and salad. Wonderful. Good price.

To start this Texas roadhouse will answer the phone and not leave you on hold forever like the other Texas roadhouse in Ocala. I was on hold for 35min and no one ever came back and I'm not happy about that. The Lady lake Texas roadhouse is the place to go. Not only great food and awesome atmosphere but EXCELLENT service. Our server Amy, I can't say enough of how AMAZONG she was. Attentive, smart, knew the menu, sweet to my kids and made sure we had everything we could even need or want. She was like clock work, the minute you even think you may need a refill or condiment, she was there. I recommend this location to anyone that wants a great time and have service like if you are a friends house for a great time. Our food was top notch and didn't even need any sauce. The ribs, off the bone, sirloin was juicy and perfectly cooked. My beer was nice and cold, loved it!!

Called for pick up and on way got stuck at construction, repeatedly called to tell them id get here slightly after 10 and when i arrive in told all the food I ordered and drove for was trashed
-
Not the usual Roadhouse. Chicken critters were stringy and did not taste fresh. Waiting for salads and suddenly our meal appeared. Heard the same problem at another table. Salads appeared with our check!!!!
-
Incredibly hot inside. Food was awful.

I have mixed feelings about our recent visit. I ordered my steak medium-rare, but it arrived closer to medium-well. The staff was very professional and took it back to the kitchen immediately to fix it. However, the timing was the biggest issue. When they did correct my order & finally it came —by the time my new steak arrived, my partner had already finished his entire meal. Actually I should have just refused the new steak and my bill should have been comped & that was not done my management. I think that's very poor customer service. **JUNE** Update -- Texas Roadhouse VIP Rewards Program "Free Appetizer" Require a Full Entree to receive Free Appetizer

We Went to Dinner and Started with The Blooming Onion, and I Got The Country Fried Chicken Dinner with Baked Potato. LOVED IT AND WE HAD A WONDERFUL AND HELFUL WAITER.
