Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
One subject runs through these 14 reviews more than any other: front-of-house. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 5.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
14 of 14 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. What nobody raises here is pacing — it goes unmentioned across all 14 reviews.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (100/100), nothing cited at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from June 1, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

The food was really good. I don’t like seafood but my partner does and our server did a great job at making sure we each got tapas that fit our pallet. Service was great and the restaurant had a nice vibe, really good mix of music. Definitely recommend for a date night!

Overall the experience of dining here has always exceeded expectations. The food, and our server Tamara, made it so much easier to enjoy the full experience of the meal and wine tasting.

Dinner was great but what made it was Emmanuel- he was kind and attentive and he is an asset to Jalen’s for sure. Every table he went to he greeted his guests with a smile like he just started his evening and let me say there were some screaming kids around us and I’m not sure how he does it😊😊😊

Freddy is a legend. He has the most on point recommendations based on your specific taste. Incredible at picking up those little details from a simple conversation. He should be part of the leadership team!
