Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Complaints here are real, but they are mostly not about the kitchen. Reviews that raise how guests are treated average just 2.3 stars — this is where the complaints concentrate. How food arrives follows at 26% of reviews, where ratings average 4.8.
9 of 19 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 9 are two or lower. A third strand, wait times, appears in 26% of them at 2.4 stars. 1 star is the modal score, given by 8 of the 19 reviewers who rated.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (93/100) with 1 intermediate and 4 basic violations. That inspection was on April 9, 2026. That puts it ahead of 62% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
The weak part of this listing is the experience, not the sanitation — those are different failures. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Nice , pleasant visit
-
Very disappointed with my chicken, I was given old chicken, if it wasn't for the distance I would have taken it back!!!!
-
Went around 5:15 to pick up my order the manager, staff and drive thru worker did amazing! Fast and food was fresh
-
Great food and staff, Irene was a sweetheart, hire more people like her!!
-
The special at this time was the big box $6 two pc with two sides
-
They got a 6$ big box meal right now and its the best fast food deal running right now anywhere. Two piece chicken or three tenders with two sides and a biscuit for 6$ only 2 extra bucks for a drink thats crazy - i will say though this location sometimes cant handle the crowd because you’ll be waiting during high volume times for chicken but at least you get your food fresh!

Went to this location on Friday night staff is rude and impersonal ordered three of the 6 dollar boxes and the manager Jessica said she couldn't wait for these damn $6 boxes to be over. A delivery driver came to the counter and asked for an order and she responded if you don't see it up there it's not ready, you will just have to wait. I know it's Friday but to wait almost 30 minutes for fast food is ridiculous. Then when they finally got to my order they had to wait for fries. Ended up waiting again while the manager continued to be dismissive to customers and employees alike. Food was good but I don't think I will be returning to this location for awhile.

My initial review of this Popeyes was scathing and unapologetic. However, it appears they have improved in quality and timeliness since then
-
Ordered 2 chicken sandwiches the other day on uber eats, really easy order. I'm missing a chicken sandwich. Sad.

Atmosphere is absolutely disgusting! The cashier looked me right in the eye and coughed in her hands and continued to touch one of the kitchen workers on the shoulder with the same, dirty hands. Ran out of there when I heard a person from the kitchen cough as well. This is big safety hazard and is absolutely unacceptable.
