Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The most recent reviews here are worse than the older ones — 3.7 against 4.9. Reviewers who mention service rate this place 4.1 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. Pacing follows at 27% of reviews, where ratings average 3.5.
The split is 17 positive to 4 negative across 22 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. Behind those, what it costs is raised in 23% of reviews (4.2 average). If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (15 reviews).
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen a D (68/100), with 3 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 5 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. DBPR last walked in on June 23, 2026. Ranked against Brevard County, it is safer than 6% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include food & equipment thermometers provided and accurate.
The practical read: people enjoy eating here, and the kitchen still failed its last inspection. Those are separate claims, and only the second one gets checked by anybody. Everything above is computed from the 22 reviews reproduced below.

Our server wanted to be anywhere else but there. While she was decent at her job, in an empty restaurant it was fairly inconvenient to have to track her down for things. Additionally, I think that their prices for the "bowl" of soup are extremely exaggerated, as you pay a decent amount for a far less than generous portion. For $10 you should get more than about 12 oz of soup.

Atmosphere was great. The appetizers we got were great as well. The food we all ordered was not good at all… my coleslaw had a moldy taste to it and I had to spit it out.. if you’re wanting to go snack a little and drink it would be a great place though!

Food was great with good service. We loved all the TVs. It was easy for everyone at the table to see all the games!

Great service and great food also affordable

Really good food liked the cajun Alfredo and my piña colada was good. Pretty girls worked there as well.

Took 30min to get a beer. Another long wait and was brought not the food I ordered. I live right around the corner it’s sad to see just how bad the service has gotten.

I only go to gators dockside to pick up doordash orders and every time I go in there. The order's never ready wait time for order is15/30/45 minutes. Where are you making for dinner? So you like waiting on it to go order. That you ordered just to go pick it up.Be about thirty minutes late, so you can get your order.Otherwise you can be sitting there.Doing nothing good luck on gators, have fun.

TL;DR - Food was good, service was serviceable, ambiance was quite (though it was an off time). If you haven't been here - it's worth the try... Stopped in at an off-time and on a somewhat off-day - it was about 4-ish-pm and it was on a Memorial Day Monday. The bar was busy, the outdoor seating was too, but inside it was nice and quite, and more importantly A/C cool. Let they us sit down where we wanted and we were promptly seen by a waitress who took our drink orders and left us to choosing what to pick from the menu. For an appetizer we choose these unique quesadillas stuffed with chicken. It was a very large appetizer that easily can go as a meal if you wanted it just for that. My son had their grilled cheese sandwich - which he loved; my wife had a sandwich which I can't recall, but she enjoyed as well. As for me, I had their gyro stuffed full of lamb and all the expected fixings. It was so big, there was really no way to handle it so I just ate it with knife and fork. Waitress was polite and somewhat efficient, would have liked for her to stop by a time or two more (considering it wasn't busy by any stretch) but it wasn't entirely a big deal. I can see that on an on-time and day this place must be hopping mad with people - and with the food they serve, I can see why. If you haven't given them a try - I humbly suggest you do...

I waited 30 mins on some wings when there was only 3 groups in the bar. The bartender was playing on his phone the entire time and the cook staff was goofing off. Also, the tables are sticky. Looked like they are giving beers to underage kids and even the wait staff was decided to eat on the clock while people are still waiting for there food.

Ava the hostess was amazing!!! We are local and eat here occasionally- ava basically became our waitress during the busy hour on trivia night- she is extremely well kept and coordinated with much knowledge on processes and the menu... someone like her in the service industry is hard to come by these days!!! I tried to give the manager a shout out but he was busy helping in the kitchen.. I hope management sees this!!!! She is a shining star in this establishment!!!! If it werent for her we probably wouldn't plan on coming back.

I was in today 05/20/26 and enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips. The food was very tasty and hearty. The batter is exceptionally light but flavorful. The staff especially the manager Mike was courteous, polite, and attentive. If you want a great meal in a clean restaurant with a good atmosphere I recommend this Gators 💯.

Great friendly bartender, drinks a bit lite. Otherwise good. The bartender gave me a couple samples of beer. Made a decision, on her recommendation.
