Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
People either love this place or they do not, and the ratings show it. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.2, so it reads as a strength.
One subject never comes up here: how clean the place looks. Of the 22 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (16 reviews).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (90/100) with 3 intermediate and 1 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on April 24, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. Ranked against Volusia County, it is safer than 51% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Everything above is computed from the 22 reviews reproduced below.

Excellent staff, food and atmosphere. Off the beaten path but worth it, on the water. Shrimp was great, had grilled and blackened. Coleslaw good too.

Glad we didn't bring guests! We arrived at 4:50 today, waited for 22 minutes with no service. Husband approached hostess asking how do we get served! The blond young waitress who helped 2 nearby tables ignored us even after seeing we had been there before 2 other tables. Finally Karli greeted us with an apology. Our fish chowder came after we reminded them, but food was good as always. Thanks to Karli, she saved the day. Oh, and if you bring a dog, you'll get service immediately....like the couple next to us who arrived 15 minutes after us!

Service was great but the food not so much. Too crunchy. Cod fish was uncutable. Bacon on the soft shell crab over cooked Soft shell crab fried too long and the onion rings were too crunchy.
-

On Saturday all you eat shrimp for $27.00. Was worth it I had grilled shrimp and it was delicious
-
horrible service, took 2 hour to only get 2 plates (12) shrimp on their all u can eat. Slow as molasses on recorders. Fries GREASY!! COKE TASTE LIKE PAPER STRAW.
-
Not the usual quality. Takeout Food was ready early and NOT HOT. In closed up Styrofoam fries and onion rings soggy. Vodka oyster shots ordered came as an oyster in Zing Zang not Vodka. We live here and been there many times. Very disappointed today.

The food was fantastic in the atmosphere was fine. But in my opinion, no matter how down home a place is, they should never serve you a cup of soup with the soup dripping all over the outside of the cup. I understand they may just scoop out the soup, but wipe the cup, please! I don’t really want to know that you put everybody’s cup inside the soup pot!
