Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The crowd and the kitchen disagree here, and the gap is wide. Reviewers who mention service rate this place 4.9 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. Whether it is worth the money follows at 26% of reviews, where ratings average 4.2.
Newer reviews score better than older ones (5.0 recent against 4.6 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (18 reviews).
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen an F (53/100), with 4 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 9 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. DBPR last walked in on April 17, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 2% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include cross-contamination and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
What to do with that is a judgement call — the reviews describe the experience, the grade describes the conditions behind it. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

We absolutely love this place. I've tried several Indian food spots around Orlando and hands down this is the best one I've had. We order from a delivery service at least 2-3 times a month or put in an order online and pick up. We have been inside before and it is quaint with a wonderful team behind the counter. It does have a dine-in option or a carry out option. They take their time making the food and even when we get it delivered, it is always hot and fresh. There has never been a time where I've ever had to warm anything up!! And that right there says alot because you know you can get your food cold/soggy with delivery services. 10/10 we recommend this to everyone.

Came in for a quick lunch date food was soooo good I’ve been trying a bunch of Indian food places and was close to this location glad we stopped in will be coming again!
-
Amazing food and great service. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. A wonderful lunch experience!

My first visit was truly amazing and the staff was very thorough. The numerous check-ups to ensure my glasses were filled, sauces were enough, and the presentation made the atmosphere feel like i was having dinner at a family dinner. Thank you Ahamad Restaurant for the enjoyable experience. I shall return.

I love this restaurant I’m here too often. Great people and great food. I only order takeout and it’s always a smooth process. I usually stick to the basic butter chicken / vegetable samosa / and naan. Meat is halal which is amazing, but I really enjoy their aloo cholay (idk if I spelled it right) it’s a veggie chickpea dish. Taste amazing! Would love to add chicken / protein to it. But if you are craving Indian food I highly recommend this place. I usually run the lowest spice and I had no issues (stomach surgery). The atmosphere is usually dead, as they are kinda mostly empty, but I think its due to the poor area / location

I have been ordering from here for years, best Butter Chicken I've ever had, and the garlic naan is great to go with it. Was disappointed when I moved away, and very happy to be back near it.

I loved this place. We stumbled upon it by going to the Mexican place next door originally and then craved Indian when we came out of the car. Took a gamble and they were having a buffet which I haven't had in years. My son loves the idea so he wanted to try it but there was a big problem right towards the end of us finishing our meals. I saw a roach by the window which means, that entire plaza has roaches or the kirchen. :/ I discretely told them ( there were a lot of people there ) about it to not upset other guests and they were grateful. As someone that works hospitality and with customers all the time, I wouldn't have let me as the customer go without some sort of percentage off from our meals because even though I was kind about it , someone else in my shoes wouldn't simply walked out or made a big deal. All I'm saying is that I would've handled that differently as a business owner. I do wish them all the best but be aware. *

One of the most delicious Indian food I ever had! The biryani rice and tikka masala were simply fantastic! Highly recommend!

Ash and Runa were very kind to me and provided great service. The food was delicious and incredible.

Amazing food and customer service. Will be back again

I prefer this location over Waterford Lakes for its comfortable and more intimate setting as well as the food seems to have a little more flavors... I order their Chicken biriyani and Curry chicken often and I really do enjoy how they give options to choose your spice levels. The lunch buffet stays open a little longer than some other Indian lunch buffets!
-
My husband and I had the buffet. There were many choices and everything was cooked well and piping hot. We most enjoyed the butter chicken, pillau rice, pallak paneer and lentil soup. We will be back again soon. Thank you Manish for keeping the buffet open a bit longer for us late comers.

Excellent food. Great prices

Great food and great service. The wait staff was very attentive and we had no trouble getting our orders in or waters refilled. Our server gave us complimentary papadam which was nice of him! We got the chicken samosas and those were really good. I got to keep the sauces to put on my tandoori which was great as well. The tandoori chicken comes out sizzling like fajitas, the chicken was well seasoned and tender. The price was great as well.

Really great indian food. Very authentic. Prices were very reasonable. I found out that they have a lunch buffet everyday until 3:30. The music can be a little more unbeat but everything else was outstanding. Update: tried the buffet definitely worth it. Wow! The flavors of everything was so mind blowing thar is hard not to try everything. This place is becoming my favorite indian restaurant.
