Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
An average alone would undersell where this place is now. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.8 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, how long an order takes appears most often — 20% of the corpus, averaging 4.8.
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 15 of 20. Behind those, serving size is raised in 15% of reviews (5.0 average). 19 of 20 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 1 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (99/100) with 1 basic violations. That result dates from May 4, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 91% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. What the inspector actually wrote up: insects/rodents/pests.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Michele upstairs in the treehouse was AMAZING.!!!! My husband and I can't say enough good things about her!... Besides her, the food, the music and the atmosphere were all top notch. We stopped in for some quick appetizers and a salad but will definitely back with more family and friends. What an amazing experience. We have nothing but great things to say about Norwoods and its staff, especially Michele with one l.

This was our second time at the Treehouse Bar. I enjoy the live music, which is not overpowering. We could still talk but gives a nice ambiance. Most importantly, the food. I really like the choices-tonight I had the angel hair pasta with fish, shrimp, and scallops. My spouse got a burger patty and it was really good too. Delicious! Dessert was great, my drink was yummy. Our service was good...water filled throughout and he checked on us just enough to not have to answer with a mouth full of food but also not go without.

Jamie was an outstanding server! Food was insanely good! The tuna tower is a 1000/10!

Jamie B was awesome, he deserves 10 stars

The food was FABULOUS! Well labeled menu for allergens. Ordered the GF gumbo, bacon wrapped scallops and took cobbler to go! Friend had the coconut shrimp and what turned out to be a huge portion of delicious zucchini bread. Despite the rainy day, there's plenty of covered area to enjoy the trees. Service was great, everyone friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Beautiful treehouse and we didn't care about the street noise or miss the beach view.

Jamie was our waiter. He was great! Attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and atmosphere fun.

The atmosphere was amazing, the building itself is huge and has great architecture. The food is flavorful and the portions are quite big. The staff is very accommodating and are always there when you need them. They do take reservations as well! High recommended! 5*****

Honestly had such a good time at Norwood! I got the swordfish stack and it was seriously so delicious. You can totally tell everything is made from scratch because the flavor was amazing. The service can be a bit on the slow side, but the staff was super nice and the overall experience was great. Love the unique treehouse vibe too. Definitely worth a visit!

Fun place, good food and service!
-
Super cool looking place which is the main perk I think. The food was decent but not out of this world. We had a dog with us that's actually service dog in training. It's a dog friendly place we were told when we called so his status is irrelevant. We were not told you were not able to be upstairs. We were also not told we would be treated differently by a waitress that was apparently not a fan of dogs and didn't want to have anyone seated by us. Education of service dogs in a service industry is pretty important. Keeping everyone away from us isn't it. He needs that opportunity to be corrected in high traffic area not cast away in a corner. Overall killed the vibe and experience.

Our waiter was Ian. He was absolutely fantastic. Polite, funny, friendly and so attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better waiter.

Great food! Pork Chop was great! The zucchini bread is special great!
-
Great food and an even better atmosphere. I especially loved that the treehouse area is 21+ only, it made for a peaceful, adults-only dining experience. Such a nice touch and one of the reasons I'll be back!

We had dinner there with a group of friends. We enjoyed the dinner very much. The waitress named Lex was excellent. She just added to the wonderful time we all had. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Drove 2 hours because we heard this place was good... Was not disappointed.... The atmosphere was great we were in the Treehouse which is over 21 only and they had wonderful music. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC... All fresh food and made fresh daily.... The flavorings were perfect....I cannot remember the last time I have had food this good. The service was wonderful... Everyone was friendly.... Definitely worth the Sunday drive to check out someplace new.... We will be back..

WOW!!! You must go here for dinner. We went with our parents who have mobility issues and sat downstairs in the beautiful classy and comfortable section. Thanks to an elevator, we could have but didn't go upstairs into the treehouse...saving that for next time! By Far....the best seafood Gumbo I've ever had and I've had it all over the South. Surprisingly impressive! If you are a Gumbo fan this is a must have!! Meal portions were perfect and the flavors were exquisite. We wanted to explore other restaurants while we were in town but we just had to go back for more!! We haven't done that in 20 years or more. Can't wait to come back to visit and this will be our spot for meals!!! Not to go unmentioned was the amazing staff. We were well cared for as our drinks were never empty and wait staff was fun and attentive. Totally fine dining in a non-stuffy fun environment. You MUST include this restaurant in your plans. Don't miss this one!!

Good rival to the garlic.
-
Confusing experience picking up a to-go order. Directed to the noisy bar counter to collect dinner orders for 5, which most of my family were disappointed with their overpriced and lackluster dishes (how do you fail at BBQ chicken?) Will not re-order.

Great food and dog friendly will definitely be back
