Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The 3.8-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Reviews mentioning front-of-house average 3.8 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (15 of 24). Of the 24 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 6 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on speed of service at all.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (100/100), nothing cited at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was February 12, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Seminole County restaurants we grade. No violations were recorded at that visit, which is the cleanest result available.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

What a great little spot for really good Italian food! The hospitality here really felt like you were family. Without a doubt we will be back.

I've visited Terra Mia many times over the years and have seen improvements to the ambiance, which now feels more polished and inviting than it used to. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been inconsistent. Despite being a frequent customer, I often found the service to be distant and unwelcoming, which eventually made me stop visiting regularly. The food is good, but I realized I could prepare similar dishes at home for a fraction of the cost. The biggest issue for me has been the drinks. They are priced on the higher side, yet there seems to be little consistency in how they're made. Ordering the same cocktail on different visits often resulted in noticeably different drinks. Terra Mia has potential and the atmosphere has improved, but consistency in both service and beverages would go a long way toward creating a better experience for returning customers.

The best authentic Italian restaurant and pizza on a brick oven as well
-
Delicious, service was wonderful. Food was amazing.
-
All hype no taste especially the blonde I dealt with she was so snark and incompetent. Wasn't knowledgeable and had no understanding of Italian food. I would avoid this at all cost like the plague. Overpriced for a meal you can get across the street at Publix. Sad to see how they attract their audience with Americanized Italian food.

Terrible service.
-
Bad service lead to everything going down hill , my server slammed the cutlery, drinks, and plates and I wouldn’t recommend going here unless the service gets fixed or server get an attitude adjustment.

Delicious is an understatement. Great drinks also.

Terramia in Lake Mary is such a great spot—everything was absolutely delicious. I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo with gluten-free pasta, and it was so good. The sauce tasted authentic and homemade, which really stood out. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciate places that offer gluten-free options without sacrificing flavor, and this definitely delivered. The overall experience was excellent, and it’s a place I’d happily come back to. 📍 More gluten-free finds on Instagram: @glutenfreewithkeith

Had a fantastic meal at Terramia. The food was outstanding from start to finish. The braised beef ravioli were perfectly prepared—rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was superb, with a great balance of cheeses and a delicious, creamy texture with the perfect combination of a light, airy dough and just the right amount of crunch in the crust. Every bite had great texture and flavor. The service was friendly, attentive, and added to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for excellent Italian food in Lake Mary.

A good alternative for Italian food. Quality of service will depend on the server you get. Hostesses are friendly. Not open on Sundays.

I did take out. But I don’t what’s been happening recently… got a simple Cheese pizza and it was not terramia quality. It was like bread and cheese. No seasoning no warmth that they are known for. Sad 😢

The food was fantastic! We had to sit outside because it was Mother's day and we didn't have reservations, but it was fine and we had a great time

Ask for Alden for your waiter, he was spot on. The food was awesome.

Jordan was fabulous, super attentive, and friendly. Every dish we have tried have been phenomenal. They just renovated and expanded and it looks great.
-
Excellent atmosphere, Jonathan was our server and gave great service! The food was top tier, I got the pollo terramia 10/10. As well as an affogato for dessert. Would definitely recommend!

We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and unfortunately left feeling really disappointed because of the service. Our server, Jonathan, started off pleasant, but throughout the night became extremely passive aggressive and made us feel uncomfortable. The caprese salad was honestly one of the blandest I’ve ever had — just tomato and cheese with no balsamic, olive oil, salt, or seasoning whatsoever. After our appetizer, we noticed every table around us received complimentary bread except ours. We brushed it off, but shortly after, Jonathan approached the table and sarcastically said, “I heard you ladies want complimentary bread,” in a very rude and condescending tone. We were genuinely caught off guard because we hadn’t even complained — we had simply noticed it amongst ourselves. The entire experience made us feel uncomfortable, almost like our conversations were being listened to or monitored, which completely changed the atmosphere of what was supposed to be a fun birthday dinner. To be fair, the gnocchi was very good, the fettuccine Alfredo was good, and the gluten-free pizza was decent. But the customer service overshadowed the meal, and it’s upsetting that a birthday celebration ended with us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Awful waitress! Really tough to fully enjoy the meal and experience when the waitress is awkwardly rude. You'll know her if you get her - I'd recommend changing tables.

Food was delicious and staff are amazing kept checking on us and making us feel special and had us laughing all night

I recently contacted your establishment to secure a reservation. I was initially advised to call back at a later time. When I expressed concern that availability might be limited by then, the representative then proceeded to attempt to book my reservation. However, upon informing her that my party consisted of three individuals, I was informed that reservations are not accommodated for groups of that size. A little disappointed since this location was highly recommended.
