Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Little tension on this listing: diners rate it well and the kitchen graded well. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.3 stars. After that, value for money appears most often — 32% of the corpus, averaging 5.0.
Wait times shows up in 21% of reviews as well, averaging 5.0. The split is 18 positive to 1 negative across 19 rated reviews. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 17 of the 19 reviewers who rated.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (99/100) with 1 basic violations. That inspection was on June 3, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. That puts it ahead of 91% of graded kitchens in Volusia County.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Everything above is computed from the 19 reviews reproduced below.

A must stop after the beach! Really good service & selection. They have amazing quesadillas, shrimp tacos & coffee options + ice cream I was told was good. Will definitely be back each beach trip!

I don't know how I have avoided eating here. Everyone I know has recommended it for years. The food was fantastic, especially the queso. I will definitely be back. I don't know how, but they have such a small kitchen but our food was ready so fast. Everything about this place is amazing.

Surprised to see a fave on the menu, mofongo

One of our favorite local places. Good food and affordable prices! Good vegetarian options (opt for the black beans, as the red are not vegetarian). I love their nachos!
-
Delicious! Had the special - tortilla encrusted amberjack on a bed of yellow rice with corn and blackbean salsa and a big scoop of guacamole on top. Also had the street corn. Awesome and at a great price too!

Food is phenomenal. If you go during dinner(5-8pm specials) expect to wait in line.

The fish tacos were so good we went back for more. Incredible food and service with a wonderful laid-back Florida vibe. If I lived closer I'd be here all the time.

The Food is made fresh when you oder and everything we ordered was awsome.

Stopped at this little hole in the wall for the first time. I’ve driven by it many times and it was always busy. Definitely worth trying. Great Mexican and Cuban food. The steak nachos were delicious.
-
Actually incredible value and some of the best tacos I've ever had. The staff were all very kind and I really enjoyed the shrimp tacos I had gotten. Definitely recommend the "puffy" taco shells! Don't worry too much if you see a big line, it moves very quickly. We maybe waited 5 minutes tops with almost a dozen people ahead of us, food came pretty quickly, too! Can't wait to come back.

Went today and asked the cooks to put on gloves and the owner got so irritated she yelled at me to take my order. Family owned business so be careful NO ONE wears gloves after seeing someone dig in their sweaty gym shorts and top someone’s food with tomatoes …. Again no gloves !!! Kindly walked away from the rude owner !! Edgewater what else can I expect . I was regular NEVER AGAIN !!!

Was the best taco salad I ever had! 🥰

Always 10/10 place. Been coming here for MANY MANY years. When I moved away I flew back mostly for tacos. This is the kinda place I could drive by and see them open after eating a feast, im still pulling in for tacos.
