Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Sorted newest-first, the ratings decline as you read up. Opinion on service is split — those reviews land at 3.9 on average. After that, pacing appears most often — 28% of the corpus, averaging 2.4.
A third strand, freshness, appears in 17% of them at 3.7 stars. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (11 reviews). The split is 12 positive to 4 negative across 18 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. DBPR last walked in on April 10, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Lake County restaurants we grade. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Don't order the entre caesar salad with ahi tuna. I got a bowl of lettuce with tons of croutons, ahi tuna sliced so thin you can see thru it, spread on top and 2 dressings stacked in the lettuce for $21.99. Not even any cheese. Ordered a vodka gimlet, which is vodka, lime juice and simple syrup. But they had no lime juice at the bar. So, spent $63+ for a rare dinner out. My husband enjoyed his dinner but I was very disappointed.

The food is excellent and so tasty! Although I have eaten inside before, I did a pick up order this time and was so impressed with the process. I received a text letting me know they received the order and gave me a precise time to come pick it up. I arrived on time and was greeted immediately by a text and before I could even respond, the food was at my door. The gentlemen was so polite and friendly and the food was piping hot. When I arrived at my location, I was very pleased to see the food had been very carefully packaged and was still hot. It was such an enjoyable meal and I will definitely be back!

I waited 55 minutes for my catering order at Outback. I arrived at my appointment time 5 minutes early. I stood 55 minutes waiting by the kitchen. When I arrived at the customer’s office, their lunch period was nearly over. I was an hour late! Extremely poor planning on management at Outback. There ought to be communication between catering drivers coming in & cook staff. Cook staff doesn’t know who is standing waiting for orders, and which drivers haven’t even shown up. I watched food sit for 30-45 minutes going cold. I could see on the order tickets. Food that was due to be picked up way after mine, was already prepared and waiting & going cold. Why prepare orders that are due later, first? And orders that are due first, later, ESPECIALLY when that driver is waiting. Edit: I see this is an ongoing problem with this location. The manager needs re-training on communication & staff management.

Our server Jessica was AMAZING. She’s by far the best server we’ve had! She’s super friendly and nice, especially on a busy day like Father’s Day!
-
Delicious food, kinda high priced. Service was slightly substandard = They forgot to bring 1 side dish to the table & gave me the check belonging to another table!

A great place to eat. One of my favorites

Kiy the GM is awesome. Her and her awesome staff makes sure that while we waited for our food we, we're met with pure hospitality like you expect to receive from back in the day.

Would've had all fives except the door person was borderline rude and never smiles.

I was well taken care of by the staff. I enjoyed my meal and enjoyed relaxing with an early dinner. My waitress was exceptional.

We love outback steakhouse. This is one of our favorite restaurants however, we will never come back here. Sarah was our server and she was absolutely horrible. We had to tell her our order twice and it still came out completely messed up. We waited 10 minutes just to be able to order our drinks. The table behind us sat down after us and got their drinks before we did. When we finally did get our drinks, she brought us two drinks we didn’t even order. Then we ordered our food first yet the table behind us ordered the same thing we did and they got their food first and we had to wait almost another 10 minutes just to get our food. My steak came out bloody when I ordered a medium well and it was rare medium so I had to wait an additional seven minutes for my steak to come out right. The other table finished their dinner and paid before we were even halfway through with our food. Then when we went to pay using gift cards, I specifically told her to use the $10 gift cards first since they expire a lot sooner than the $50 gift cards that I handed her. Sarah again doesn’t listen and runs the $50 gift cards first and hand me back the $10 bonus cards which expire within the next month and a half. We had decided when we first sat down that we were gonna buy two of the $10 take home meals, which we decided not to anymore by the end of this because we didn’t wanna have to wait another 20 minutes for food from a lousy server. Yes, management gave us a complementary $9.99 chocolate chip…

Showed up at 11:30 for lunch on Friday. Was told 15 minute wait as only 2 servers and another one will be here in 15. Only 5 tables being served. Lousy scheduling so we left and went next door to Cracker Barrel.

I love this restaurant. Our waitress was great. The food & bread was really fresh. Hardy plates. The fountain drinks were not watered down and clean.

Food was great! Service was slow, had to ask for refills. Was a little pricey . Would be a nice special occasions event restaurant but have other places I would go first, that I enjoy more, for the price. Total bill for two was over $100
