We ate inside at the buffet meal. Great selection of entrees, side desserts and fruit. Characters came around frequently to visit with the children. Good meal, good service, airconditioned dining and the grandsons were happy. does it get any better?

Visited on a weekday evening for the character dining. It was our first time visiting and everything about it was wonderful. Our server was kind and down to Earth, the food was absolutely amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful and the variety of dishes made it the best buffet we visited during our trip. Someone even stoppdd by our table to see how everything was. I would definitely return here again!

The breakfast buffet experience at Tusker House exceeded our expectations when it comes to character dining menu options. The environment can be a bit stimulating and depending on where you’re seated navigating with a wheelchair could be difficult. There are a fair amount of gluten sensitive and vegetarian breakfast options. Be sure to request an allergen guide when seated to help select safe options for your party. Reservations highly recommended.

Service here was beyond disappointing. We had reservations for 12:30 and waited until about 12:45 and we still hadn’t been called although we arrived around 12:16. I went to check with the hostess stand and I politely asked if she knew how much longer the wait would be. The hostess was named Pacee and she said well it isn’t even time for your reservation my system shows 12:55. I advised her that was incorrect and my app is showing 12:30 and I made the reservation for 12:30. She had a very nasty attitude and basically insinuated that I was lying to her. When I pulled my phone up to try to show her she wouldn’t even look at it and said that there were walk up tables that needed seated so I guess making a reservation means nothing. I walked away and a few minutes later another female joined her at the hostess stand. I went back over to ask her and I wish I had gotten her name she was much nicer and stated that we should have received a text by now for seating because her system did show that our reservation was in fact at 12:30. When I tried to talk to her at first Pacee started to chime in and said I already told you…the other hostess cut her off. I showed her my confirmation text where I had checked in at 12:16 and she ensured that we were taken care of immediately. Upon entering our waitress honestly wasn’t very pleasant and seemed to have an attitude as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. The best food that we have ever had in our lives. My husband was given a food allergy menu which provided a clear chart explaining what can be eaten based on different allergies. He was able to eat 90% of everything even with a peanut/tree nut allergy. There was the kindest gentleman that helped give tips on how to best eat the carrot ginger soup, and it was the best soup of my life. I wish I had gotten his name, but he was working on 6-6 (2:50-3:50 timeframe). Thank you for being so kind! Thank you Donna for being such a phenomenal server! Also, the Disney characters were the absolute best (we haven’t done a disney character breakfast since we were children). Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Mickey were so full of energy. This place is truly special. Walt Disney World is great BECAUSE of cast members like this! Thank you again for a fantastic time!

Had the time of my life at Tusker House. My husband took us here for my birthday and truly had such an incredible time. Maria our server was the best, and felt so much love from the cast. Thank you for making me feel so special on my bday!

Absolutely love the character breakfast at Tusker House! The food is delicious, fresh, and there are options for everyone. There is even an omelette station that is made to order and moves along quickly. The theme along with everything at Disney is perfect. The characters are in safari outfits, the decorations, themed food (Simba waffles, African style), and characters dancing. It all makes the experience that much better!

Buffet with some unique regional foods not found anywhere else. All the curries were great. Plenty of options in the buffet , even for pickier eaters. It is very loud inside though, between music and the character songs.

We are passholders and went for the 40% summer deal for lunch. We have not eaten here in almost 20 years. But I knew it was a buffet. the place was packed due to the deal but the noise level was on another planet. combined with the crappy music they were blasting I wanted to cover my ears. we were seated at a tiny two person table elbows away from the large group of 20 next to us. We could not hear each other talk. kids were screaming and running all over. All we had on the table was a wine and beer list. no menu no qr code to scan. so i ask the waitress what drinks are included withe the buffet. she rattles off coke products, lemonade, tea, coffee and milk. I said do you have strawberry lemonade and she says yes. We get the bill and I am charged extra $6 for a lemonade. I asked her why. She said oh strawberry lemonade isnt included just regular lemonade. she said I assumed you knew because most guests read the menu on the website. I said no that is your job to tell me it is extra and not assume that I know. She kept saying I assumed you knew. Worst excuse ever. I will not be back. the salad bar was so lackluster. cheap ranch, oil and vinegar dressings for some weird lettuce. it was still $100 for two including tip after the 40%. Run from this place. It was so annoying eating there. I couldn't wait to leave.

For the price, it was definitely overpriced since the food is just average at best, salad one option only can’t seem typically don’t like all the specialty foods basically chicken tenders and corn for the price again ridiculous. Don’t waste your time unless you just love African food. End of the African restaurants that I’ve been in at my 62 year life again this was average at best. Do not waste your time or money.

The real Disney experience you can find it at this restaurant. The whole gang, Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Donald they take their time table by table to greet and take pictures. Also the food is absolutely amazing, different plates and different flavors

Buffet is pretty average. Nothing special. Good thing we had the dining plan because otherwise this place is way overpriced. We got to see 4 characters which was the highlight.

I absolutely love this place. This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The service was extraordinary. They made me feel like I was family. They listened to my needs. And the chef even came out to talk to me and my family. Love everything. The characters, the service, the atmosphere and the food. I plan on returning in 2027.

The best restaurant in the park hands down, if you only eat at one restaurant this is the one. Buffet is lovely. PROS- delightful atmosphere with Disney characters roaming around. The food was amazing. Few places can do unlimited bacon and cook it to crispy goodness. The south African French toast is one i will need to find a copy cat recipe for later. Also the cinnamon croissants were really tasty and perfectly blended. Chicken Curry, Fresh fruit and the omelette bar round it out. "Worth the Carbs" Cons- Daisy only had 4 fingers...

Delicious and flavorful buffet that is African inspired. Servers are attentive and the characters are wonderful for interacting with much more intimate meeting than your usual meet-and-greet.

Best food on WDW property! The characters are funny and sweet! It can be a bit loud, unless you're seated in the buffet room. Overall, consistently awesome.

Tusker House is one of those places where the spectacle of the characters, the noise, the Disney gloss threatens to overshadow the food, but don’t let it fool you. Beneath the safari‑camp theatrics, there’s a buffet with real backbone. The mac n cheese, wildly off‑theme ends up being the quiet hero of the whole operation, playing wingman to everything from curry shrimp to meatballs. It lifts the entire meal, a humble floor‑raiser in a room full of distractions. And just when you think you’re done, when the sensible part of your brain begs you to stop, a fresh tray of bread pudding appears and you find yourself going back in, no regrets. Add in the African Bloody Mary. Spicy, balanced, crowned with a slab of candied bacon, and suddenly Tusker House feels less like a character meet‑and‑greet and more like a place to escape from the chaos of the park.

Easily the best I’ve had ever at Disney. We’ve been here the last three times, and whoever made the changes needs major kudos. Before it was just okay, but this time everything was fantastic. Except the guava mousse, that was weird lol. If you come to animal kingdom make sure you eat at tusker house.

This was a very fun restaurant. The characters were out and about regularly. Food was very good. Overall, tons of fun.

Our family did not love the flavors from the buffet. The kids in the group struggled. The 5 adults in the group wanted to love the food, but it wasn’t good. Spent $500 to eat salad and chicken tenders. From the reviews I didn’t think it could be “that loud” but it was “that loud” obviously you pay the premium for the character experiences, which were great, but would choose somewhere else next time.

This is by far the best place to eat in Disney. Amazing African-style food

We went a few days ago and I think the food was decent. But the characters come around hardly at all and if they do it’s for 30 seconds or less. $42 for a child that barely eats is a ridiculous price to eat here. It’s definitely a one and done for us. The margarita I ordered was soooooo strong we were choking on it. But for $21 I made it happen. Disney needs to drop some prices it’s not all worth what they charge. It’s not that glorious and magical It’s very very loud in there also. Very loud.
