Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
These 18 reviews are more disappointed than angry. Reviews that raise whether it is worth the money average just 2.6 stars — this is where the complaints concentrate. After that, service appears most often — 33% of the corpus, averaging 3.7.
Of the 18 rated reviews, 11 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below. A third strand, speed of service, appears in 22% of them at 3.5 stars. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (6 of 18).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (97/100) with 3 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was November 17, 2025. That puts it ahead of 89% of graded kitchens in Lake County. For specifics, the last inspection cited food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Great burgers and great people.
-
Pickup order - went smooth, food was ready and hot when i walked in.
-
Real hamburger and potatoes are better than any bi-products at other fast food restaurants. Not happy with the new price increase

Always enjoy Five Guys burgers and especially fries, but it's getting pretty expensive. So we only splurge every few months now. Great portion size and pretty quick service. I don't really care for the tip expectations so I usually pay cash so I can drop in a dollar. Good food but pricey for fast food!
-
Expensive. For the price you pay you can go out to a nice restaurant. You can order out at many of the steak houses in town and get a better burger.
-
I really enjoy the fresh burgers and they make it right in front of you

This Five Guys is always solid!

Five guys is really going down hill. The portions used to make the price worth it but their iconic large fries have shrunk so dramatically in portion and are still a crazy price. Their patties are getting smaller too. Why am I paying restaurant prices for fast food portions. Not to mention everyone I've known who's worked there says they treat their employees terribly. Honestly I won't be returning again.
-
Much larger order of fries!
-
Food quality is ok.. very overpriced
-
Clean restaurant, great service.
-
I love Five Guys! The food is fresh, piping hot and served with a smile. The only problem with the Mount Dora location is that they're stingy with their fries. So...next time I'm in the mood for a delicious burger and fries I'll drive to the Daytona location where they generously heap the fries in the bag. I don't mind paying their prices. I just want value for my money.
-
Good service and food as usual. But now the stopped with the "meake it a meal" option AND raised their prices. Wrong wrong move.....
-
The store turned off online ordering and when asked if they would honor the internet special they said no.
-
I think they still serve real meat here. In any case, it looks real to me, not artificial like in other fast food restaurants.
-
Great burgers. This location is always clean and has a friendly staff.
-
Great service, always good food.
-
Ok food. Too expensive of burger.
