What diners say — our read

Recent diners are rating this place better than the back catalogue suggests. Reviews mentioning price average 3.8 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. Tidiness follows at 29% of reviews, where ratings average 3.5.

10 of 14 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. Behind those, plate size is raised in 21% of reviews (4.0 average). If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (8 reviews).

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (99/100), 1 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. DBPR last walked in on April 28, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 87% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

    Love Disney World

Checked in yesterday life time platinum member. Valet was a mess worst I have seen. No bellman carried own bags. Was given a king bed that was nice. Rooms tired dirty and mold in shower. Not sure they care but you should. I would not recommend this property!

I go to WDW several times a year and enjoy staying at different resorts. This isn't a Disney resort; however, I've always wanted to stay at Swan or Dolphin. The room was spacious, modern, clean, and very comfortable. Public areas were also clean, contemporary, and well maintained. Breakfast daily at Fuel was convenient and better quality than Disney resorts. They even have Mickey waffles! Loved the chocolate malt from the Fountain. Loved being on the boardwalk. Boat transportation was great. Busses were good. Educate yourself to avoid frustration. For example, the Disney Springs bus drops off and picks up on the opposite end of Disney Springs then where the Disney busses are. Parks on the monorail lines... busses come and go from the Transportation and Ticket Center so you have to monorail in. It's fine. Just be aware. I didn't love not being able to just tap and go with my magic band for purchases but it was a minor inconvenience. Pool was great, too. Seats filled fast by late morning but there are multiple pools lots if chairs. Ordering food delivered right to your lounge chair was awesome and to pool food was really good... buffalo chicken flatbread! Lastly... EPCOT fireworks from our balcony! Great stay!

Stayed in east building. Totally worth the cost to watch the fireworks nightly. Make sure to book the east side from floor 8-10..

Trip was great till it caught on fire. Apparently known ventilation issues in the steakhouse so they had two fire drills this week and then tonight they actually had a fire in the steakhouse. No fire alarms and my family had to evacuate ourselves because luckily we saw the fire from our room. Zero communication after the building was evacuated. The lack of safety protocols here is beyond unacceptable. What a total cluster. Let’s see how Marriott handles this one the backside…..

So beautiful and so much to do. Affordable foods in the cafe. Lots of entertainment and amenities. Ferry to Disney boardwalk or walking distance. Pools, grotto, DJ. Loved our stay!

Megan W, went above and beyond to take care of us on our vacation, after several issues prior to arriving at the hotel and then some. She took our very bad day and made it wonderful! Thank you so much and we love the resort and location. 5/5

Boardwalk can be chaos or quiet at the same time. People watch, nightly movie on the lawn, s'more over wood fire. All easily both. Restaurants are easy walk up for last minute decisions. Can you say no planning?

Always a treat to go and stay here

Pros: - Location and transportation options are very convenient - Pools are large and nice with several choices - Rooms are good size - Beds are comfortable with great pillows Cons: - Ants in room (on bedding, nightstands and bathroom) - Rooms are very damp (sheets feel almost wet) - Not enough parking (had to park at the Swan Reserve) - Exorbitant daily parking and resort fees (tack on an extra ~$100 per night to the rate)

I should’ve listened to the reviews. The rooms are a bit dated and our room was overwhelmed with the smell of febreeze to hide the mildew scent. Daughter seen a used dirty and wet hand towel. Ima dining the housekeeper, well hoping it was just a missed towel mistaken for a clean unused one. The pillows underneath the pillow case look gross. I may not stay my entire stay. I’m hesitant to use the bathroom and towels. Coming off a Disney cruise this was a bit of a letdown and room and not worth the money. WiFi also went down. The only good thing is proximity to the Disney parks and having early entry to the parks.I wish I had went with an Airbnb and got a car rental which would’ve been the cost of this hotel stay. What’s also disappointing is the ridiculously priced Fuel convenience store downstairs. $9.25 for a 4-8oz children’s apple juice. Left it and decided to uber for food.

We encountered a small issue during check-in where the room type we booked didn’t match what we received. The front desk handed us a room key card, but unfortunately, it didn’t have any keys attached. We felt a bit frustrated as we waited in the hallways. Fortunately, Caira Porte, one of the housekeeping staff members, kindly approached us and offered her help. She patiently showed us both rooms and suggested which one might be best based on the view and noise levels. Caira was very professional and incredibly friendly. I’d like to take a moment to recognize her as a wonderful person. Thank you, Caira!

Location and pool, awesome! Rooms felt old, worn, small, more like a Best Western type of room. Toilet was plugged and tried to use the AI phone assistant to get service, total fail. Would not transfer to a human hotel front desk operator. Had to go in person twice to ask for service. Toilet finally unplugged at 8:30 at night. People staffing the Fuel coffee, snack bar were totally impatient and annoyed with customers even when we were the only ones being served. For a spendy luxury resort hotel, not worth the price.

The Dolphin was a bit of a disappointment. Parking was a disaster, even though they charge you a nightly parking fee. Our room was just okay. We only stayed one night, so it wasn’t worth requesting a room change. Staying on the boardwalk can’t be beat with the food options and the ability to walk the boardwalk at night.
