Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
There is no middle ground in these 20 reviews. Front-of-house tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.0 stars. Price is the next most common subject, in 20% of reviews (averaging 5.0).
How food arrives shows up in 15% of reviews as well, averaging 3.7. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (15 of 20). 15 of 20 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (96/100) with 4 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was December 19, 2025. That puts it ahead of 67% of graded kitchens in Seminole County. For specifics, the last inspection cited dishwashing facilities and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

What an absolute hidden gem this place is great affordable drinks and food. Highly recommend checking out their chicken salad. It’s amazing lots of room. Lots of parking. Never crowded.

Excellent restaurant!! Kaley was our server and she was awesome! Very polite and attentive even with it very busy on a Sunday. We had the French Dip, Burgers, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Wings, Cheese Curds, and pickles and everything was delicious. Highly recommend this local establishment!!! Wish I had pics but we ate it all too fast.

First time. We loved the atmosphere, all the wood beams and craftsmanship is amazing, very cozy. Chris at the bar was so fun and attentive. Wings were awesome and the Kentucky Bourban Barrel Ale on tap was a bonus, well be regulars! Jeff and Tina

We've come here twice for bingo, and honestly, that's the main reason we return. Unfortunately, the food has been disappointing both times. The lettuce in the wraps and salads appeared wilted and old, the fries were overcooked, the chicken had a questionable texture, and even the water had an unpleasant taste. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests she was serving. I will note that she was a very kind girl. At one point, she cleared away my parents' shared appetizer even though they weren't finished with it. We felt bad for how busy she was and didn't bring it to her attention. The bingo itself is enjoyable, but the food quality and service experience leave a lot of room for improvement.

It pains me to write a negative review, because JAX has always been one of our favorite bars and restaurants for over 10 years. We came on a Thursday night, ordered beer and wings and sat on the patio. But our female server was completley checked out AND it was a very slow night. Zero customers in the patio, a handful in the restaurant. A half hour after our beers were brought out, we finally got our wings and after that, the server completely ignored us. She even came out to the other end of the patio at least five times bringing in her chalkboards but not once did she look over at us, check on us, bring us ketchup or mustard or ask us if we wanted to order more food -- which we clearly said we would do after receiving the wings. It got so bad that one of us had to actually go to the bar and order the next round of drinks and bring them back to the table ourselves. This isn't even "bad" service, it was almost comical. Completely unacceptable and has zero place in any credible establishment, period. We were comped two of the four beers we had but that's not why we came here. We just wanted to enjoy JAX and be treated with attentiveness and respect and instead, received the opposite. You guys have been around a long time, and I hope for your sake that this isn't the very low standard your now operating by.

Stopped in prior to a HS girls softball game @ Lake Mary. Sat @ the bar and ordered the pretzel bites and 20 wings. Food was served fast and hot. Will visit again.

We visited with our family and two young children and had a mixed experience. The food was good, and our server **Eric** was outstanding—professional, attentive, and ultimately the reason we stayed. He did an excellent job and deserves recognition. That said, our experience with management (The Manager Chris, You can see other reviews about her behavior as well. It does not seem isolated) was concerning. Shortly after being seated outside on a sunny day, the manager approached us, suggesting we move due to “rain,” despite there being no rain at all. Later, she came back regarding our children walking around the patio and mentioned electrical/power concerns. While we understand safety matters and appreciate concern for children, the repeated interactions felt unnecessary and targeted, especially given that our kids were not misbehaving or causing disruption. The overall tone left us feeling unwelcome. Because of Eric’s professionalism and the quality of the food, we chose to stay and give the restaurant grace. We’ll likely return again to see whether this was an isolated issue or part of a broader pattern. We have over a million followers and work with Orlando Foodie awards. I will come back to test out if she was having a bad day or if things need to escalate to the owners. For now: **Food:** Great **Service (Eric):** Excellent **Management Experience:** Needs Improvement

Very typical local bar vibe, with the expected bar food. We went in a Sunday night and didn't have a very good experience. The food was solid and the server was great. The bar tender could pour a beer, but could not make a cocktail. The real problem was how understaffed the place was. Our poor server was literally running from table to table, handing the entire inside and outside seating areas alone. They was no hostess, one bus boy and the poor guy was doing it all alone. Whoever manages the place should be ashamed of themselves.

Went for bingo night, it was a great time.

My husband and I went there for a lunch. The food was simple but delicious. My husband kept raving about the burger. The prices were reasonable and the beer selection is awesome. We really enjoyed that we could both go someplace and each have our favorite beer. His an Irish and mine a German on tap no less!

You can't beat the breakfast or lunch that are served here. Lovely outdoor patio in the summer. Excellent service.

I love this place. Food is great. Prices are fair. The manager Pete is a great guy. The place is biker friendly. A great place to get together with some friends.

Bingo is the best thing about this place.

Been here for Bingo a few times! Food and drinks are great and they’re very efficient even when super busy

Hubby and I went last night and the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great! The chicken wings are a good size, perfectly crispy and the sauce!!! You MUST try their Jax sauce it was beyond amazing with a little kick, some sweetness and the perfect finish! We also tried their blackened fish sandwich and it was also very tasty. Onion rings are huge and almost an panko crunch exterior. They have 50+ beers on tap here too! Recommend getting a flight so you can have a little taste of multiple flavors. Our server was awesome as well, she also brought us out some house made pickles and at that point my heart was won. BTW they also have hot house made pickles! If you are looking for a great little restaurant with a nice menu and good beer selection (amazing prices too) this is your place! They have multiple seating areas so you can sit inside or outside by the water as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good restaurant that is family friendly and budget friendly! I did see they have live music on Friday nights as well. This was our first time there and we will be back with friends and family soon! Thanks for a great date night!
