Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
50% of reviews here touch on how guests are treated, more than any other theme. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.0 stars. After that, speed of service appears most often — 22% of the corpus, averaging 3.0.
5 stars is the modal score, given by 11 of the 18 reviewers who rated. 15 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. That inspection was on March 18, 2026. That puts it ahead of 100% of graded kitchens in Brevard County. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Love going to The Island but... what has happened to the coconut shrimp appetizer?? I have been ordering the coconut shrimp for years, and they have always been perfect. My last visit was 2 weeks ago. The shrimp had so much (too much!) batter on them. It was so thick and made the shrimp hard to finish. I did not send them back as we had other guests at our table already eating their meals, and I did not want to disrupt the table. I happened to be telling my neighbor about my disappointment, and he told me he had the exact experience with over-battered shrimp just 2 nights ago. We are curious. Is there a new chef? Is there a new recipe? If a new recipe, please return to the old one. I need my coconut shrimp from The Island!

We went by water to this local favorite with great service and good food.

Inside was closed only tables were outside but yet it took forever to get a waitress to come take our order then when she did the Pina colodas were almost virgin. I had to ask for Rum. This is why the food rating is not a 5 star. Rhe food was really good. Hubs had crab cake sandwich and fries. The fries were like the old fashioned fries that came from the Ole ice cream shop cafe!!!!! The fried conch had a ton of flavor. You sit and kverlook the Indian River i believe. It was an awesome view. Not bugs. Just a couple of friendly birds.

This is a cool spot, feels like a roadhouse vibe. We went on Sunday and everything went smooth. The mixed drinks were strong, great views, had live music. We even decided to stay longer and sit closer to the dock for another round. Excited to see what this place is like on a Friday or Saturday night. Had the t-bone meal, veggies and loaded potatoe. The veggies were really good, there summer salad was also tasty.

EDIT: CREDIT FRAUD ALERT!!! HAD TO CONTACT CREDIT CARD COMPANY. SERVER APPLIED UNAUTHORIZED INCREASED TIP OF EXTRA $20!! We’re out of town and chose this place for the water view — and that part absolutely delivered. The view is amazing, and the live band with outdoor seating creates a really great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the setting. Service was slow across the board. Our total time on site was about 1.5 hours for a party of two adults and one child, and even getting the check has taken over 30 minutes. I ordered the Caribbean Mahi with jerk seasoning but was served blackened mahi instead, and the baked potato was missing entirely. They also struggled to get my beer order correct. The fish itself tasted good, but the portion was small and disappointing. My wife ordered the seafood sampler, and the portion didn’t seem to justify the price. Overall, great location and ambiance, but slow service and poor value took away from the experience.

This is why we live in Florida! Enjoy the scenery and have a tropical drink. I had a Pina coloda. Try the Irish Nachos and the delicious tasty wings! Go for it!

Waited for server to come for a long time and didn’t clear our table. Flies were everywhere won’t come back

We aren't usually in the area so we thought we'd try it. It's a little hole in the wall kind of bar/restaurant. We stopped for a late lunch. It's directly on the water. People were only eating outside which is fine with us. I recommend going a little farther behind the bar there are some very nice covered spots. They have cornhole setup. It looks fun but we didn't play. There were birds walking on the rocks and pelicans diving into the water. I had the Mahi Mango salad. It was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the philly. He said it couldve used more cheese but very good.

Beautiful facility, great riverside location.

Went with group of 15 for dinner. Very good service and food. I had their version of Shepherds pie. Frash mashed potatoes in center with peas and corn in gravy surounding with small beef tips covered with cheese. Pretty tasty.

Very good local place. Good food, good drinks

The food and atmosphere are always great. While the service is SOMETIMES a bit slow, the food in the atmosphere more than make up for it.
