Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This listing's ratings cluster at the two ends of the scale. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.0, so it reads as a strength.
17 of 21 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. One subject never comes up here: plate size. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (16 reviews).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (98/100) with 2 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on May 4, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 85% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include insects/rodents/pests.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

The atmosphere is great but the food quality continues to decline. I have had the fish tacos for years and they were wonderful. Last year, they were not as good and this year they were not good at all. Everything is so bland. It used to be so flavorful. I really liked this place. Please post if you get a new chef.

The calamari was excellent! They served it with a marinara sauce and a sweet sauce. We also ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was really good as well. We sat at the bar and the bartender really hustled. Great experience!

Olivia was out server and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable with the food items and very helpful with my daughter and choosing her meal. We will definitely be back and request Olivia!

Hadn’t seen there in a couple of years! As we are Floridians & have spent many years in NSB we remember when Chaseʼs on the Beach 1 st opened but we never felt of a good vibe even though it should have been right on the beach! We heard it had been remodeled & the menu updated! We went tonight & the vibe was beautiful & the food excellent!! The Baja Chicken Sandwich was so yummy with a very different Baja Sause & the best fries ever!!! Would love the recipe for that sauce1The drinks awesome & great priced! Recommend to check this place out!

Went there with our dogs for dinner as we were told they were dog friendly on the deck - The guy with the flowered shirt who worked there 6/28/26 was so rude saying they didn't want us because weren't service dogs! DONT GO HERE! RUDE !

Christian our waiter was fabulous friendly and very knowledgeable. My Dinner was the Tuna and shrimp in a honey soy sauce with rice and a summer vegetable. Delicious 😋

Great spot to eat right on the beach! They have a pool and pool bar well. We got a great table outside and Sydney was our server. She was fantastic!! The passion fruit margarita was delicious!! Everyone loved their food and the live band was good too. We will definitely be back on our next visit!!
-
The food we got was good, but if you look at the menu online it’s different then the actual menu so be aware. The wait for our food was long for a couple sandwiches and soup!
-
First time eating here and we loved it. The Baja chicken sandwich was amazing and Christian was a great character throughout our dining experience. Will be coming back soon to try other items on the menu!

My friends and i decided to have lunch here and we were addressed in a rude manner by a server named cheyenne. 3/6 of us tipped. one had a FIVE dollar drink and didn’t tip. She was hardly at our table another sever had to attend to us giving us to go plates. She says “ i’m going to give you ladies some advice for proper etiquette when eating out, make sure you have enough money for the food and a tip. we live off tips” first of all 3/6 of us have jobs because we are TEENAGERS!!!!! Should not be addressed like that! If you live off tips and have that attitude maybe you should consider getting a job where you don’t need costumer service…..

Beach bar to the max including their own pool. Swimwear and bare feet perfectly acceptable outside. Local swordfish and mahi tacos were perfectly cooked.
