Reviews here split hard: 10 five-star against 7 one-star, with little in between. Service cuts both ways here, averaging 3.9 among the reviews that raise it.
If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (10 reviews). The split is 14 positive to 7 negative across 21 rated reviews.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. DBPR last walked in on April 16, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against Seminole County, it is safer than 100% of the restaurants we score. No violations were recorded at that visit, which is the cleanest result available.

Nasty and unsanitary I will be calling the health department. The elderly man who took my order and who provided me my food through the drive thru. I found a piece of his white hair in my burger. Just disgusting hair nets should be on everyone. I wish I could give 0 stars I will not be coming back to the location. This location is the worst location I’ve ever been too. The service has been trash the last few times I’ve come through the drive thru.

Good burger
-
no garlic spread on my garlic burger!!!??????almost chocked and died trying to eat this

I miss the old Steak and Shake, with actual servers and no kiosks. Plus you gotta have a QR code to get your drink. Just another way for corporate to put more money in their pockets. Probably my last time eating at one.
-
The manager was very understanding when I messed up my order at kiosk, Thank You
-
Anthony and Nelson provided excellent customer service, fresh fries and my milkshake was perfect.
-
Best steak burgers and tallow fries for the price and convenience.
-
fresh burger and fries.
-
Good burger and great milk shake in a retro 60s interior.
-
I ordered a combo meal and a free double cheeseburger on burger day 5/28 in the drive thru but you have to go inside. It's raining and I don't want to get out plus stand in line. Seeing me in my car wearing stars & stripes is not good enough, so I left to eat somewhere else.

ordered for food to be ready for pick up at 10:45, it’s 11:20 now and it’s still not ready at all. orders are coming out without shakes even ready. ridiculous

The last time I went to Steak ’n Shake was in 2018, and they’ve aged beautifully! One of the best places I’ve ever had a burger and fries—dare I say, even better than In‑N‑Out Burger. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and polite. The food was delicious, very fresh, and the beef tallow fries were especially good. To top it all off, it was very affordable! If we weren’t just visiting, this would definitely be a regular spot for us.

Got two large onion rings that were half empty. Paid extra to not get Extra

Let me start by saying I don’t expect 5-star service from Steak ’n Shake, so my expectations weren’t exactly high to begin with. But having to go up to the establishment three separate times just to get my order corrected was ridiculous. My burger was literally dripping grease, and when I brought it back because it was cold, they didn’t even remake it — they just kept taking the same burger back twice to “fix” it. To make it worse, the managers were rolling their eyes at me and acting rude, and one even tried telling me the item on my receipt wasn’t what I ordered. Overall, definitely not the experience I was expecting.
-
Great place to stop for a thick shake, thin fries and a smash burger.
-
The food was great but the claw machine was broken. My kids were bummed.
-

1st time at a Steak 'n Shake where there were NO waitresses!! You order and pay thru a kiosk and then they call your name to come get your order. Food was really good and we actually enjoyed the "experience".
-
Jayson was great! He came around to make sure everything came out right, service here is incredible!
-
Atia had wonderful customer service in the drive thru! Finn is loving his pup cup (steak n Shake has his favorite ones)
