Complaints here are real, but they are mostly not about the kitchen. Reviews that raise what it costs average just 2.3 stars — this is where the complaints concentrate. The staff follows at 31% of reviews, where ratings average 2.8.
The split is 9 positive to 14 negative across 26 rated reviews, with 3 in the middle. 1 star is the modal score, given by 12 of the 26 reviewers who rated. A third strand, wait times, appears in 23% of them at 4.2 stars.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (98/100), 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That inspection was on March 20, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 80% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.
If serving size is what you care about, the reviews are the better guide here; if it is the kitchen, the grade is. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Delicious… but no cap, $40 for TWO ice creams (one being a mini sundae) is absolutely bonkers in this economy. Every one of the staff is super nice, even though they look very stressed with the volume of customers. I asked to get my nob hill chill more chocolatey and they definitely understood and redid it for me, no questions asked. Wish they put the prices up more clearly, that was the last time I probably go there but it was very good and a nice ambience to hang out with friends and family

We've been coming here for years. The ice cream is good; however, they've passed the point of cost-to-value. $26 for an ice cream sunday is ridiculous! We ordered 2 Sundays, and they cost $53, this will be the last time we visit this spot.

Counter female person was rude and lost oit a huge commission

Liam made me laugh and my milkshake was great!
-
So yummy. Nob Hill milkshake. Best part they have air conditioning and no wait for bathrooms!!
-
Delicious ice cream sundae for $20.00 plus tax. Wishing they offered ice cream choices like years ago. Mint chip would have been better. Friendly staff.
-
Such a horrible place. My daughter has celiac and requires gluten free items. This location has plenty available but REFUSED to change their gloves.... This is 100% disability discrimination.. Came to the most happiest place on earth to be refused Ice-cream. All because they wouldn't change their gloves... Super disappointed 😞

Worst experience I’ve had at this Ghirardelli. The prices have gone way up and you get a smaller size cup. The nob hill chill used to be my reason for coming here, but now they just fill it up to the brim with fudge and nothing else. No consideration for how much money people are dropping to buy this. Do not recommend.
-
It is overpriced
-
The ice cream is good but it's too expensive. I usually get one scoop now it's 14.99 plus taxes. It's not worth it ...
-
Super packed but the line moves quickly. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu
-
This place used to be great. Good ice cream for a good value. It’s absolutely trash now. $20 for a specialty ice cream! And my kids got a vanilla scoop with sprinkles and it cost $15 a damn cup. Awful customer experience and value. Avoid at all costs. THIS IS A RIP OFF.
-
Its 20 dollars for a couple scoops of ice cream. No chance its worth it.

We used to love going to Ghirardelli in Disney Springs until they took their Drinking Chocolate off of the menu. It was the best thing they sold and was so delicious and decadent. We used to take the leftovers of this drink and put it in the fridge. We would eat a spoonful or two every day and it lasted for days!! It was fantastic!!! We probably won’t be going to Ghirardellis again since nothing else is as tasty there as the Drinking Chocolate was!!!!!!!!!!
-
We ordered 1 dubai chocolate sunday to share. The sunday was sloppy. They put globs of chocolate and dubai filling. Not a nice mixture especially for the hefty cost. We threw it away unfortunately. Will not go back.
-
Hard one to rate. I'm on a Disney vacation and this is a nice area... So I'm biased from the start. But to be objective....the portion size is small for the money. That is what really takes away from this. Got one, thinking we could share but it's actually quite small. The food is really tasty.
-
i got the dubai style sundae and it was $25. it was fine but not at all worth the price. highway robbery happening at this place and the service was mediocre.
-
Pior sorvete que eu já comi. O do Mc Donalds é melhor. Não vale o preço nem a fila. Não gosto de nada, calda ruim e chantilly gorduroso. Nunca vou voltar
-
Worth the wait! Staff was friendly. Brownie fudge sundae was delicious.
-
This used to be one of my favorite parts of a Disney trip to stop in and grab a heaping delicious waffle cone. Now it is $18 for 2 underwhelming scoops in a cup. The vanilla tastes like cheap soft serve and the chocolate ice cream seems like it came from an overspun generic store brand tub. Not wasting my money on this ever again.
-
Dubai Sundae, diabetic attack waiting to happen. One bite and I was done. A WASTE of $25. Something aren't meant to be combined. Way to much toppings not enough ice cream. Service was fine.
-
It was really bad. I got a waffle cup and it was so old that would not break. Just order ice cream.
-
Manager Brent and Jovan were incredibly disrespectful and we had multiple wrong orders but they didn’t listen to us. If you don’t want to work don’t take it out on customers. We paid a lot of money and nothing was done. Don’t know why you even bother with this place.

My daughter has celiac and was so excited to have ice cream here. When it was our turn to order, I explained her allergy and asked if they could use a new scoop to scoop her ice cream to avoid cross contamination. They told me NO because they don’t make any exceptions for allergies. I asked to speak with the manager. She came and also told me NO. They would not make any exceptions for any allergies. I explained that I wasn’t asking for a lot and my daughter is a kid. I just wanted them to use a new scoop. She bluntly told me NO. DO BETTER GHIRARDELLI!!!
-
I had the luck to visit the original in San Francisco and I was surprised that they mantain the quality of the original Sundae. Of course that the one in SF came in a big glass cup, but that's not possible in this store. But the quantity and taste was superb. You have to taste one of their sundaes!!!
-
Ive been waiting to try Ghirardelli ice cream at disney springs, so i decided to get some desert. I know its not cheap but its definitely worth it! I had the caramel sundae and it was on point! Im going to go back next time and get the Dubai sundae!
