Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
An A inspection result sits behind a review average of just 2.5. Reviews that raise front-of-house average just 2.5 stars — this is where the complaints concentrate. After that, freshness and temperature appears most often — 29% of the corpus, averaging 2.2.
The single most common rating left here is 1 star (9 of 17). A third strand, value for money, appears in 24% of them at 1.3 stars. Of the 17 rated reviews, 5 sit at four stars or better and 10 at two or below.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (100/100), nothing cited at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was January 14, 2026. That puts it ahead of 100% of graded kitchens in Orange County. No violations were recorded at that visit, which is the cleanest result available.
The weak part of this listing is the experience, not the sanitation — those are different failures. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

The wonderful staff is always super friendly and cheerful and the whole process is a delight! It's a nice change from the level of service I normally get at other places. Every member deserves the recognition of doing their jobs well. Thank you!

Manager on duty at lunch time 1 pm on 6/16/26 was yelling at the employees. Wow how much are they paid? SMH
-
If they had a zero that would be great. Person on drive they speaking was the absolute rudest person, and shouldn’t be dealing with the public. They get snotty when you’re asking a question, you pull up to the window and get nothing but a hand out the window reaching for your payment. Then your bag is handed to you with you not knowing if that is the complete order because there is no thank you . Nothing , do you ask is this the complete order and you get another dirty look with attitude!! Don’t go to the Ocoee Popeyes . Who knows what’s in the bag!!!

Always freezing cold in there and employees ignor you. They force you to order on the self check out.

Food was good

Terrible, ordered in the drive thru and they gave me the oldest dried up chicken ever. I went to return and ask for the 3 pc instead, since the tenders were so old and dried up. I ordered from the specials menu and they’re the same price on the same special menu. The man at the front literally says im not doing that and grabs it from my hand and throws new tenders in a box, drops it and walks away. The girl at the window told me I couldn’t order a drink at the window. The workers are miserable and I get it’s busy and hot but this is unacceptable. When I go to Canes they never do this, they don’t at Chik fil a, they don’t at Culver’s, Huey Magoos and so on. It’s so many places to get chicken why would I ever choose Popeyes again, I won’t.
-
Extremely expensive $18 for 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit don't waste your money here no wonder why ther going out of business
-
Popeyes at Corner of Maguire rd and 50 Ocoee has been more inconsistent with breading that I don't like, which is less crusty and greasy/mushy.The popeyes on Pine Hills location west 50 orlando taste much better. And staffs there more friendly than this location
-
Don’t waste your money, waited 30 minutes for a simple 5pc. Short staffed, lack of awareness.

The best Popeyes I’ve been too. Great service and pleasant staff.

Today my wife and went into the store to purchase the two can dine meal. The chicken was not fresh and showed when chicken has been sitting for a while. John I am assuming is the shift manager tells my wife the food is fresh, and he has a witness. John spelled his name out as in a menacing way. He refused to change the meal, then he said it will take 30 minutes and berated my wife. When I walked in the cashier said here we go again. I asked for a refund, and gave the sides and back. He sarcastically said have a nice day as if he was proud to send another unsatisfied customer out the door, instead of apologizing. We frequent this establishment, but not anymore. Will not drive to another because I demand respect when patronizing any establishment.

Shrinkflation. Prices go up, the sides get smaller. The large side is now the same size as the small was 5 years ago. Popeyes is now not on my list for chicken spots.
-
Manager was very rude and provided horrible customer service. Manager needs training on how to communicate with customers.

We ordered the one piece box and it was supposed to come in a Bento box. But everything was cold and the cashier did not give us our receipt. I can't even explain how unprofessional. All this was, why are you gonna charge a certain price for something to give the food to the people super code and everything and y'all very rude up there? I never had this much experience here before. You're getting a one star on my behalf. If I can give you 0 stars, I could use 0 stars.

This location near Smoothie King had better accuracy, teamwork, and hot food than any Popeye's I've ever gone to in Florida or Georgia! My family enjoyed the meal.
