What diners say — our read

Sorted by date, these 15 reviews trend upward. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.2, so it reads as a strength. Whether it is worth the money is the next most common subject, in 20% of reviews (averaging 5.0).

How long an order takes shows up in 20% of reviews as well, averaging 4.7. 11 of 15 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (8 reviews).

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (96/100), with 4 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. DBPR last walked in on February 12, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. Ranked against Brevard County, it is safer than 62% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include dishwashing facilities and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Everything above is computed from the 15 reviews reproduced below.

The service at this location was EXCELLENT. The team at this location made me feel like I was at home. My order was incorrect. The issue was quickly addressed with a smile and great care. I love this kind of customer service. Good food and great value.

Great Campfire chicken meal, and fried chicken... A suggestion, add pulled pork to the Campfire line...

Everything was good. But, my wife's & my food was not warm. But, that was the only thing that could be improved on.

My chicken and dumplings was a bit watery--usually it was very creamy--so I was a little disappointed

This review is way over due. I am sorry Alyssa. I have never had such over the top customer service as I did when I came here on a Sunday back in March. Alyssa was the best waitress I have ever had and I dine out a lot. Her manager (which I failed to get her name) was also incredible and very accommodating. After having a terrible experience at Longhorn in Palm Bay the night before it was so incredibly refreshing and pleasing to be treated so well. You are a AWESOME WAITRESS ALYSSA, keep doing what you are doing. And you are an extremely kind young woman, I would be so proud if you were my daughter. I loved the way you empowered yourself when my food didn't taste good to me. I also observed you being so very kind to an elderly man and his wife, your kind touch is so appreciated by many. God bless you and your family always. When I come back I will definitely ask for you. :-)

The service was so inattentive it was distracting. I have never had such poor service from this restaurant chain, and I’ve been eating here for over 40 years and was an employee at one time. There was a beautiful woman, China, looked like a server trainer, who made it possible for us to at least eat. I had to get up and ask for things three separate times. The best thing about Cracker Barrel to me and my mother was the shopping! Moving three different section sets in the middle of the day is not only poor planning, I couldn’t even find the things I wanted to buy. The staff in there was nice enough, but….. It’s a shame because Viera Cracker Barrel is the place where I usually meet people in that county because I don’t live in Brevard anymore. There are too many other choices at that exit.

Food was great...service slow and fragmented.

I had three eggs scrambled, two Sausage patties (because the don't serve links) and hash browns, plain hash browns. I ordered a side of sausage gravy to put on my plain hash browns. The two sausage patties were lukewarm, at best, cold even. They were way overcooked and brunt. They were more like hockey pucks than sausage patties. I was told that because I wasn't getting their "loaded hash browns" with my meal that I would be charged extra for plain, unseasoned, nothing added, hash browns. I thought OK, maybe $0.50 or a $1.00 at most. When the bill came the up-charge was $2.99. For plain, unadulterated hash browns. We will seriously think of going elsewhere next time we go for Sunday breakfast. Too bad, we used to like it.

Food is consistent and a good place to stop when you're traveling.
