Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The crowd and the inspector reached the same conclusion. Reviewers who mention tidiness rate this place 5.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, freshness and temperature appears most often — 21% of the corpus, averaging 5.0.
24 of 24 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. No one in this corpus comments on value for money at all.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. The visit behind that grade was January 5, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Lake County restaurants we grade. Nothing was written up at that inspection at all.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Lovely Place, comfortable, clean and well maintained. The owners John & Arthur provide a relaxing environment. The Breakfast are gourmet and the Inn is located so close to everything in Mt Dora. Highly Recommend its special place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adora Inn. Arthur and John welcomed us and we felt at home immediately. They are proud of their town and gave us many recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in downtown Mount Dora, just blocks away. We stayed in the Treehouse room on the third floor which was spacious, bright, comfortably cool and immaculate. The highlight of our stay was breakfast! Each morning these engaging gentlemen prepared a gourmet meal served on the enclosed patio. We will definitely be back to stay at this delightful and historical inn.

Me and my Wife enjoyed our stay for a long weekend. Great hospitality and breakfast were great. 4-5 min walking distance from downtown.

Breakfast was great and made to order. French toast croissants were awesome, fresh fruitbowl, and scones. Room was clean and very comfortable with a large tub my wife loved . Nothing negative to say about this place and if we're ever back in this area we'll definitely come back.

The Adora Inn is a quaint B&B with warm and inviting hosts. It is easy walking distance to downtown Mt. Dora and their Music and Town Hall. The beds were comfortable, the inn and rooms were very clean, the parking was on-site, and the Olive room was generously sized and tastefully decorated. ||However, if you are a post, pre, or menopausal woman who is plagued by night sweats or hot flashes, especially at night, this may not be the place for you. There are no individual in-room air conditioning units or individual controls, nor will the hosts set the temperature below 74 degrees, saying other guests will complain that it's too cold or their A/C unit will freeze up. If the A/C unit freezes up when the temperature is set in the lower 70s, the owners should consider upgrading to a new or better A/C unit to ensure guest comfort. They did provide an industrial fan, but it just blew around warm air and had little impact. Needless to say, our two-night stay turned into a one-night stay due to my inability to sleep in warm conditions because of my medical issue. The hosts did not provide a refund for the night we were unable to stay at the inn due to the warm sleeping conditions. Unfortunately, I couldn't go two nights in a row without sleep, so we chose to leave a day early.||If you like to watch TV to wind down before bed or as you get ready in the morning, the inn doesn't have TVs in the common areas or in the individual bedrooms. In addition, if you choose to stay in the Olive…

Cute and quaint B&B with amazing owners. Easy walking distance to restaurants and cultural events. Private parking. Definitely recommend. Note: bathrooms are small for tall men but we survived!

If you have the occasion to go to Mt Dora, don’t miss staying at the Adora Inn. Tasteful, immaculate, comfortable. Jon and Arthur are great hosts. Breakfast was terrific with Jon and Arthur having chef skills. A short walk to everything and better to be a few blocks from the center of town. Would absolutely stay again.

My husband and I had a very short but delightful stay at the Adora Inn. It was our first time visiting Mt. Dora so we searched to find a highly rated, convenient, and welcoming place. We were not disappointed. Our hosts, John and Arthur, were very accommodating to our needs, and we gathered helpful tips for our time in Mt. Dora. The breakfasts served were outstanding highlighting their unique culinary skills. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were well taken care of. Thank you John and Arthur!

This is the third time that my husband and I have stayed at the Adora Inn, and it never disappoints! John and Arthur are just the nicest people, very pleasant to talk to, always interesting stories to tell, and their hospitality and how they accommodate you is top-notch! The breakfast every morning is so delicious, and always served with a smile along with some good stories , and a visit once in awhile from their beautiful Salukis! The location is perfect for walking around the adorable town and the parks, and John and Arthur are always open to providing suggestions for places to go and eat! Keep up the good job, gentleman, we will definitely be back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Adora Inn. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We stayed in the Periwinkle room and the claw tooth bathtub was amazing. John and Arthur were the most gracious hosts. We appreciated all of the recommendations for dining options etc. And breakfast on the patio was amazing! Mount Dora is such a hidden gem. We will certainly be back!
-
We were delighted to find this gem in Mt. Dora. The rooms are beautiful and the location, one block from downtown Mt. Dora, is perfect for walking the town. The B&B is situated in a house built in 1916, but which is extremely well maintained. The breakfast was incredible. John and Arthur are the perfect hosts, attending to your needs, but never intrusive. We will definitely be back.
-
My husband and I just spent 2 nights at the Adora Inn in Mountain Dora and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Periwinkle Room and found it to be very comfortable. Our stayed included breakfast each morning which was homemade and delicious. The location was perfect within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The hospitality couldn’t have been better.
-
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at "Adora Inn". John and Arthur were very pleasant, their daily breakfast was delicious and their help with guiding us as to where to go and what to do made our trip so much more fun. We can't wait to return with some more friends!
-
This comfortable Bed and Breakfast is steps away from downtown, providing easy access to the shops, restaurants, bars and lakefront of this quaint community. The Inn itself is located on a peacefully quiet street, providing one way access out of town and a bi-directional bike path on the other lane. The hosts, John and Arthur, were delightfully engaging, entertaining and a wealth of knowledge concerning our options for dining, shopping and sight-seeing. They confidently steered us in the right direction to realize the best of Mount Dora. Both the Inn and their recommended options, consistently provided an engaging and entertaining level of gracious service that is rarely found in a friendly bantering manner. On top of all this, the breakfasts were an absolute treat. We loved our stay and highly recommend the Adora Inn.
