What diners say — our read

Reviews and inspection point the same way here. Reviewers who mention how guests are treated rate this place 4.8 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. Speed of service follows at 21% of reviews, where ratings average 5.0.

5 stars is the modal score, given by 15 of the 18 reviewers who rated. 17 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. Conspicuously absent: freshness and temperature, which no reviewer brings up.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (98/100), with 2 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That inspection was on June 12, 2026. That puts it ahead of 80% of graded kitchens in Orange County. Among the items recorded were food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

I attended the Sip and Savor VIP event at California Grill inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort and used Towne Park valet. My vehicle was returned with damage that led to a repair estimate of over $3,000.||After weeks of follow-ups, delays, and being ignored, I received a generic denial letter with no real accountability.||For a Disney premium resort, California Grill, and a VIP event, this was unacceptable.||Valet damage. Silence. Denial. Zero accountability.

I had the garden wing-water view room. Great location to magic kingdom. My complaint would be that the only view we got was tree tops. Couldn’t see any water from the room. Maybe they were calling it a water view due to the direction the room was facing.

One of the best resorts I ever stayed at. I really love the atmosphere, went with my 3 best buddies last night to see fireworks and staff were pretty nice. Me and my family and now friends going forward will now stay at bay lake tower every 3 years and our next grand gathering is 2027!

This was a birthday celebration visit for my husband. And our very first visit to the 14th floor Tower Club Level. It was absolutely amazing. We have stayed on the 12th club level, but never even got to see the 14th until this trip. We did have to wait a while on our room as we arrived at the hotel early. But we had full access to the Club with all of the food and drinks, movies, and the view from the balcony which was even more entertaining than any movie. The concierge were all so nice and accommodating. And when our room did get ready just after 3 PM we were amazed at the size of the balcony and the room. The food in the Club Lounge was very good and everything so extremely clean. They even had flavored straws! The concierge left a big bottle of red wine in our room with two glasses since we had waited so long on the room to get ready. Housekeeping was also extremely nice. Everything spotless. And if anyone wants to do the most fun attraction at Disney, go down to the boats at the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian and rent a pontoon boat. You don't have to be staying on property, but you do have to show your ID. No boat license needed. They will show you how to operate it, and where all the life jackets are. And while you are out there you are watched by the lake patrol officers so if you need anything you just wave both arms at them and they will come to your rescue. They are also watching the weather for you. If any storms come in the area, they will let you know. Oh,…

First time staying in the Bay Lake Towers. We had a park view which was amazing when the fireworks display is happening. It's the only place I ever want to stay now!!

Every cast member I encountered was giving their best and extremely polite. That said, service felt different this time. Maybe staffing was strained as college program was starting for the summer, or maybe something else. Staff members seemed more drained than usual. Also, we stayed club level and it felt very different from other resort club levels. Far busier, items were constantly running out and in need of restocking (they were out of Diet Coke for 3 days). Again, cast members were doing their best, but it didn’t feel like the tightly run ship we’re used to at Disney and especially at Club Level.

Had dinner with some really good friends at the California Grill and it was amazing. The food was great and the Theme was great also.

I love the contemporary, the room we had was above a large number of rooms that were being worked on and it was obstructive of. our total room experience. I would like to return soon but after spending a lot of money. i would live to be able to stay st Grand floridian for a good price.

Our girls had the most magical time at Walt Disney World. They loved the hotel theme of the Incredibles, character dinning experiences, all of the food, and most of all the Happily Ever After firework show at the end of the night. We announced to the girls that they were getting a baby sister while we were there. Now they cannot wait to bring the new baby back to Disney World. Thank you for the magic ✨

Convenient location, really good food at restaurant on the top floor called the California Grill

Our family loved staying in the south garden wing of the Contemporary Resort. It was quiet and steps from the pool and the beautiful lake view. While my husband and adult daughter slept in, I was able to enjoy beautiful sunrises in a comfy chair by the lake. The short walk to the tower allowed me to get coffee and danish for them to take back to the room and get them moving along. We enjoyed all four parks over four days. It was awesome! We had a hiccup on the Sunday of our stay. Perhaps I overdid it, but I ended up passing out waiting for the fireworks. My husband quickly found a team member who called the onsite paramedics. They were amazing! I chose to go to the ER at Celebration to make sure it was a one time event. They also took great care of me. On Monday, I felt fine and we finished our trip in the Magic Kingdom. My compliments and appreciation to all who helped me and my family that evening. The service at Disney is the absolute best!
